Dreading this week, Halloween week will be one fun interesting performance and 10 that are hide behind your sofa for all the wrong reasons.

Brian already said on Xtra factor that they would be recreating Thriller dance for one of the acts, so there is one obvious song and performance to sit through.

Posted by: euro music Oct 27 2014, 03:17 PM

What's the betting - GHOSTBUSTERS again.

Love to see someone do a version of Monster Mash. Perhaps Stevi - it sure is his week.

Posted by: Liаm Oct 27 2014, 03:22 PM

Halloween week is always so pointless... They don't use "proper" Halloween songs most of the time, just stuff with monster, black, night, dark etc. in the title laugh.gif

There could be some amazing songs that tenuously fit under Halloween (Zombie by The Cranberries, Zombie by Natalia Kills and Black Cat by Janet Jackson for example) but they'll never be used, we'll get the usual Thriller, Ghostbusters, Stay (amazing song though and could be a huge moment for Lola or Lauren) etc.

Fleur to sing The Monster please!

Disturbia for Only The Young please.

Funny you should say that...

Absolutely devastated that they fell in the bottom 2 this week! sad.gif They did not deserve that at ALL! I think as much as I'm preferring Fleur as a performer/star, OTY are my favourites! <3

They have brilliant recording voices wub.gif

lovely way to speak of a co-mod...

think most people would prefer a bit of consistency with all the thread titles rather than see what you can do to make it look different and "cool" for a week. nobody ever seemed to have an issue with it when they were kept consistent for Big Brother earlier in the year, and nobody (until now) has had a problem posting threads and keeping in line with what the pattern appears to be.

babe, proving this even more important to you? strange...

Posted by: Conderella Oct 29 2014, 06:26 PM

Yes, there are no rules about naming threads but it would clearly look better if all threads were the same case. It's literally the only thread which title is written in lowercase. Name it however you like, put all the dots and spaces and symbols and shit you like in it srsly but you cannot possibly deny it just looks f***ing terrible like this compared to the rest of the reality forum.

Should've known you'd make such a huge fuss about it though :/

i don't like people anonymously altering titles of threads i create, i would never do it to anyone else, it's something i personally find disrespectful. i don't think it looks particularly awful either? what does this shit really matter. this whole site has some weird ocd obsession over formatting and quite frankly pretty much f*** all discussion. no wonder the site has diving south

and you're calling me out for making a huge fuss? you post nothing but pernickity snivelling and negativity-for-the-sake-of-negativity, so get pot calling the kettle black babe! (:/)

Posted by: Calum Hood Oct 29 2014, 07:04 PM

It makes it that bit more difficult to find a thread when you're looking back down the line and you know each of the threads had a basic structure that was kept to, but then there's that one thread title that just had to be the complete polar opposite of its siblings. I just don't understand why there's a continual and compulsive need to be so obstructive and neglect the formatting pattern that has emerged?

Almost all of the time, that can be classed as a sense of humour.

It does look quite out of place, it's one part of a series of threads and there's nothing wrong with consistency? Fair enough if you don't like people anonymously altering your thread titles, but equally, surely you can see why? It's no HUGE deal I guess but I don't see why there's any real need to break the trend anyway, it's not as if it gives the title any kind of personality (not that a title needs that anyway).

Posted by: ░░░░ Oct 29 2014, 07:21 PM

as it upsets everyone so much i have edited it to the standard. i just do not understand why it is a big deal to everyone? no other forum is like it on the internet.

also do people go back through the archives over time to the read the threads? it's all in real time and much of it only makes sense if you have the episode on at the exact moment as you start the thread?

Please do not overreact. 'upsets so much'. The only one upset is yourself. I just edited the title ONCE and after I saw you complain, I explained why I did that. In no universe that can be classified as 'big deal'.

This is my 2nd post and I'm already f***ing EXHAUSTED arguing with you.

P.S.: Have your title back.

Queen. As much as i love her, she's really not a very good mentor is she? Some of the song choices for the Boys have been a bit..... strange.

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 07:53 PM

She is a horrific mentor but I don't care about of the boys (same went for her in Aussie XF in 2012, although she ruined my fave in 2011 but I always mention this so we shan't go there) much so it's fine laugh.gif

This show could be a total mess, or surprisingly good. Listening to the clips on itunes, at least most contestants are changing it up a bit!

