Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones has launched a new side-project! Teaming up with American indie band The Ocean and the Wave (who I’d not heard of before this point), they’ve launched a new band named Far From Saints, and their debut single ‘Let’s Turn This Back Around’ is out now!
It’s quite a nice change in direction from the usual Stereophonics stuff tbh, it’s a little bit Country-ish. |

Was going to post about this last week, but didn't think people on here would be interested so didn't
I think it's a great track and great to see Kelly working on other projects whilst the Phonics take a break, but hope they won't be away for too long though. |

I reckon their next album will be late 2024, maybe early 2025. They've never really had any big breaks before though so they're probably due one! |

Usually 2-3 years. Kelly also told Radio X in an interview that he's booked a studio in May/June to work on solo music, so we may see another solo album from him come before we see a Stereophonics one, so he's making the most of the bands break so it seems.

Hmm, it’s decent but I don’t like it quite as much as the first single.
Anyway, they’ve announced that their self-titled debut album will release on June 16th! Tracklisting: 1. Screaming Hallelujah 2. Faded Black Tattoo 3. Take It Through The Night 4. Let’s Turn This Back Around 5. Gonna Find Out What’s Killing Me 6. The Ride 7. We Won’t Get Out Alive 8. No Fool Like An Old Fool 9. Let The Light Shine Over You 10. Own It |

It’s been announced that they’re supporting Hozier on a couple of shows this summer!

'Screaming Hallelujah' is the next single from the album.
They've also confirmed they will be playing Latitude Festival this year. |

The album is brilliant, really really solid folk stuff. I think I prefer it over the last couple of Stereophonics albums!
Hopefully this isn’t the last we hear of Far From Saints. |

I bought it a couple of months ago and have to say I really enjoy it. Something a bit different for Kelly but he never disappoints.
