9. Name one of the Top 20 British films of all time according to the Empire poll of 2011 RIGHT 0 - Goldfinger (Iz) 0 - A Clockwork Orange (Jade) 0 - Shaun of the Dead (Jonjo) 0 - Lawrence of Arabia (HausofKubrick) 0 - Billy Elliott (Cameron) 1 - Trainspotting (J▲hq,SamJudd) 1 - The Third Man (Chez Wombat, Ethan) WRONG 19 - The Shawshank Redemption (Joe, not a British film) 19 - The Godfather 2 (Dobbo, not British) 19 - Casino Royale (HarryEzra - only made number 70) 19 - Harry Potter and the Philophesors stone (Regina, Spun - no, only Azkaban and DH2 made the list) 19 - No answer (Josh) 19 - The King’s Speech (Alex! - this only made number 79) 19 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Riser - this made number 77) 19 - ET (Ultraviolence1989) - Not a British film 19 - Educating Rita (Mack) - not in the top 100 So for about half of you this went really well... and for the other half... not so well |

10. Name a song by Lana Del Rey that is on a movie soundtrack 0- Big Eyes(HarryEzra) 0 - Magic Tree and I Let Myself Go from The Great Gatsby (SamJudd) 1- I Can Fly (Joe, Regina) 1- Gods and Monsters (Riser, Ethan) 4- Once Upon a Dream (Iz, Chez Wombat,Alex!,Ultraviolence1989,Cameron) 5- Young & Beautiful (Dobbo,Jade,Josh,J▲hq,Jonjo,HausofKubrick) WRONG 19 - No answer (Spun) 19 - Video Games (Mack) Her two biggest soundtrack songs being the biggest here, Once Upon A Dream from Maleficent and Young & Beautiful from the Great Gatsby! Both songs from Big Eyes are mentioned, with the title track being a pointless for Harry. Congrats to Sam for being able to get that without Google, I'm very impressed No one went for Life is Beautiful here! I decided to allow Gods and Monsters as it is used in Tropico, which has a soundtrack album on itunes so I'll let it slide (also meaning Bel Air and Body Electric could have been answers here) |

okay I feel like crap so I'm just gonna drop the bonus answers and then the scoreboard pretty quickly
*** BONUS 11. Name any song written by the Sherman Brothers that features in a movie. RIGHT 0 - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! (Josh) - Mary Poppins 0 - Feed the Birds (Mack) - Mary Poppins 0 - Nobody’s Problem (SamJudd) - Bedknobs and Broomsticks 0 - The Age of Not Believing (Cameron) - Bedknobs and Broomsticks 0 - Let’s Get Together (Alex!) - The Parent Trap WRONG 19 - You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Joe - this was written by Randy Newman) 19 - Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (Dobbo, wrong brothers - this was written by Jerry Wexler, Bert Burns and Solomon Burke - and appeared in the Blues Brothers) 19 - No answer (Iz, Spun,Riser,HausofKubrick) 19 - Anything I do (I Do It For You) by Bryan Adams (HarryEzra, nope written by Bryan himself) 19 - how the f*** is anyone supposed to know this without googling richie you c**t. (Regina, ha ha ha!!!) 19 - No idea - There She Goes? - LMAO (Jade) 19 - I’m a Believer (J▲hq) - nope, written by Neil Diamond. 19 - The Bare Necessities (Jonjo) - Although the Sherman Brothers wrote the other songs in the film, this one was written by Terry Gilkyson 19 - ??? (Ethan) 19 - Unchained Melody (Ultraviolence1989) - Written by Alex North So many Disney fans out there, but not many of you even knew who the Sherman Brothers are! They were very much the go to guys for songs at Disney in the 1960s and 70s and featured heavily in Saving Mr Banks. Again, while several Buzzjackers like the Disney classics, they don’t really know a lot about them! (commentary by richie) 12. Give a Shrek quote RIGHT 0 - "What are you doing in my swamp?" (Iz) 0 - “Shut up, Donkey” (HarryEzra) 0 - “I’m a Real Boy” (Mack) 0 - "I don't get it, i'm supposed to be beautiful" (Regina) 0 - “Can’t we settle this over a pint?” (Spun) 0 - “Can I stay with you? Can I stay with you…please?” (Alex!) 0 - “I’m a Believer” (Ultraviolence1989) - said during the song at the end of the film 0 - “Do the Roar” (Cameron) - this wasn’t the original Shrek film - does it count? 0- “It’s just a donkey” (Ethan) 0 - "That'll do Donkey. That'll do." (Jonjo) 0 - “THE MUFFIN MAN!?” (Joe) 1 - “And in the morning...I’m making waffles!” (Jade,SamJudd) 2 - "Get Out Ma Swamp!" (Dobbo,Josh,J▲hq) WRONG 19 - No answer (Riser,HausofKubrick) |

It's obvious some people here googled, which is a bit of a cheap thing but oh well. |

Lmao I messed up again, assumed the bonus questions were optional. I should've known that wouldn't work for scoring :')
Anyway that was a nice challenge! I'd be willing to try some more no-googling rounds. |

My answers don't seem to be included for the bonus questions or the Oscars question? I mean for two of those I got wrong lol but I hope my score is correct otherwise.
Very pleased with 4th nonetheless and my rare specialist knowledge (yes some people have that k)/educated guesses proved correct *.* thanks to Richie and lotti for hosting, I hope to see this format again and around the forum as it's a nice challenge |

I thought the question was for the 2014 Oscars in which case I was right Yeah has this been put right for the scoreboard Supporting in 2013, lead in 2014 Yay at the educated guess for Trainspotting. Seen the sequel in the news recently and thought the original was seen as a 'classic' / very much acclaimed. Thanks for hosting Lotti (and Richie), I enjoyed the round and would definitely be up for one of these again provided the level of difficulty wasn't any higher |

If I get time before I leave tomorrow I'll double check with both of those things! @ Chez I copy and pasted from the google docs, and I did the scoring a couple hours ago straight from that so if your name wasn't on the question it won't have been added into the scores, I'm assuming Richie has your PM so I can't do much more there for now I'm sorry!
@ jahq and Regina I'll take blame for that one as I wrote that question! (I have a feeling I got confused with this on another quiz somewhere!) I just went on Wikipedia and checked any names under the 2014 and 2015 section once again I'll double check those tomorrow if I have time and adjust as necessary! |

Also I'd like to attempt one of these so would love someone else to host one! Maybe we could have a no google round monthly?
