No idea what the TBC on the A-list is. Any big new releases coming out in the next couple of days that I've missed?

They seem to have given up on 'Done For Me' quite quickly, 3 weeks on the A-list and then out!

Good to see an insta-add for Jess Glynne.

I've said in the iTunes thread that it could be a buzz track for Arctic Monkeys that may not necessarily be released until next Friday with the album, but it's just wishful thinking really.

The only other plausible addition is maybe Florence?

HUGE love for Liam Payne and CHVRCHES this week though

Yeah I just saw the discussion in the iTunes thread. I'd love the TBC to be Arctic Monkeys but I can't see them playlisting something that's not an official single. It could be Florence, but it's out already so why would it still be a TBC? Plus I know R1 love her but I doubt she's quite big enough these days to qualify for an insta-add to the A-list.

Florence simply isn't insta-add to A List material.

I suppose it could be Arctic Monkeys seeing as there is huge amount of hype surrounding their comeback. Is anyone else due a big comeback single? Justin Bieber? Rihanna?

Interesting to see 'Blue Lights' pushed again... it's a great song but does also suggest there is nothing as strong on her upcoming album.

maybe it's tracks from the new AM album which we'll get mid week, they did it with tracks from Beyonce's Lemonade but that was post-release I think

Really wasn’t expecting an insta-add in the a-List for Florence. Anyway, good adds for Jorja Smith and Luis Fonsi. A bit annoying that Sigrid, Kendrick and Nicki have all stalled on the C-List. Was expecting them all to move up. Definitely can’t see Kendrick moving up now. Not very happy that Ed has moved up over them either - He’s has enough exposure this last year.
Finally, a bit of a shame to only have 5 additions this week. They could have added Kygo, John Newman, Shawn Mendes or Yodel Boy

She obviously is. Her last album debuted at #1 with 66,785 - more than Foo Fighters's most recent album which had an instant A List add with "Run". Just because it's unlikely to trouble the top 40?!

Florence is so an Insta-add playlist artist imo! One of the biggest female solo artists in the uk over the past decade for me - and she's appealing to both young and old - radio 1 and 2 artist!

I have a feeling this might be the last era that Radio 1 support though. She is 31 now and I know Radio 1 say they don’t have an age cutoff but I think it’s probably around there

Think it depends how the era performs. The fact they are still prepared to instantly add her to the A list would suggest to me that her next era will at least get some kind of support!

Florence is an example of indie artist Radio 1 championed from the very start and blew up to be an international megastar. They have always loved her, plus she’s headlining the Big Weekend (and has headlined Glastonbury)

Well personally I don't think Foo Fighters are insta-A List add material either. R1 clearly love Florence and she's a good album seller but if it were me in charge I'd have put it on the C List on week one.
