BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ Christmas Number One Album Predictions, Pt. 3

Posted by: dancemberlexa 18th December 2020, 10:17 AM

Eminem is now in the race so here's a final poll. I'm gonna wait to see how he does on Spotify but I suspect he won't be going to #1 this time as it's 'only' a deluxe version of his last album.

Pt. 2 predictions:
Paul McCartney - McCartney III [ 17 ] ** [41.46%]
Taylor Swift - Evermore [ 10 ] ** [24.39%]
Michael Ball & Alfie Boe - Together at Christmas [ 9 ] ** [21.95%]
Neil Diamond & the London Symphony Orchestra - Classic Diamonds [ 3 ] ** [7.32%]
Michael Bublé - Christmas [ 1 ] ** [2.44%]
Other [ 1 ] ** [2.44%]

It's quite a hard one to predict but I think McCartney will just about pip everyone else to the post.

Went for ball/Boe this time

Posted by: slowdown73 19th December 2020, 01:42 PM

Anything but evermore please!

Posted by: Slade 19th December 2020, 01:45 PM

Surely 'evermore' won't get there? The first week hype has already passed and she doesn't have 9 vinyl variants this time like with 'folklore'

Once again sticking to Paul McCartney

Posted by: Bjork 19th December 2020, 01:50 PM

lol there were actually 16 vinyl variants but didn't ship til like 6 months later

Posted by: Slade 19th December 2020, 01:53 PM

Oh oops, I just remember 9 alternative covers originally dropping as I wanted one laugh.gif

Forgot that the cassettes and records are once again not shipping for a while so just CDs for this week then with a couple of boosts down the line!

Ball and Boe.

The CD’s for evermore aren’t shipping from Amazon til the new year now and I’m not sure about her store so the only physical sales it’ll have this week are from HMV (supermarkets don’t seem to be stocking it yet), so yeah I’m not expecting massive numbers this week at all

Posted by: Liam.k. 19th December 2020, 02:42 PM

I’m sticking with Michael Ball and Alfie Boe.

I hope, Sir Paul

Posted by: Bjork 19th December 2020, 03:58 PM

still think it will be B&B (sadly)

Amazon are not shipping Taylor?
I thought Amazon were shipping but not guaranteeing it to arrive before Xmas, which is not the same for chart purposes.

McCartney has that show with Eldris Elba tonight prime time Saturday night on bbc 1!

They were, until yesterday or so, when they changed the dispatch date until the new year.
Luckily, I ordered mine early on, and it's coming Tuesday.

I’ll predict Paul McCartney this time I think, Eminem clearly has no chance considering he’s not doing amazingly on streaming. Didn’t realise this album was seemingly a lot more hyped than his last few.

Wonder if the fact HMV and other record shops are now closed in just Tier4, which is all London and the SE basically. Will that affect CD sales? Still supermarkets. Amazon aren't shipping many products now until after Christmas.

Yeah, Of course it will. I think supermarkets in Wales have tapped them off to stop people buying them in lockdown like they did last time.

We’ll see the lowest selling album sales for Christmas that’s for sure sad.gif

Voted for Paul McCartney in the poll

Haven’t listened to the new side to it but the original one in Jan was excellent imo. ‘Darkness’ is one of his best songs ever for me.