06.0 Ben Haenow

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 08:13 PM

Ben's voice goes right through me. He's always so predictable too, every week you just know exactly how he'll sing it and every week the songs are pretty predictable... Except maybe Jealous Guy. This was better than the snooze fest last week but not amazing. He just sounds like he needs a cough, rock isn't my thing though tongue.gif He seems like a right cock as well.

01 Ben Haenow - Highway To Hell 4/10

I think I actually liked that?

I don't mind his voice that much.

Posted by: randomfurlong Nov 1 2014, 08:13 PM

I can see that he's a technically good and energetic performer but I just don't want to listen to his voice, ever.

Posted by: April Nov 1 2014, 08:13 PM

Does it come across different in the studio or something? That was not anywhere near as amazing as they were trying to make it!

Posted by: ROBOT Nov 1 2014, 08:19 PM

Am I hearing something different? The slower bits were great but as soon as it got upbeat, she went terribly out of tune.

Didn't enjoy Ben either, but I never will when his voice sounds like that. It's stopped sounding naturally gravelly though and more like he's wretching whilst singing.

6/10 Lola Saunders
4/10 Ben Haenow

Posted by: Envoirment Nov 1 2014, 08:20 PM

Good song choice for Lola but she was quite a bit pitchy at times (Although I think her earpiece or something fell out?). Missed Ben's performance so will try to catch up with that soon. 7/10.

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 08:20 PM

That was much better than the past couple of weeks! She seemed more confident and gave it her all, rather than just kind of standing and singing nicely as she has done a couple of times now... I like how it started with a focus on her voice for a bit and them moved onto being something a bit out of her comfort zone! Very very impressed.

Fantastic performance from Fleur. biggrin.gif Her vocal was better than Lola's despite the choreography.

Posted by: ROBOT Nov 1 2014, 08:32 PM

Not very impressed. It's all nice and everything that she can throw in a Thriller routine, it was a fantastic performance - vocals wise, weak and as Mel said, they were definitely compromised for the performance...

The vocals were a little off (that's the -0.5), but tbf guest performers always do that when they have huge dance routines like that. As a performer, she is untouchable and this is The X Factor not The Voice! She has everything. Still raging she didn't do Black Cat by Janet Jackson though.

Even worst than his past few :/ It was absolutely painful when he started shouting and straining in the "people waiting for the day they feel good" bit! How come he was so restrained on Adele and Paloma songs and yet on a simple song like this he shouts it? Horrific. He has to be THE most overrated contestant they've ever had, I just can't. You can either barely hear him or he's shouting randomly.

And yes it's great and brave he was in the Marines, but NOBODY CARES. You are still shit.

Very very good vocals, but he seems to be missing something?
Maybe that is because I am comparing it to Alexandra's ikonec performance,
Talking of Alexandra, his run so far has reminded me of Alexandra, with all the big songs by big diva's

Posted by: ROBOT Nov 1 2014, 09:02 PM

WOW. The outfit hahaha! I don't think the song choice was really the best pick but he actually delivered it and matched it to his abilities better than I expected he would, all in all, nowhere near his best but still pretty good.

I actually ache laughing at his styling!!! He looked quite uncomfortable imo, but vocally it was pretty good. It kind of suited him, but it could have been a better song choice. It was just great to hear him sing an uptempo song.

Lola 8/10

probably because the song is shit

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 09:06 PM

Lauren wasn't that great. Her dancing was rather lame, although her heels were huge! They should have been smaller imo. Her vocals were decent, except the ending wasn't plesant. 6.5/10

Fleur - 8/10

She's too nice for that. Her vocals aren't punchy enough for a song like that which requires quite an edge to your voice - having said that, I am glad to see her doing something that carves her into more of an actual pop artist. Don't know why she was crying about bopping from side to side though, hardly that difficult. 7/10

7.5/10 Jay James
7.5/10 Andrea Faustini

I don't GENERALLY get their hype, but that was the first performance I've enjoyed all night! Really loved it. They ALSO delivered on a vocal front, not just performance-wise, which made it so much better than Fleur's which really sacrificed the vocals. 9/10

The girls need less solos, they're iffy at best.... But I love this fun vibe from them, so it was WAY better than last week - especially the torturous sing-off laugh.gif It was on theme, fun and (mostly) vocally on point in a way their previous performances haven't been.

