'Chromatica' is being praised for its lyrics and the ways in which Gaga has explored the themes throughout it through her clever play of words. So what are your favourite lyrics from the album? Share as many as you'd like to |

This is my dancefloor, I fought for
It really hit me when she said this during the Beats 1 interview before the album came out, and hearing it in the context of the album it was an instant favourite lyrical moment! It means a lot for her returning to her dance roots after cementing her place in the history books and fighting to get to where she is. So much power in these few words. |

My Biggest Enemy Is Me
It’s like a self sabotage song / message for herself about her past issues regarding substances... (I think) it stood out to me though because she wasn’t blaming others for her doings she was taking control and admitting that when she struggles she’s her own worst enemy. It’s a song I can relate too not for the topics discussed in the song but at times I think we’re all guilty of like being our own saboteur / worst enemy. |

Before there was love, there was silence. I heard one sine and it healed my heart,
This is such a gorgeous lyric. Before discovering music, there was no love. Once the music hits you however, your heart is healed. R E L A T A B L E x music has the power to save you. |

"This is my dancefloor, I fought for"
"Keep my dolls inside diamond boxes Save 'em 'til I know I'm gon' drop this Front I've built around my oasis Paradise is in my hands" "Every single day, yeah, I dig a grave Then I sit inside it, wondering if I'll behave It’s a game I play, and I hate to say You're the worst thing and the best thing that's happened to me" |

Sick and tired of waking up
Screaming at the top of my lungs Think I might've just left myself behind Maestro, play me your symphony I will listen to anything Take me on a trip, DJ, free my mind Finally got this ICONIC part of 'Alice' down to a tee when I sing along |

I know the odd bits here and there but I never really make an attempt to learn lyrics if they haven't come naturally to me. |

i listened to the album for the first time the other day and "this is my dancefloor i fought for" also stood out for me immediately, but it was the pulse anniversary so I kind of understood it in that context... the fact that dancefloors are one of the few spaces where queer joy can be expressed unbridled, and still how vulnerable they are and how necessary it is to protect them
