I think it's gonna be an other big hit for her, the song is ACE !
 It got a cool vibe and the lyrics are great again ! Actually most of the album tracks would make great singles !

I think people arguing about which song should or should not be released from an album (and not just Katy Perry's, but any album really...) is largely irrelevant... The singles market is up the sh!tter and has been since the mid-80s, singles don't make any money(in fact, they probably make a loss if anything for the most part when you take into account marketing, production and promotion costs, and the costs of shooting a video), they only serve a purpose now to sell or boost the sales of an album or to sell Tour tickets (which is where artists DO actually make money...). You could release tracks on MySpace or Bebo, people could download it for nowt, put the video on YouTube (another incredibly effective marketing tool to sell albums...), and it wouldn't make much overall difference...

It is still to be seen wherever she'll have a long lating career though, as an prediction id say she probably has.
Also the singles are rather relevant since they need to pick the best (or what will be best recieved really) to help sell the album and the tour. |

Instead, she has had two huge hits to her name, generating more media attention (I see her in the papers everyday for some reason or another) and constantly bringing 'the Katy Perry brand' to a wider audience... let's imagine if Rihanna had chosen to come back in 2006 with We Ride instead of SOS...that would have been the end of her career |

Re-listening to this to celebrate the 15th Anniversary. I love this album so much.

Album is AWFUL. Thinking of Protoscreech is one of the worst songs ever recorded!! Just shockingly bad. I Kissed A Girl is so beige and boring, Ur So Gay is just cringe and an attempt at being cool. That leaves two good songs - Vegas and Hot n Cold...