Completely agree! As brilliant a song as it is, Thriller isn't a song with a huge vocal anyway so Fleur's voice was fine for it. She sang it perfectly in my opinion and put on such a show.

Nice for him to get to sing a song he wanted to sing, but it was quite bad

Posted by: ROBOT Nov 1 2014, 09:45 PM

9/10 Only The Young
8/10 Stereo Kicks
8/10 Stevi Ritchie
7.5/10 Jay James
7.5/10 Andrea Faustini
7/10 Lauren Platt
7/10 Paul Akister
6.5/10 Fleur East
6/10 Jack Walton
6/10 Lola Saunders
4/10 Ben Haenow

Is it wrong that I loved that? That was his first kinda not novelty performance, yet that was the performance of his that's put a smile on my face more than anything! G'WON STEVI, actually rooting for him tonight.

Posted by: Envoirment Nov 1 2014, 09:45 PM

As much as people take the piss out of him, he's actually quite a decent singer (better than quite a lot of those in the competition). When he hit the high note as well, I was surprised! Really enjoyed that performance. 8/10

Paul - 9.5/10
Fleur - 8/10
OTY - 8/10
Stevi - 8/10
Stereo Kicks - 7.5/10
Andrea - 7.5/10
Jay - 7/10
Lauren - 6.5/10
Lola - 6.5/10
Jack - 4/10

Posted by: April Nov 1 2014, 09:45 PM

Tbf that's Stevi's best performance to date.

01. Fleur East 9/10
02. Only The Young 8.5/10
03. Lauren Platt 8.5/10
04. Paul Akister 7.5/10
05. Lola Saunders 6.5/10
06. Andrea Faustini 6/10
07. Ben Haenow 5/10
08. Jay James 4.5/10
09. Stevi Ritchie 4/10
10. Jack Walton 3.5/10
11. Stereo Kicks 3/10

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 09:45 PM

Looool genuinely his vocal was WAY better than Jay's! I mean he isn't like Freddie Mercury or anything but idk I don't hate him as much as I should for a novelty act. He actually has a good-ish voice I think, and at least he's fun and not horrifically overrated like the other male overs!

01 Lauren Platt - Dark Horse 10/10
02 Fleur East - Thriller 9.5/10
03 Paul Akister - Bat Out Of Hell 8.5/10
04 Lola Saunders - Crazy 8.5/10
05 Only The Young - Monster Mash 8/10
06 Stevi Richie - Music Of The Night 8/10
07 Andrea Faustini - Relight My Fire 8/10
08 Stereo Kicks - Everybody 6/10
09 Ben Haenow - Highway To Hell 4/10
10 Jack Walton - Bleeding Love 4/10
11 Jay James - Mad World 0.5/10

Really poor show tonight in my view. Stereo Kicks and Stevi were the only acts better than last week

My votes are:
Lauren 3x (she might not have been amazing tonight but she was the best still)
Lola 1x (she better survive)
Fleur 1x (that choreography and dance wub.gif)

I'm not voting for stereo kicks because they will surely survive whatever

And sorry Joseph but I think your favourite is gonna go tonight

3x Lauren
2x Lola (out of her and Jack who are surely in danger, I much prefer her and would rather she stayed)

Phone votes:
3x Fleur
2x Paul

I think its between Jack and Lola to leave the show tonight, and I probably chuck Jay James in the bottom 3.

Done 20 votes for Jack across 4 devices, he needs them tonight!

Posted by: Envoirment Nov 1 2014, 09:51 PM

I think Lola is going to go out on the flash vote and then Jay and Jack in the bottom 2.

Posted by: J▼hnkm Nov 1 2014, 09:51 PM

Jack, Jay, Lola, Stevi could all be in trouble tonight/tomorrow

Posted by: Liаm Nov 1 2014, 09:51 PM

Ideally, Jay would go straight away with Jack and Ben in the sing off but as if that would happen! Realistically, I'll settle for Jack going straight away and then Jay in the bottom 2.

Posted by: n4yr Nov 1 2014, 09:52 PM

I think Lola will be out tonight. Easily the most forgettable performance tonight.

Posted by: -Jay- Nov 1 2014, 09:54 PM

I feel like Jack and Lola are in serious danger.

Call me crazy but Stevi was rather good!! He actually deserves to stay this week.

