Here we are at the end of another series of Doctor Who, and not just any series as we saw a brand new era with Moffatt leaving (all is forgiven), Chibnall coming in, completely brand new characters, with none returning, a brand new TARDIS and a brand new team of guest writers as well as a brand new composer. This all resulted in the biggest change of tone of the series since the show returned in 2005. All these changes and the most talked about was the change in Doctor, something happening for the thirteenth time but, for the first time, the Doctor changed into the most horrible thing known to man.... a woman. Jodie Whittaker's Doctor brought along three new friends with Yaz (the first Muslim companion), Ryan (the first dyspraxic companion) and Graham (the oldest ever companion? unless you wanna count Wilf). Another big change was the lack of a Christmas Day special, the first time since 2004 (when the show wasn't on air!!) with a New Year's Day special introduced instead. This also saw the only returning monster of the series, the ultimate in Doctor Who villains - the Daleks. The lack of returning monsters meant we were introduced to Tim Shaw (a teeth collecting bounty hunter), the Morax (made of mud and lived in a tree), the Kerblam! robots (they don't even get a name), giant spiders, demons, a sentient universe (becoming the most controversial moment of the series) and the deadliest creature in the universe.... the PTING.
