The official St. Burbia entry for the first contest of the year is...BISHOP - Wild Horses!
Very excited about entering this - it's probably my favourite of the three entries so far. Such an interesting mix and lovely vocals from BISHOP (not to be confused with BISHŘP ). |

First post updated.
32nd with 140 points - I had hoped for slightly better but then it was pretty much what most people predicted in the predictions thread, so I expected it. Special thanks to What for giving 18 points That was a lovely surprise! I pretty much liked all of the songs which finished top 10 as well, so great discoveries this month. Interestingly, some songs from Semi 2 which just missed out on my votes at that stage ended up overtaking others, which had received votes, for the final. There were some real growers in there. |

This was easily my favourite of your entries so far! Reminded me a bit of Marian Hill minus the sax. Should have done better ~

Hello there. This month St. Burbia is proud to announce our entry into BJSC 82 is...Jorja Smith - Blue Lights!
This is a lovely R&B song which was released a couple of weeks back by a newcomer from the West Midlands. I love the use of the surprising Dizzee Rascal sample as well. Please support! |

This month's official entry from St. Burbia for BJSC 83 is...Basenji - Can't Get Enough!
It just LOVE this - it's so feel-good and I can listen to it at anytime. It's very different to all my previous entries but I hope you enjoy it too! |

After last month's DNQ, all hopes are being pinned on Bearson ft. Cal - Want You to restore St. Burbia to the finals.

After the second worst performance for me last month, this month it's just about the best! Want You managed to get St. Burbia its best performance to date by matching previous high peak of #13 (which had been achieved by Fools Paradise in BJSC 80), however, it received a higher points total of 210 points compared to 201 for the latter. Want You is also the most successful semi-final performance to date, reaching #3 with 118 points!
Congratulations to FARC and their winning entry! Save It is a fantastic song and received 15 points from St. Burbia. It was narrowly beaten to 18 points by Syndare's entry called Drop (which finished not too far from the top 20). Thanks for much to everyone who voted, and as a little treat for you, it appears the music video has now been released! So enjoy... |
