Drew Barrymore has a TV show! It's f***ing brilliant. Go watch it now. 30mins per episode and Season 1 has 10 episodes.

I'm on episode 2 right now and I've decided this is like the best thing ever.

Posted by: Regina 3rd February 2017, 06:39 PM

Drew Barrymore.....SOLD.

Posted by: Silas 3rd February 2017, 06:59 PM

Ok I think this is like the best thing I've ever seen. Y'all should watch the f*** out of this

Posted by: Regina 3rd February 2017, 07:03 PM

Drew hasn't aged in....ever. OMG. And Timothy Olyphant, DILF. Hooked.

Posted by: Silas 3rd February 2017, 07:30 PM

I'm deep down the f***ing rabbit hole here. This is incredible

Posted by: Conderella 3rd February 2017, 11:13 PM

I guess my saturday is all planned out now. This looks insanely good and trashy. With this genre it's so easy to be too trashy, unrealistic (well... given the plot) and silly so I hope it doesn't cross that line.

Just watched the first episode and I'm in love!! Really need to binge watch it! So good and Drew is incredible as usual <3

Omfg I was in tears of laughter when Drew ate Gary!. That was incredible laugh.gif

Posted by: Martyn 4th February 2017, 09:28 PM

So this is odd.I am not sure how I feel about it.

Posted by: princess lotita 4th February 2017, 09:55 PM

struggling to get thru episode 1, is it worth it to keep watching

Posted by: Silas 4th February 2017, 10:39 PM

good god yes

Posted by: Cremey 4th February 2017, 10:45 PM

I'm halfway through this now, loving it so much. Definitely gets better after the first episode!

Posted by: Jonjo 5th February 2017, 12:11 AM

Just on episode 3. It's getting more and more like a comedic and bizarre Dexter. I love it.

Posted by: Liаm 5th February 2017, 12:55 PM

This is brilliant, I'm just watching episode 2. Such a bizarre and weird premise but it's just hilarious laugh.gif

Posted by: dandy* 5th February 2017, 04:29 PM

This is the funniest thing I've seen in ages, there are just too many moments in this that actually make me laugh out loud. Amazing premise for a show.

Posted by: Conderella 5th February 2017, 06:29 PM

Just finished this. The last episode is amazing and I found it the funniest oUt of the series tbh

The way they shift focus from the main story to completely irrelevant details is astounding. The exchange with a housekeeper in a motel and the talks with Ramona are probably my favourite moments of the entire thing. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! Something felt so FRESH about this show even if it was literally a mash up of several genres and series (izombie, Dexter, desperate housewives to name a few).

I hope Portias character will be a regular next season because i was DYING at some of the things she said. Getting one episode and already one of the most iconic characters in the show. The cast is generally pretty strong as well.

Posted by: Cremey 5th February 2017, 10:45 PM

Yeah, definitely a mash-up of Dexter and Desperate Housewives. Loved it.
The scenes with Ramona were hilarious :')

Also, think I've fallen in love with Timothy Olyphant...

Posted by: Liаm 5th February 2017, 11:10 PM

Timothy is daddy af wub.gif

Finished this now, I agree that it got better as it went along but there were so many hilarious moments throughout it all. The finale definitely sets up a clear direction for season 2 as well, hopefully it gets renewed.

Posted by: Samantha1989 5th February 2017, 11:26 PM

About to binge-watch 3 episodes in a row now! I don't think I've been over half way through a Netflix TV series this quickly since Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!

Posted by: jafetsigfinns 6th February 2017, 11:01 AM

This is amazing. I watched the entire thing on sunday lmao. Absolutely hooked and can't wait for a potential season 2!

Posted by: Lee_J11 7th February 2017, 10:49 PM

WTF how could it just end so suddenly... I NEED MORE.

Posted by: J▲hq 8th February 2017, 10:57 AM

I needed more Ramona and more of Rick's wife but this was absolutely amazing. Didn't find there to be a single weak episode.

They better give it a second season because they can't just end it where they have.

