This is v unexpected but I'm so excited!!! Level Up, Thinkin Bout You and Dose were all amazing 😍

Wasn't expecting something so soon, though I guess it is a couple of years since "Level Up" ohmy.gif

LOVED "Thinkin Bout You" in particular from the last era.

I found Beauty Marks such a disappointment after how good her self titled album and Jackie were.
A couple of great tracks but most of it was pretty forgettable!

Always excited for new material from her though, so looking forward to this.

Yeah even as a stan, the album was NOT it sad.gif the singles were good though!

Jackie and Ciara remain her best albums.

Agreed! Ciara and Jackie are both so good.
I still listen back to her others a lot too, such a great discography heart.gif

Meh it's ok sad.gif idk if it's a lead single or anything

Posted by: Cremey 14th August 2020, 01:41 PM

Yeah I'm not sure if it's a lead single, might be a standalone release?
Although the singles from Beauty Marks seemed to just be released at random and then all made the album so who knows haha.

I really like this, it's good to hear something different from her.
Love the video – the references to black lives matter, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor are really powerful.
And so impressive she can still dance like that when so heavily pregnant at the time. She's incredible.

Their last song I remember was Waterfall ft Pink and Sia in 2017 which I really liked at the time and still sounds great.

And I knew I recognized the name Ester Dean, she was the vocalist on one of the only future bass songs I actually liked, Another Life, by David Guetta and Afrojack.

This new Ciara song is good, although Ester Dean doesn't seem to be in it much. I like the backing voices in the chorus and the distorted violin effect later in the song.

Ester is most famous for singing the hook/chorus in Nicki Minaj's 'Superbass' (and as an actual name for herself, she's in the Pitch Perfect movies!)

Omg it's that same Bulgarian chant sample yet again. The same song being sampled by both Bring Me The Horizon and Ciara in the same year, what a world x

(This is kind of a bop btw (honestly nearly anything using that sample is a bop by default x), liking it a lot more than I expected)
