BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ Killing Eve • Season 4

Posted by: Klaus 16th March 2021, 02:18 PM

Killing Eve Season 4 has been properly confirmed for 2022 (after a delay due to Covid) but it will be the final season!

I think that’s sensible as, whilst I thought Season 3 was an improvement on the second one, there don’t feel much room to go forward for Eve’s storyline. A final season gives them space to explore Villanelle in even more detail but ensure things aren’t prolonged for the sake of it.

oh how divine

Posted by: JackTheeStallion 11th January 2022, 10:52 AM

I feel like it really fell off last season, I don't think I even finished it oops! I wil watch the final series though.

Posted by: Auld Lang Wang 11th January 2022, 11:45 AM

Omg did I finish season 3?? Don't thjnk so laugh.gif

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 11th January 2022, 08:10 PM

the biggest issue is that it changes main writer every season, i’m hyped for this though

Posted by: StupidLove 11th January 2022, 11:50 PM

Yeah, I didn't enjoy season 2 and 3 as much as the first but I'm still so excited for this. Miles ahead of much else on TV.

A trailer for you all, smile.gif

Posted by: Bjork 24th February 2022, 01:54 PM

I thought at least s3 was better than s2

Posted by: Suedehead2 24th February 2022, 03:42 PM

Yes, Series 3 was a distinct improvement on Series 2.

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 24th February 2022, 04:11 PM

no way series 2 >

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 1st March 2022, 08:38 PM

very slow start

Posted by: lewistgreen 2nd March 2022, 12:54 PM

I found my interest waning during the episode. Makes sense for it to be the final season really. I struggled to even remember what happened in the last season despite the recap

Posted by: Steve201 3rd March 2022, 11:08 PM

I just get bored of the whole sarcastic tone to the main characters to be honest!

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 8th March 2022, 08:01 PM

why is nothing happening sad.gif

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 27th March 2022, 09:51 PM

my bet is carolina being the 12 leader

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 10th April 2022, 10:36 AM

wtaf was that ending

horrible rushed episode and a very much of a filler season

Posted by: dandy* 10th April 2022, 11:38 AM

There seems to have been a lot of plot elements designed purely to give characters air time when they weren't really warranted for the story. All of that church stuff at the beginning couple of episodes should have been completely canned to give the rest of the series more room to develop.

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 10th April 2022, 03:45 PM

we never received any answers too? Who was the leader of the 12?

Why did Carolyn do what she did Selena.png

Posted by: Linds. 10th April 2022, 08:36 PM

I'm gonna watch the finale tomorrow when it goes up on iPlayer but I just want to say now I 100% am not ready for the ending after reading the spoiler for it cry.gif

I'm gonna need some emotional support x

Posted by: Linds. 12th April 2022, 06:56 AM

What was that!!

They left that so open ended for a final episode? Are we just to presume Carolyn is the head of the 12? Did Villainelle actually kill them all and Carolyn just has her own agenda? What was her need to kill Villainelle?! Was Eve presumed dead as well? What was the point in killing off Konstantin?? I want a refund!

Not another series killing off a queer character minutes after they've finally found happiness, it's especially disappointing knowing there were queer writers in the writers room and there's literally no good reason to take that move from a storytelling point of view either unless it's to "punish" eve for straying from her boring life but like???? Naw I'm not happy fs Killing Eve!!

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 12th April 2022, 07:16 AM

nah we were never unviled to who was in the 12 which makes no sense, the writer says it was mainly an agenda for Carolyn to get back with M16

Posted by: Linds. 12th April 2022, 09:41 AM

That's so stupid because the whole season was about them getting to the 12 laugh.gif they should have put that as a back story, wrapped that up before the final two episodes and then brought Carolyn and her MI6 agenda to the forefront but still have it in each episode running up to the end, I don't even think Eve or Villainelle would have stopped Carolyn going back, they weren't even a threat to her they were legit doing the same thing as far as the 12 were concerned?? laugh.gif

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 12th April 2022, 12:32 PM

yeh even the actresses are confused and don't have an actual answer when they are being interviewed

Jodie shaded the ending and rightly so, It would have been better had Villaneve got together a couple of episodes into the season and even had Villanele died quickly into the final episode so we can explore Eve's reaction, instead we just got the end so we can get a Carolyn spin off.

Posted by: dandy* 12th April 2022, 08:21 PM

Isn’t the Carolyn spin off supposed to be a prequel though? So it really shouldn’t have mattered about how she ended the series.

In general though I complete echo what you guys are saying, it was such an anticlimax. Would have been so much better for them to have worked together this series as we’ve never really had that dynamic. Helene was sacrificed too simply and Konstantin should have survived

Posted by: Linds. 13th April 2022, 09:13 AM

Apparently the book ending is totally different, Eve and Villainelle stay together and Villainelle even gets a degree in linguistics laugh.gif

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 13th April 2022, 09:59 AM

the way jodie and sandra haven’t even posted about the finale

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 13th April 2022, 10:00 AM

I think the biggest issue with Killing Eve is the constant change of lead writers tbh

Posted by: blacksquare 13th April 2022, 11:09 AM

I'm just going to pretend Killing Eve was an incredible limited series by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and everything after it didn't happen x

Posted by: dandy* 13th April 2022, 11:30 AM

That’s the thing - the following 3 series may as well have not happened as the ending was almost identical with, in retrospect, nothing of any significance happening between!

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 13th April 2022, 11:47 AM

This season really should have been Villanelle and Eve actually being together at least the audience would have been satisfied with one of their deaths, we should have had an unmasking of the twelve almost every episode and seen them working together instead we got the same old pointless storylines and them together for five minutes and it to end, but yeh the actresses seem to be pissed at the ending and Pheobe must be FURIOUS

Posted by: Chez Wombat 13th April 2022, 11:53 AM

I was moderately interested in seeing if they can pull it back after the extremely disappointing Season 3 but...I think I can gather from the general reaction they haven't quite done that laugh.gif Not gonna bother with it now, each season has been a step down from the last to the point I can't be bothered to trudge through it all just to get (disappointing) closure. What a shame, file it next to Game of Thrones going forward I guess...

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 13th April 2022, 11:59 AM

Jodie has even unfollowed laura from Insta, what a queen

Posted by: Linds. 13th April 2022, 02:13 PM

I'm pretty sure that was the last season, the spin off is absolutely gonna bomb lmao

Basically why I'm pissed off with it ^

It's almost an identical set up to what they did on the 100 that caused me to stop watching it years ago :')

Posted by: Skankhunt43 13th April 2022, 06:35 PM

Should I bother watching the series, or even just the last episode, oe hard pass??

And where can I find oot all this Jodie drama, like her shade and unfollowing etc? Articles online are just praising the "coueageous ending"!!!

Posted by: StupidLove 17th April 2022, 10:43 PM

Whilst I enjoyed this season, the last episode was the worst ending of tv I've ever seen, even beating Game of Thrones.

Posted by: Steve201 18th April 2022, 11:15 PM

It was a boring series as expected!

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes 22nd April 2022, 05:51 PM

the author of the books has slammed the ending

Posted by: Bjork 18th May 2022, 08:42 PM

finally watched the last episode, terrible ending, cannot think of a worst way they could have ended this
