Jesus christ. She deserves 8 years, not 8 months.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-...-herts-46345059 Nadine has been jailed for 8 months for careless driving which resulted in a death of a woman. I feel like 8 months isn't enough for a stupid act which has caused the death of someone. I just commented about how they trashed up their image and now this. With that said, the management had to have known this could happen. I really don't think they can survive to take almost a year break to wait for her to get out so... new member or split? |

What's the bet they're making frantic calls now to the Mini Viva girl to sub back in?? Change up her hair colour again and who would know :')
On a serious note tho, that poor woman. Even for manslaughter 8 months seems short. |

To be fair - it wasn't as if she was intoxicated and doesn't really sound like she was on her cellphone from the article; it really does sound like an accident caused by inattentive driving. It's one of those things where it's just a tragic situation for all involved. I don't doubt her remorse. |

Yeah, she didn't even drive off or anything - she was on the phone to the police straight away and has written to the family etc. I really do think her remorse is genuine and I think people are too quick to blindly call her evil etc. without reading into it further, it was a horrible accident - but exactly that, an accident and a very unfortunate one.

Well, this would get into a deeper discussion about crime and punishment and what should be applied, arrr Nothing will bring that poor woman back, but it doesn't change that this woman from M.O was inattentive when driving her car. So what punishment should keep people from not doing what the M.O woman did? What punishment would the relatives of the woman want her to get? And what punishment does this M.O woman deserve? |

We have all been a bit careless or too content to believe that anything could go wrong at one point or another, I think the guilt, terror and fear Nadine is experience is punishment enough with the 8 months prison.

Just read the mini statement the girls tweeted - there is really no coming back from this tbh, they are not big enough to sustain such a long break. Tragic all round.

Well that's awkward (and very sad) news just as I was getting into this.
Really though, what's the use speculating what did and didn't happen. None of us were there. She will do her time for the unfortunate crime and get on with her life. 8 months isn't so long and M.O can recover from that. Hell, it feels like it was 8 months between "Bad Vibe" and "Wondering". And whether 8 months is long enough is something we'll never know but from what Jack's said above she's shown deep remorse for it. |