Yeah I think they must have been the actual bottom 2!

I'm pretty sure Lola and Paul will be bottom 2 tomorrow. And she'll be a goner either way, if it goes to deadlock she'll go but as much as I love her Paul will sing rings around her as it's likely she'll be crippled by nerves again.

I imagine it will be deadlock though, Simon will certainly save her (unless she really mucks up the sing-off) as will Cheryl whereas I think Louis and Mel will unite over Paul.

Catching up, writing comments as I watch:

7.5/10 Ben Haenow - Highway To Hell

much better than last week, the song really suited him. More of that kinda vocal please just to make him stand out more, we don't get many good rock singers.

8.0/10 Lola Saunders - Crazy

it was nice, but her problem is she doesn't have the vocals of Lauren or the performance skills of Fleur. Better than last week anyhow and the start particularly was great. Hope she continues to stay in the comp but she's not the best of her category.

8.0/10 Fleur East - Thriller

I liked her dancing and stage presence but the vocals weren't that great. Last week was better.

6.0/10 Jack Walton - Bleeding Love

Meh, too safe and inoffensive for me

4.0/10 Jay James - Mad World

his vocal in the uptempo part of it was awful mellow.gif he was bearable in the first half though. Not liking how they're calling it "different" and "risky" just because they upped the tempo half way through especially when it didn't work.

7.0/10 Andreas Faustini - Relight My Fire

Quite good but a bit karaoke.

8.5/10 Lauren Platt - Dark Horse

Brilliant performance. She could still work on the performing side but her stage presence is improving. Her vocals are stunning too.

7.0/10 Paul Akister - Bat Out Of Hell

This is a bit standard, not as good as last week for me but wouldn't mind him staying a bit longer

8.0/10 Only the Young - Monster Mash

Nice reworking of the song and far better than last weeks performance. I always knew they had potential, glad that they're proving themselves tonight

5.0/10 Stereo Kicks - Everybody

Average boyband performance.

4.0/10 Stevi Richie - Music of the Night

Awful

63 Stereo Kicks
73 Ben
101 Lauren
121 Paul
169 Jack
218 Andrea
233 Stevi
285 Fleur
343 Lola

Looking at that and the Facebook likes, it seems pretty certain Lola and one of the remaining boys will be bottom. I'm sure it was week 4 last year that Tamera fell into the bottom 2 and week 4 in 2011 that Misha fell into the bottom 2 so maybe there's a week 4 bottom 2 shock curse as well as the week 5 shock curse kink.gif Andrea and Lola are bottom of both likes and itunes so I'd say they're most I'm danger, but Andrea has better past form than Paul so we'll see.

CANNOT at Jack leaving. Done with this show, Strictly I'm coming for you next week. Ugh, he had so much potential to be a STAR though (still is in my eyes). Just hope he can keep going and give us another killer track like 'The Way Out' wub.gif

08.0 Ben Haenow · Keep loving him more and more after each of his performances wub.gif Amazing song choice for him, his voice wasn't the best in that but it was still enjoyable on the whole. He's so bloody gorgeous as well.
04.0 Lola Saunders · Oh dear, I like her but that performance was absolutely horrendous. Awful song choice, she seemed shaky for most of it (the beginning was okay), but not impressed. Wouldn't be surprised if she's in danger tomorrow, which is a shame as vocally she really is capable of so much more.
03.0 Fleur East · That was just as bad as Lola, if not worse. Really don't see anything that worked with that performance at all? The staging was all good, but it was all a bit awkward for me. She wasn't even singing that much and when she was it all just seemed really flat and bland? Could have been amazing, but amazing it was NOT.
10.0 Jack Walton · I feel much more emotional watching this knowing that he's gone than I would have was he still in? But oh well. Performance of the night, there's just something so enchanting about his voice, love love love. Such a shame this was his last performance though, definitely deserved more.
00.0 Jay James · Wow, this has to be the most predictable song choice of his so far? Suits him to the core though, dull, depressing and absolutely horrific (perfectly matched to the theme too). Awful performance, really hope (and don't see him doing so) he doesn't last much longer here.
00.0 Andrea Faustini · I really can't focus on much else about this performance other than what the FUCK is he wearing?! What an utter mess. Go home.
04.0 Lauren Platt · Well at least she didn't turn it into a ballad this week... Still, it was a really poor performance. Weak vocals on the whole. Way to ruin a song, Lauren. Think the only thing that saves this for me really is that I love the song too much to criticise it too heavily.
07.0 Paul Akister · Things are bad when Paul's one of my favourites of the night... Probably helps that 'Bat Out of Hell' is such a guilty pleasure of mine. Good performance on the whole, still not amazing and he never will be, but ah well.
09.5 Only the Young · AMAZING performance, loving them so much, and with Jack gone they're probably the only thing tempting me to keep watching the show. Can see them being very successful if they keep progressing as they are on the show, all their performances are consistently fabulous and they all have good voices and work so well together. wub.gif
06.0 Stereo Kicks · I think it's safe to say I'm over this lot now. Not a good performance at all, and I just don't see this whole charade lasting much longer. The song choice was good for them, but I'm just not believing in them any more and couldn't care that much for them at all.
00.0 Stevi Ritchie · No.