Posted by: Jack 8th February 2017, 01:44 PM

ADORE this. So watchable and funny, Drew Barrymore is so charismatic as well. Is it getting good reception elsewhere?

Posted by: Josh. 9th February 2017, 12:04 AM

Yeah, this is really amazing laugh.gif I just started watching tonight but I'm hooked already and just finished the sixth episode, Drew (and Timothy) are hilarious and both have great chemistry, I really like the teen's sideplot too, all the side characters are great tbh laugh.gif I want more from Ramona though, hope she pops up again in future episodes (/seasons?!? biggrin.gif)

Posted by: The-BrightPlaces 11th February 2017, 12:00 AM

I've watched half of this so far and I didn't expect to like it but I think it's hilarious! Sometimes it can be a bit weird tbh laugh.gif but Drew makes up for it heart.gif

Posted by: Tyler 11th February 2017, 03:14 AM

Fantastic. Perfect blend of the parents storyline along with the daughters. Really magnetized two very different audiences.

On episode and I'm finishing tonight tbh

Posted by: Tyler 11th February 2017, 03:15 AM

Episode 5.

No edit lines. The Jake mandate.

Posted by: Rob Spears 15th February 2017, 02:49 PM

Watching now!

Posted by: The Wise Sultan 15th February 2017, 02:55 PM

'Steaming now'.... coffee.gif laugh.gif

Posted by: JSG 16th February 2017, 02:22 PM

Aha this was brilliant. Really need a season 2 thanks!

It's like a more serious izombie.

Exactly how ridiculous is iZombie? Because Santa Clarita is one of the silliest things I've seen in years. (Yes, it's brilliant though)

Renewed for season 2!

on netflix now

will not be binging this time but interesting to see where they will go this season

Posted by: Nick Jonas 24th March 2018, 09:34 PM

Just watched series 2... even better than the first if that’s possible!

Posted by: ionderella 25th March 2018, 11:44 AM

Try it and I'll kick your twat so far up your throat you'll get pregnant giving blowjobs

I NEARLY DIED

Posted by: ionderella 25th March 2018, 05:06 PM

didn't wanna binge it but kinda did. i liked this season a LOT, probably even more than the first one.

drew definitely is quite a bad actress but it really works in this OTT context

sad Ramona won't be part of this anymore, she was amazing and I feel like they wasted a really strong gag

Posted by: Dexton 26th March 2018, 12:39 AM

This is the most ridiculous show I’ve ever seen! I quite like it though from the first three episodes I’ve watch tongue.gif

At this point I’d say it’s stupider than iZombie in execution, but the concept of iZombie is a bit more out there. Funny how there’s quite a few high profile actors in this yet the acting as a whole is awful laugh.gif

Posted by: Jack 31st March 2018, 10:50 PM

The 2nd season was SO much better, funnier and really quite gripping in places. I haven’t seen as much of a buzz about it this time unfortunately but I hope it can get a third series!

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 8th May 2018, 03:44 PM

Been picked up for a third 10 episode season!!!

Season 3 starts on March 29th! Cannot wait for this.

Posted by: Jack 11th March 2019, 02:20 PM

Oops didn't realise someone had already said, but yes at this coming back so soon! March 29th biggrin.gif

Posted by: cantthinkofaname 31st March 2019, 10:25 PM

I think the third season may be the best one yet. So many hilarious moments and there really never is a dull moment. I love so many characters here and even the new additions were amazing (Tommy <3 JEAN <3333). The end scene was a bit weird but I'll hold judgement on that until S4 because idk what to make of it yet.

I love this show.

Posted by: Liаm 23rd April 2019, 11:54 AM

Yeah this was the best season yet for me - that ending!!!!!!!!!! Really makes me want to see S4 already. Tommy and Jean were incredible additions too so hopefully more of them, I also love Wynter.

I've seen some stories though that they made this ending not knowing if they had S4 so if it ended there, it wouldn't be left hanging, which I can see but it also leaves potential for S4 so I'm hoping it gets renewed again as it's just so so good.

