Ariana Grande heads for 3 weeks at #1 with 7 rings. After picking up a lot of hype last year Billie Eilish could score her first top 10 single with bury a friend, released ahead of her debut album. Other new entries could come from Fredo & Dave All I Ever Wanted and CamelPhat & Cristoph Breathe

The album chart may see The Greatest Showman return to the top- challenged by new albums from Busted with Half Way There, the return of The Specials with Encore, Ian Brown's Ripples and Fredo's Third Avenue. Steps' Claire Richards and White Lies are among the other new releases, including Within Temptation, Nina Nesbitt and Beirut

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Have a feeling Busted will get the no1 album, their preorders were pretty strong.

Matt Willis, is that you? biggrin.gif

I jest. It'd be lovely to see Busted get it, it's a fantastic record. I can't believe that for all the sales they had back in the day that neither of their first two albums made number one!

They were only just ahead in the early chart update yesterday but they have 5 more signings this week, a ticket/album bundle launching on Wednesday and have just added loads of singed bundles to their official site so hopefully that will keep them selling. The week 2 slump could be epic though!

Minty is predicting Claire Richards to end up at #6 so presumably she's top five at the moment. Also saying that Billie Eilish is doing 'very well' in the singles, I'm going to predict top 5 for her.

I'd also expect Fredo & Dave to be top 10 today.

Just incidentally...does anyone have an updated list of Busted's biggest hits? I know OCC published this one just before they announced their reunion in 2015. It would be interesting to see if any of the 'Night Driver' singles have overtaken some of their lesser known hits since then: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/b...evealed__10936/

Might not be top 10, but Those Days Are Gone was in their top 5 most popular on Spotify for ages until fairly recently.

So pleased to see Busted now 600 ahead - they could just hold on seeing as they have so much planned this week cheer.gif

And a great start for Claire after the delays with the album - ultimately it will probably end up a 8-68-out album but pleased she’ll make the Top 10.

600 sales gap between Busted and The Specials, then. Relatively good considering that the gap was 200 in the early flashes!

that gap would've been between Busted and Ian though, The Specials sold more than both yesterday!