Absolutely AWFUL show on the whole. Such a chore to watch and I really cba when I'm still trying to get over Doctor Who.

Posted by: Jester Nov 1 2014, 11:25 PM

Jack is pretty and fit, but let's face it he has been a bit crap the past two weeks. Rather like Sam Callahan was last year.

Always sad to lose the best eye candy though!

Posted by: Ryan. Nov 1 2014, 11:42 PM

Jack was actually in my top 4 favourites, but his performance wasn't good at all tonight and probably the weakest out of everyone - purely down to the song choice so it's not really Jack's fault at all.

Only The Young were way ahead of everyone tonight, you could tell that they were very familiar with the song as they were in another class tonight and their massive increase in support on Facebook and iTunes shows that to be the case. Fleur was once again great too and was my second favourite of the night, while her vocals did slightly struggle in the verses, the overall performance was fantastic and any slight vocal issues didn't matter at all in the context of the whole performance.

I predicted Jack would be out tonight and I was right, I would guess at Lola going tomorrow night but I can't decide who else will be in the bottom 2 with Lola. I'd hope tonight's performance would save Only The Young (although their vote bounce from being in last week's bottom 2 may have been "used up" tonight), but if they do survive then maybe Paul or Stereo Kicks could slip into the bottom 2.

I think people like Andrea when he sings the power ballads, otherwise they're not fussed on him and he blends in to the show. That's the impression I am getting. Plus mums and grannies love a ballad over big productions with less challenging vocals.

I'm getting slightly concerned with Jay. Asked a few ppl tonight (all girls as well) who was their fav and they all said Jay :\ told my Mum to get on the Stevi bandwagon instead.

I'm thinking (not seen the show yet, but going by the "likes" and things) Andrea won't be in the bottom 2 this week, but instead he'll be the week 5 "shock" evictee next week.

I honestly believe 'Only The Young' are the only acts who could be successful following the x-Factor.

My comments on my favourite & least favourite acts of the night:

I'm kind of surprised at some of the negative reactions to Fleur tonight (elsewhere as well as on here). I thought she really brought it in terms of performance, effortlessly paid homage to MJ. Her vocal was pretty much as good as she has been for the last few weeks, and certainly quite strong considering all the choreography she was doing? Most popstars would be miming if they were dong choreography like that. Who else in this competition is performing to her standard? Lauren appeared to throw a wobbly over having to do *one* dance move! I just feel like we have a potential popstar on our hands in Fleur and I feel a bit sad that she seems to have a lot of detractors. It makes me fear that she could go far sooner than she should (i.e. before the final). I guess we all have different tastes and expectations, but personally I don't see how she could have been any better than she was tonight. I *pray* she makes it to the finals. ohmy.gif

As much as I generally like Jack, he was pretty awful tonight. He sounded really whiny and the performance was just flat/dull - he did absolutely no justice to 'Bleeding Love' at all. He can usually sing so much better than that. I knew while he was performing that he was putting himself in danger to leave, and it was no real surprise when he did get eliminated. Like I said, I know we all have different tastes, but beyond the fact that Jack is eye candy he really wasn't up to scratch tonight. sad.gif I know people would probably argue against this, but I personally feel that some of the people who find him attractive are kind of blinded and are letting that compensate for how he actually sounds/performs. If people genuinely thought he sounded great / performed amazingly regardless of how he looks then that's fair enough. For me he wasn't anywhere near as good tonight as he was in Week 1. Put his vocals from tonight into Andrea or Paul - would people have raved about them if they did a performance exactly like Jack's Bleeding Love? I doubt it!

