Won't be able to listen live as ever but rooting for 'boyfriend' to stay at #4 like in the latest mids! As for the retros - 15 years since 'Rendez-Vu' became Basement Jaxx's highest peaking single! I do love it (like most of their output) but it definitely doesn't feel like their most remembered hit.

I definitely think Coi should be promoted to chart mod by now.
15 years since Anastacia’s third and final top 10 hit. Such an underrated artist. |

Missed the top 40 this week?
Drake How Bout Now Album track from Care Package Released: 2nd August 2019 Label: OVO Video Biography Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, Drake has founded the OVO Sound record label with longtime collaborator 40. Drake gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a career in music, he left the series in 2007 after releasing his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement. He released two further independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009. Drake released his debut studio album Thank Me Later in 2010, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum. His next two releases, 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, were critically and commercially successful; the former earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. In 2015, he released two mixtapes—the trap-influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late and a collaboration with Future titled What a Time to Be Alive—both of which earned platinum certification in the U.S. His fourth album, Views (2016), broke several chart records. The dancehall-influenced album sat atop the Billboard 200 for 13 nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a male solo artist to do so in over 10 years. The album's second single, "One Dance", topped the charts in several countries, and became his first number-one single as a lead artist. That year, Drake led both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 charts simultaneously for eight weeks. Views achieved quadruple platinum status in the US, and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release. It became Drake's best-selling album to date. Its lead single "Hotline Bling" peaked at number two on the Hot 100 and received Grammy Awards for Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song. In 2017, he released the "playlist" More Life. It became his seventh consecutive number one on the Billboard 200, and set multiple streaming records. A year later, he released the double album Scorpion, which also broke several streaming records, and contains the Grammy Award winning number-one single "God's Plan", and the bounce-infused number ones "Nice for What" and "In My Feelings". Among the world's best-selling music artists, with over 150 million records sold worldwide, he is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as the world's highest-certified digital singles artist. Drake holds several Billboard chart records. He has the most charted songs (186) among solo artists in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week (27), the most time on the Hot 100 (431 weeks) and the most Hot 100 debuts in a week (22). He also has the most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts. Drake has also won four Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, twenty-seven Billboard Music Awards and three Juno Awards. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2009 42 Forever (feat. RAYE Love Me Again 1st single from debut studio album Released: 2nd August 2019 Label: Polydor Records Video Biography Croyden, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. By 2012, RAYE had enrolled in the prestigious BRIT school for music and singing, spending two years perfecting her craft, but she left in 2014 due to the limitations she was being taught and the desire to create her own rules. The following year, RAYE released her debut EP, Welcome to the Winter. The lead single, "Hotbox," was noticed by Olly Alexander (Years & Years) on Hype Machine; he got in touch with RAYE to discuss music, and arranged a meeting with the A&R department at Polydor. With major-label backing, RAYE kept busy in 2016, including co-writing her single "I, U, US" alongside Charli XCX, appearing as a guest vocalist on Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" single, and releasing the SECOND EP. She was back working with Charli XCX the following year, guesting on the singer's tracks "Girls" and "Dreamer." RAYE also delivered her own single, "The Line." The singles "Check" (with Kojo Funds) and "Cigarette" (with Mabel and Stefflon Don) were released in 2018. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2016 15 By Your Side (Jonas Blue feat. JAY1 Mocking It 4th single from One Wave Released: 20th June 2019 Label: GRM Records Chart Statistics NE (04/07/2019) | 19-27-28-31-34-35-40 Sales: 90k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 76 Sales 21 Audio Streaming 25 Video Streaming Video Biography Flying the flag for Coventry's rap scene with a self-assured swagger, JAY1 had a meteoric rise after single "Your Mrs" made its way to the 18th spot on the U.K. charts. Originally rapping as Young Jay, JAY1 started making music seriously after moving from North London to the historically student-based city of Coventry in 2016. Bold, self-assured vocals and candid lyrics gave the U.K. MC a fundamental versatility: despite often letting his lyrics speak for themselves on minimalist trap beats, he demonstrated his ability to adapt to everything from drill to dancehall. After delivering freestyles on two popular U.K. video series, Bl@ckbox and Hardest Out, JAY1 saw his first major success with "That's My Bae," which blew up through online video channels before inspiring its own freestyle challenge. A series of 2018 singles helped boost the rapper's fan base and expand his sound, leading to him trying his hand at summer dancehall on "Good Vibes" and blunt braggadocio on "Becky." It wasn't until "Your Mrs" that the Coventry MC found his breakout hit: After a snippet of its chorus received social media buzz, the song's music video hit a million views on streaming services just three days after its release. Building on this success, he quickly landed a spot on the remix of Russ and Tion Wayne's "Keisha & Becky," before appearing on Charlie Sloth's Fire in the Booth radio show in April 2019. His debut EP, One Wave, was released in July of the same year. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2019 18 Your Mrs -1- 2019 19 Mocking It -2- Social Media JAY1 |
