Busted - On What You're On to be successful please!
Very funky and COMPLETELY different to what they've ever done!
Expecting The Chainsmokers, Niall Horan and The Weeknd to go in reasonably high initially.
Lol didn't even bother to check if Niall had released yet.
It's a bit dull isn't it? Hope it doesn't stick around too long.
Niall going for the Ronan Keating market.
Some good additions to the 59p club this week - Years & Years, Zara Larsson, Craig David etc.,
And most importantly, Margaret's Cool Me Down is 59p and advertised on the home page in that section! (Not sure if this is a new thing or not but we'll roll with it)
1283. Margaret - Cool Me Down
Love the Busted track - reminds me of something Maroon 5 or Onerepublic would kind of do.
Margaret to do something please!
Also is G.R.L not out?
02. Niall Horan - This Town
70. Chainsmokers feat. Phoebe Ryan - All We Know
133. Busted - On What You're On
Great start for Busted!
69. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
78. Busted - On What You're On
350. Simple Minds - Promised You a Miracle (feat. KT Tunstall)
1440. Vanessa White - Low Key (feat. Illa J)
1441. The Weeknd - False Alarm
1442. Nathan Sykes - Famous
Already in the top 100!
G'won Busted. They're "officially premiering" it on Scott Mills's show tomorrow!
Huge The Chainsmokers fan but 'All We Know' is just a poor mans 'Closer' - Not sure what the excitement about it is but kudos to them for coming for that 3rd smash in what seems like a few weeks.
Niall Horan has probaly no chance of number 1 or even top 10 as the sales from Thursday will take away from this weeks sales, unless streaming works well for him he will most likely be lucky to go top 30. Huge and silly mistake releasing on Thursday.
It will be interesting to see how Busted chart next week, Nathan Skyes looks like he could flop hard with the new single.
66. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
71. Busted - On What You're On
349. Simple Minds - Promised You a Miracle (feat. KT Tunstall)
724. The Weeknd - False Alarm
940. Cashmere Cat - Trust Nobody (feat. Selena Gomez & Tory Lanez)
1282. Nathan Sykes - Famous
1368. Robbie Williams - Party Like a Russian
The new Robbie track is odd, I'm not sure what to make of it yet.
The new busted track is very different for them.
The new G.R.L. song is good but it doesn't seem to be about yet.
The new Major Lazer is dope af, I love it.
The new Galantis is very Sigala - ABC, it's not my fave atm but it could be a grower.
Tom Odell - True Colours???? As in the Cyndi Lauper song?? But he just released a new single the other week (Here I Am)... confusing
EDIT: found it, a cover indeed
https://streamable.com/e/d2yf
it's also charting already...

37. Galantis // Love On Me
52. The Weeknd // False Alarm
68. Nathan Sykes // Famous
111. Tom Odell // True Colours
am i being stupid in asking why all songs don't just go to 59p?
esp if they give boosts etc
60 Kings of Leon Around the World
guess it's another Grat?
sounds too much like a Ronan Keating comeback single :/
157. Empire Cast, Mariah Carey & Jussie Smollett - Infamous
YES!
Loving all the new music this week
My thoughts:
DNCE - Body Moves: sounds better than Toothbrush already.
Busted - On What You're On: sounds nothing like I expected but very funky, quite a bop! AND, was that a saxophone solo I heard in the middle?!
Niall Horan - This Town: nice enough but a bit boring.
The Chainsmokers - All We Know: agree with others' comments that this is a poor man's Closer.
The Weeknd - False Alarm: really like this!
Robbie Williams - Party Like A Russian: not quite sure what to make of this yet. It's very different!
Major Lazer - Believer: quite catchy, I think this could easily become another hit for them with radio support.
Galantis - Love On Me: also very catchy, should easliy give them another hit.
David Guetta - Would I Lie To You: what exactly is the point of this remix?
Long live New Music Fridays!
Chainsmokers 18
Busted 19
Surprised All We Know hasn't climbed much further tbh. About to be overtaken by the latter of all people *.*
17. The Chainsmokers // All We Know (feat Phoebe Ryan)
18. Busted // On What You're On
33. Galantis // Love On Me
37. Robbie Williams // Party like a Russian
44. The Weeknd // False Alarm
50. Kings of Leon // All around the world
52. DNCE // Body moves
59. Nathan Sykes // Famous
90. Tom Odell // True Colours
also nice to see Zara Larsson at #16, it's 59p plus the video drops today apparently
166. Cashmere Cat - Trust Nobody (feat. Selena Gomez & Tory Lanez)
Higher please! This and Mariah's Empire track to go top 100 please!
Chainsmokers #15
Busted #17
Galantis #31
Robbie #36
The Weeknd - False Alarm #43
Kings of Leon - Around the World #48
DNCE #50
Nathan #55
Tom Odell #85
bit surprised Guetta is not top 1500 but it was available on itunes this morning when I checked
Also odd that Major Lazer are nowhere to be seen
no no Major Lazer are just outside the top 100
I don't think The Chainsmokers being at #15 is underperforming at all, while there's a lot of hype around them, they're hardly the type with a big fanbase eagerly expecting the next release. And I feel like this has been put out quite low key aswell, so I'd say it's doing very well right now.
Oh okay, fair enough, I expect they won't enter TOO high on that either but the climb will be pretty quick much like Closer. I think it's another top 5 at least.
yes he signed to Capitol instead of Syco
02. Niall Horan // This Town
13. The Chainsmokers // All We Know (feat Phoebe Ryan)
16. Busted // On What You're On