I have to agree pretty much with all of this. As regarding Fleur, she has potential to be an all rounder, maybe she was a bit wobbly in places, even Cheryl can't sing and dance at the same time wink.gif

I can't see any situation where he'd go though! The only way I think he'd go is if he got the least votes on a week where it was a double elimination because obviously the judges couldn't save him. Which I guess for the week 5 "shock" is kind of possible, The Risk were like 3rd in the bookies odds and Maria Lawson was favourite to win when they were eliminated! Although Maria was actually in the bottom 2 so maybe that could happen to Andrea laugh.gif I do like him to a certain extent but I love a shock elimination if it isn't one of my favourites, I'd sacrifice him to have that shock.

Oh if only, then Jay would go <3 I'm almost 99% sure Lola will go, I think the only way she would stay is if someone did a really bad sing-off. I think only Only The Young or maybe Stereo Kicks would fall apart like that. Stevi would most probably stay over her, not that he'll be bottom 2 anyway after last night.

Yeah, I know loads of people who like him and talking about him like he's a shoo-in to win. I just don't see it at all? I mean he can hold a tune (which sadly can't be taken for granted with the quality of some of the contestants this year), but he's just so bland and unremarkable. He reminds me of Kye from a few years ago.

In spite of myself, I thought Only The Young were the best last night, a pretty drastic bounceback from the one of the worst performances in X Factor history on the sing-off last week.

The overs category is so strong this year, it feels like the best category whereas it's usually a retirement home for joke acts and other filler. Would be fantastic to see Fleur win, and unlike Sam Bailey (as much as I dearly love her) there'd be more mileage in her career than a mother's day album of rushed covers. Realistically though, I can see her coming 4th/5th.

But that wasn't even a heavy dance routine, she was mostly just walking around the stage pulling Nuhdeen faces at the camera. The reason people try and get Cheryl a free pass for her miming is because of her dance routines. Compare Fight For This Love on The X Factor or Call My Name on The Voice and there is such a difference in the performance. Don't get me wrong I like the song but it was very under whelming.

Posted by: AdamAloud Nov 2 2014, 08:35 PM

Posted by: Calum Hood Nov 2 2014, 08:36 PM

She doesn't choose not to sing because she includes heavy dance routines, she chooses not to sing because she knows she can't.

Posted by: J▼hnkm Nov 2 2014, 08:36 PM

Lol at the talk of compromising her vocals. She would be incredibly lucky to string TWO WORDS together in tune. She's literally a worse singer than GERI HALLIWELL and without any of the charm/desperation she brought to the table.

Posted by: Cameron Nov 2 2014, 08:52 PM

Oh the rap is a cringe

Posted by: ▬Mart!n▬ Nov 2 2014, 08:52 PM

Awful.

Posted by: Martyn Nov 2 2014, 08:52 PM

If Stereo Kicks survive again then they are gonna get forced on us like Union J were.

Posted by: Envoirment Nov 2 2014, 08:52 PM

Stereo Kicks were off at first but came together and was quite good too.

Posted by: ScoobyDoo Nov 2 2014, 08:54 PM

THIS IS WHY I HATE MEL.

Posted by: Martyn Nov 2 2014, 08:54 PM

The crowd thought Simon was gonna send home Lola.

Why did mel save the band sick2.gif

I loved Lola

Posted by: Jason Nov 2 2014, 08:55 PM

Bye bye Lola! dance.gif

Posted by: Liаm Nov 2 2014, 08:56 PM

What's the point of a sing off when a shockingly horrific performance like that gets you through?!

f***ing Mel B. Lola was a bit dull and just "there" at times, but Stereo Kicks are clearly not very well liked and that's probably just going to get worse as they force them on us in weeks to come. Just because 1D did so well, doesn't mean they will too...

Disco fever?!?! Um, what about the boyband and girlband week? sad.gif I hate disco week, who on earth is going to record a disco song after the competition?