Posted by: Jαsє 23rd April 2019, 02:36 PM

Yeah, brilliant season. I really, really hope Jean is back if we get S4 because she had me in stitches! laugh.gif

Officially cancelled by Netflix sad.gif

I'm so bored of them axing really good shows they don't really bother to promote, it feels like they really ham it up on certain shows and almost you're "told" what to watch, then others they make and just leave to fend for themselves, see ODAAT also. This might not have had the representation that ODAAT did but it was really different to a lot of other shows and such a great watch.

Posted by: Calum 27th April 2019, 01:51 PM

I'd seen a couple of things floating around on Twitter that this had been cancelled, but hearing it's official is sad. sad.gif This really was one of the best shows they had on offer, so I'm baffled that it's been cancelled.

I agree with you Liam that it seems there's a certain bunch of shows they're willing to go all out for but any others that aren't in that group are just left to see if they miraculously pick up a massive following. I don't buy their excuses that there aren't enough people watching these shows because there's plenty cries of support when the cancellations are announced. Their recent announcement that they're going to be trialling top 10 lists in the UK too is just another way to promote shows that are doing well, and axe more shows that are sitting (likely just) on the outside. drama.gif

Posted by: Liаm 27th April 2019, 01:59 PM

Oh well more budget for another THRILLING season of 13 Reasons Why that we didn't need and 83 more rom-coms with Noah Centineo playing the same role laugh.gif

Posted by: dandy* 27th April 2019, 03:25 PM

That is so annoying! I hate the way they cancel things, it wouldn't be so bad if they gave the creators one season notice so that they could at least end their shows in a satisfying manner.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 27th April 2019, 03:44 PM

at least with broadcast they have the ratings from during the season so they can prepare for the inevitable

Posted by: Jack 27th April 2019, 06:55 PM

One of my favourite Netflix shows sad.gif The double blow of this and ODAAT is so crushing. I'm guessing their next move will be not to renew Bonding and Special (both of which also feature LGBT characters and are not promoted in the slightest).

Posted by: Jαsє 27th April 2019, 07:22 PM

I was gonna start Bonding but it's like wtf is the point in getting invested when they'll probably just cancel it

Gutted. SCD is one of my fave Netflix shows and it never failed to make me laugh sad.gif

Posted by: Calum 27th April 2019, 08:08 PM

They need to either just stop putting as much original content out there and disappointing fans until the shows they pick up from networks die a death, or actually put some effort into promoting all of their own content (the likes of Riverdale don't need promoting because people will watch them regardless).

Posted by: Qween 27th April 2019, 08:49 PM

Sadly not a surprise, 3 seasons does seem to be the new normal for Netflix. It’s just a shame they didn’t get a chance to write the ending of S3 as a series finale. My favourite Netflix show by far (of what’s currently airing) so such a shame to lose it.

Posted by: Severin 28th April 2019, 01:32 AM

Well that's shit. Netflix make some really good shows and this was one of them. Sadly it's clearly not mass appeal and that's why it's gone.

File alongside Deadwood and Carnivale as brilliant shows that were cancelled too soon

Posted by: Liаm 28th April 2019, 08:57 AM

They did make the ending knowing that it could be the last season, so they made it with the ending able to be either a season finale or something to build on. Whilst I can see that, the ending with Joel becoming undead really made me want more, more than it felt like a satisfying ending but I can also see how that just leaves it as Joel and Sheila lived literally happily ever after together.

I suppose that makes some sense at least, but I agree the storyline of Joel becoming undead really could have given them at least another couple of seasons. There's so many things they only just scratched the surface with that could have been explored a lot more too, i.e. a lot more people becoming undead, or a lot more people finding out about it and what happens after that, etc. sad.gif

Posted by: lewistgreen 28th April 2019, 09:44 AM

For a show that’s critically reviewed very positively and is a clear favourite on the service, it’s a massive shame Netflix has given it the boot. I really wanted to know what happens next!

Posted by: Severin 28th April 2019, 10:11 AM

For what it's worth there is actually a petition. Could be worth a go. Look at what happened with The Expanse and, many years ago - Star Trek
