Decent starts for most songs out - I'd expect The Weeknd and Robbie in particular to shoot up.

Speaking of JT, his version could dominate the charts when "Trolls" hits the cinemas. I hope it does |

18. The Chainsmokers // All We Know (feat Phoebe Ryan) 22. Busted // On What You're On 37. Galantis // Love On Me 52. The Weeknd // False Alarm 68. Nathan Sykes // Famous 111. Tom Odell // True Colours Very testosterone-heavy release week - it's like the male version of Diva Day back in 2008. Niall's song isn't that bad actually. It gives me Hey There Delilah vibes... I don't know if he will be able to cut out a successful solo career long-term though. With him I think the music is very crucial since he doesn't have the "star power" of Harry and Zayn. |

Loving all the new music this week
My thoughts: DNCE - Body Moves: sounds better than Toothbrush already. Busted - On What You're On: sounds nothing like I expected but very funky, quite a bop! AND, was that a saxophone solo I heard in the middle?! Niall Horan - This Town: nice enough but a bit boring. The Chainsmokers - All We Know: agree with others' comments that this is a poor man's Closer. The Weeknd - False Alarm: really like this! Robbie Williams - Party Like A Russian: not quite sure what to make of this yet. It's very different! Major Lazer - Believer: quite catchy, I think this could easily become another hit for them with radio support. Galantis - Love On Me: also very catchy, should easliy give them another hit. David Guetta - Would I Lie To You: what exactly is the point of this remix? Long live New Music Fridays! |