Posted by: Jason Nov 2 2014, 08:57 PM

So, Stevi is the only Wild Card left. w00t.gif yahoo.gif cheer.gif

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 Nov 2 2014, 08:58 PM

Seriously at those guests sick2.gif
They had 2 amazing potentials and instead we have a bad boyband and another act we have literally seen every single week as a guest who doesn't have a song out for a month

Posted by: Martyn Nov 2 2014, 08:58 PM

So much for Boyband V Girlband next week. So we have Disco week, which has seen Abo perform a piano ballad in the past.

Posted by: ▬Mart!n▬ Nov 2 2014, 08:58 PM

Disco week next week

ONLY THE YOUNG - DISCO LOVE.

Posted by: gooddelta Nov 2 2014, 08:59 PM

I get the feeling Simon may have been told that Lola was bottom of the vote so saved her after Mel plumped for Stereo Kicks to try and make us believe that he's not seeing $ signs in his eyes every time he looks at them. Had Mel sent home Stereo Kicks, he'd have gone for Lola I'm sure.

Posted by: ► ▲ N Nov 2 2014, 08:59 PM

One Direction and Sam Smith on next week. Sam Smith's got a great voice so his performance should be good. Not looking forward to 1D though

Posted by: J▼hnkm Nov 2 2014, 08:59 PM

Lola really deserved to go, not based on the sing off, but the last few weeks

Posted by: Cameron Nov 2 2014, 08:59 PM

NOT Sam I am everywhere Smith and One Direction... How many times have they been mentioned / had Louis on the show?

And Disco Week coffee.gif

Posted by: J▼hnkm Nov 2 2014, 08:59 PM

Also, shame I miss 1D next week (seeing Kylie)

Posted by: Jack Nov 2 2014, 09:00 PM

Very predictable result, Lola does have an amazing voice but so hard to get excited by her. I thought she had a bit more potential than Stereo Kicks though, Mel was annoying with her comment tbh.

Also so boring to see comments about Cheryl miming or whatever, people are such begs for likes/retweets moaning about her on social media sites tbh.

I wonder how many people will claim it's a scandal and they were deceived that One Direction aren't live in the studio next sunday and the pre-recorded it this weekend.

Posted by: Cameron Nov 2 2014, 09:03 PM

So I done some snooping on Stereo Kicks and found this...

Oh God, I can totally imagining him doing "Stayin' Alive". laugh.gif Also Stevie doing "I Will Suvive".

Should be interesting. Hope they have some inspired choices for disco week. Hope there's a Donna Summer song or two and maybe an MJ one too.

Love to see Fleur doing Chaka Khan's hit I Feel For You, she could really nail that but I feel its more dance.

Posted by: Liаm Nov 2 2014, 09:51 PM

Apparently Queen & Adam Lambert, Olly Murs, Sam Bailey, Take That, Ella Henderson and Rihanna are performing in the coming weeks.

Posted by: Toby Nov 2 2014, 09:54 PM

How can Queen perform? Freddie Mercury is kind of dead.

Hence "Queen & Adam Lambert". tongue.gif Queen have still been going since Freddie died. The rest of the band recently teamed up with Adam Lambert for a tour.

Nicole Scherzinger is confirmed to be performing in November, I'm guessing it will be the 23rd to promote 'Run'.

I would welcome a girls aloud vs spice girls week. The show needs new themes and they have plenty to choose from.

Posted by: Mango Nov 3 2014, 11:30 AM

What, so they've changed next weekend's theme from Disco Week to MJ vs Queen?? Or is MJ vs Queen just a theme for a future weekend?

Oh, and that Charlie Jones song is BEYOND AWFUL.

Posted by: euro music Nov 3 2014, 11:47 AM

I'm disgusted at Mel B sending Lola home yet keeping shite like Stereo Kicks in.
These lot are the worst boyband they have ever had on the show.

Twice in bottom 2 - clearly many people don't like them - Me for one.

Disco Week next week - I'm not going to bother watching next Saturday - I hate disco. Always the same old rubbish.
They'd do better having Dance/RnB or Rock week.

No wonder the show is losing viewers
Look at One Direction and Ella Henderson who never made the final but look at them now. One Direction conquered the US and Ella is doing great with plenty of Top 10s in Europe - getting to #3 in Australia & #6 in New Zealand.
Cher Lloyd is doing reasonably well in US.

What have the winners done anyway outside UK & Ireland (apart from Little Mix & Leona) nothing.
Most have done nothing in the UK either apart from winners singles.