44. DNCE // Body moves
47. Kings of Leon // All around the world
50. Nathan Sykes // Famous
78. Tom Odell // True Colours
1312. David Guetta, Chris Willis & Cedric Gervais - Would I Lie to You (Radio Edit)
what a gigantic flop!
^even the original is higher
1148 Charles & Eddie Would I Lie to You?
Quite embarrassed for Niall that he has stalled at #2
Omg I was sure the David Guetta song would be iTunes top 20 at least!
11. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
I'd love to see this continue to climb at this rate - but I'll settle for inevitable top 10. Hopefully the top 10 exposure will help it as casual listeners know who they are and'll be curious.
How big is James' lead over Niall?
The second version of SYWLG makes it slightly over 15
Be interesting to see if Niall picks up, or begins to drop back massively. Also be interesting to see how good his streaming is over the weekend
10. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
Expect this to get somewhat of a boost now it's in the top 10.
Maggie Lindemann - Pretty Girl 468
Ooh *.* (former BJSC entrant of mine smashing that top 500! )
Cool Me Down 1498 59p not helping this out so far then. Really should have been a huge smash!
45 - Nathan Sykes - Famous
Assume this is getting bummed by Capital?
Hope to see "Vowels" by Capital Cities in here at some point...
Hopefully niall doesn't do the usual 1D stick debut high drop hard second week before stable
10. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)

20. Galantis & Hook N Sling - Love on Me

674. Tom Chaplin - Hold On To Our Love
830. David Guetta, Chris Willis & Cedric Gervais - Would I Lie to You (Radio Edit)
951. Norah Jones Tragedy
47. Craig David - 16
This is brilliant.
Mariah getting an Empire song into the top 100. She's still good for something other than Christmas after all
I think "16" is going to take off. It's incredible!
9. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
19. Galantis & Hook N Sling - Love on Me
C'mon! Both look set for top 40 provided their streams are good.
Does Craig David's 16 sample "Where Are U Now"? Love it.
I'm not saying this as a hater, but Niall has always seemed to me like the 1D member people cared the least about so I'm not too surprised he hasn't raced to #1 with a gigantic lead. I've not heard any hype even today about the song, although that could just be because I've not been looking in the right places.
I think it is too soon to be sampling Where Are U Now
I don't get why Craig's songs are all flopping, he was really hyped up but has mainly had low charting songs, I do like the Sigala one though.
The album is really good also
Craig David's '16' song works, when it really, REALLY shouldn't. Really like it!
EDIT:
22. Robbie Williams - Party Like A Russian
Thanks to Graham Norton. The song actually wasn't terrible.
Tove Lo's management really have screwed up with Cool Girl. It would've went top 40 officially next week..
New Robbie Williams song is very good! heard him perform it on Graham Norton Show
9. The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)
14. Busted - On What You're On
18. Galantis & Hook N Sling - Love on Me
21. Robbie Williams - Party Like a Russian

89. Major Lazer & Showtek - Believer
105. Cashmere Cat - Trust Nobody (feat. Selena Gomez & Tory Lanez)

536. David Guetta, Chris Willis & Cedric Gervais - Would I Lie to You (Radio Edit)
551. Maggie Lindemann - Pretty Girl
1006. HONNE - FHKD (feat. Kill J)
1492. LIV - Wings of Love
Britney's first performance on UK TV tonight in 8 years on Jonathan Ross. She's performing Make Me... Do we think it might re-enter the iTunes Top 100?
Zara Larrson - Ain't My Fault 12
Hailee Steinfield Ft Grey & Zedd - Starving 45
Yesss to both of these!
Liam's always felt like the "anonymous" member to me, speaking as someone who follows many 1D fans on Twitter etc, rather than Niall who gets a lot of attention I think! To the general public I guess Niall is the one that's in the papers the least though.
^^^ seconded!
For me, the popularity order for 1D (including zayn) is:
harry
zayn
niall
louis
liam
Hooray for Zara, I've been waiting for that to make some upward strides.
12. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
13. Dua Lipa -Blow Your Mind (Mwah)
48. Hailee Steinfeld & Grey - Starving (feat. Zedd)
i need all these smashes on TOP 10 now, GO.
11. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
Britney 'Sometimes' #93!
YESSSS! Such a welcome blast from the past <3
82. Britney Spears - Sometimes
253. George Michael - Praying For Time

64. Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You (Strictly)
74. Britney Spears - Sometimes (X-Factor)
212. George Michael - Praying For Time (X-Factor)
90. Gone Too Long - Matt Goss
I look at Digital Sales Data regularly, and today I've noticed the #100 is selling the most it's ever been for a few months. For the last few weeks the threshold to get into the top 100 was around 170 sales where as it's up to around 200 right now, which is quite nice.
AND, this time last week, only the top 17 had sold over 1000 copies, HOWEVER right now the whole top 30 are selling over 1000 copies a day
AND, Say You Won't Let Go is selling around 9000 copies a day right now - compared to an average of like 6800 of late.
Any reasons for this spike in sales?
'If I Ain't Got You' was Strictly, not X Factor (unless I completely missed a performance).
Years & Years only at 45 despite the discount? Ouch. :/
itunes 359 just now - LeAnn Rimes - You Light Up My Life
Nice to see this one being downloaded, cover of the original by Debby Boone and
the b-side to How Do I Live (UK Version)
71. Matt Goss - Gone Too Long
Who is Matt Goss?
67. Gone Too Long - Matt Goss
Matt is really wanting this to be a hit
Matt Goss should be asking his fans to stream and download his track.
139. Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
If the charts were decided on exclamation marks, Matt Goss might have been in luck.
The new Matt Goss track is awful #sorrynotsorry
Seemed as Matt Goss's fanbase are similarly bizarre in terms of typing style
Censoring the word 'bloody' in 2016 though :')
873. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
1389. Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett
Mariah needs to get top 200 ASAP
Mariah most certainly doesn't
10. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
This is going to be HUGE.
67. Andra Day- Rise Up
Please rise!
09. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault [Seriously hoping this remains 59p in order for it to go top 10 next week, not quite sure where it will peak on iTunes but i'm guessing it will peak around #6 with a peak of around 8/9]
16. Galantis & Hook N Sling - Love On Me
17. Martin Garrix Feat Bebe Rexah - In The Name Of Love
42. Haille Steinfield Feat Zedd - Starving
45. Craig David - 16
Hopefully Zara will shoot up Ariana style now. Sounds massive and deserves to be.
Now really starting to wonder if "Rise Up" is going to be the winner's single
9. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
yay, so happy for her... can't wait for the album, please hurry up.
71. Perfect Illusion - Lady Gaga
I don't even think an X-Factor performance is gonna help this now Awkward.
Here's a random tunes from Craig David's new album update.
21. Ain't Giving Up (also #89)
45. 16
328. Couldn't Be Mine
414. When the Bassline Drops (also #595)
549. Change My Love
566. One More Time
644. Don't Go
660. No Holding Back
666. Here with Me
697. Better with You
848. Warm It Up
1055. What If
1487. All We Needed
5 Niall Horan - This Town 0.3701 0.3756
It amazes me that Niall isn't doing that great.
I'm quite surprised. The song is insanely shite but look who's currently #01 on iTunes. When has that ever stopped things -shrug-
the James Arthur song is much better, like him or hate him, the song has melody, the Niall song is completely flat
Niall is doing great, when was #5 on iTunes and looking to be top 10 this week ever not great?
Famous - Nathan Sykes #28
Really baffled at how badly Years & Years 'Meteorite' has done... 40 on iTunes and not t200 on Spotify..... has their popularity declined? I expected Worship to perform badly as everybody had owned their album at that point but Meteorite is new material and they've always done well on streaming so why the flop? I actually really like the song.
^ That was actually the Forever Young I was hoping for when I saw Louisa was covering that. Was utterly disappointed with the actual choice.
08. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
0.2853 0.2700
#7 soon
7. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
Britney 'Make Me' #89
Slaying that Top 100 nearly 3 months after it was released.
07. Ain't My Fault - Zara Larsson
26. Famous - Nathan Sykes
39. Starving (feat. Zedd) - Hailee Steinfeld & Grey
54. Love$ick (feat. A$AP Rocky) - Mura Masa
The fact it's 59p too
Famous - Nathan Sykes #26
Would love 'Ain't My Fault' to be the first solo female act #1 of the year (highly doubt it with Bruno releasing on Friday!)
Would love for Little Mix to do it with their new one in a couple of weeks, but I'm not hopeful after the disastrous year for women in chart music atm!!
The Mura Masa/ASAP Rocky song is really good.
103. Solange Cranes in the Sky
136. Solange Don't Touch My Hair (feat. Sampha)
306. Solange Mad (feat. Lil Wayne)
575. Solange Weary
Not "certain" but the next couple of weeks is the rumoured timeline for the new single!
if the album drops Nov 18, they confirmed it themselves on a radio show, that means a new single should arrive soon
All online rumours seem to point to Little Mix releasing next Friday, with a probable X Factor performance following on the Sunday.
Their last on air release was Love Me Like You, which charted at #21 though, they've never been streaming machines, even with Black Magic, but their profile has gained a lot since last year, so I can see a top 5 debut for them. I cannot, however, see them getting a #1 anytime soon.
Craig David up to #14
31 Hailee Steinfeld & Grey - Starving (feat. Zedd)
^TOTD on R1
Good to see James continuing to be way ahead at #1, Emeli still consistent, Robbie starting to get somewhere, and even Nathan Sykes doing surprisingly well compared to last couple of singles anyway
Robbie is getting somewhere?
As much as I love Craig David, Ain't Giving Up is so mediocre. Certainly nothing on When The Bassline Drops.
Starving 27
08. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault [Could climb up to #5 on iTunes tonight]
14. Craig David & Sigala - Ain't Giving Up
24. Nathan Sykes - Famous
26. Hailee Steinfield Feat Zedd - Starving
48. Craig David, Jack U & Justin Bieber - Where Are U Now
LMAO where the hell have you plucked that crediting and title from for '16'?
haha but it's very accurate
80. Francis and the Lights - Friends (feat. Bon Iver)
Starving 22
Sexual 29
Both making further progress today, be nice if Hailee would just about manage the play zone but suspecting she'll be 28 on Friday!
Incredible for both songs! Really hoping Radio 1 will get behind 'Sexual' soon too. Being TOTD has done wonders for Hailee.
06. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
TOP 5 is coming
Robbie to smash kfnxbai.
82 Lady Gaga - Million Reasons
Wonder how high she'll get?
it's out as Grat too so sure the regular fans will preorder the album not buy the single
much better than Perfect Illusion, and she sings it better too, but still doesn't have the oomph of early singles
I'd say easily top 40 for Gaga
I suppose if Britney could reach #26 with a Grat, Gaga can do better.
instead of a Grat, they should have released a 2nd single following the underperformance of Perfect Illusion, Grats won't save this campaign, bye bye Gaga (sadly) :/
51 Lady Gaga - Million Reasons
yes Do What U Want was promoted from Grat to proper single and venus demoted...
I'm pretty sure 'Do What U Want' became the second single after the reaction to it, before anyone had heard 'Venus'.
pretty sure there was an online voting thing for the 2nd single, and Venus won, but then they ignored it and chose Do What U Want...
anyway
Zara #5
Gaga #12
Jacob Sartorius is back with another single :/
40. Jacob Sartorius - All My Friends
That was actually a bit higher the other day I think, and it fell lower, no idea why it's climbed back up
05. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault [It should climb to around #4 tonight on iTunes and hopefully top #3 tomorrow depending on if it remains 59p. G'won Zara get that fourth top five hit]
12. Lady Gaga - Million Reasons
14. Craig David & Sigala - Ain't Giving Up

Starving is 17? When did that leap up the itunes charts? Glad it is though
That new Gaga song is a bit pants isn't it really don't have high hopes for this era!
TOTD has done nothing for Shawn Mendes 'Mercy' from a couple of days back
Gaga #11
EDIT:
#10 now... not doing bad,by comparison the Weeknd Grat didn't even go top 40 (False Alarm)
great TOTD for these two:
14 Galantis & Hook N Sling Love on Me
16 Hailee Steinfeld & Grey Starving (feat. Zedd)
Didn't realise Zara was #5!
Didn't realise Bruno Mars was releasing tomorrow I hope its a funky number
This era wont be hugely successful for Lady Gaga, i think the album will open with around 35,000 sales and fall incredibly fast after that.
486. The Script- The Man Who Can't Be Moved
Interesting could be back because of the similarities around the current #1 and this.

I think 'Hurts' is going to become massive after whenever she performs it on the X-Factor (which she obviously will)
Actually quite happy that Busted are as high as 46 right now. I thought it'd probably fall out the top 60 by now. Hopefully radio can get behind it and help it keep afloat!
