With approval, Marshmello is releasing new music this Friday with the unforgotten and great rapper Lil Peep who sadly died in November. Explaining the situation, Marshmello said that Lil Peep's mom wanted her son's music coming out so we are getting that Friday.
BTW last Friday Marshmello released "LoVe U" official music video.

I'm absolutely terrified about this. I really, really, really hope Marshmello doesn't do one of my all-time favourite artists a disrespect by releasing his generic future bass style with Peep please stay true to his roots

Marshmello's original style was less generic than the style he has made the UK charts with though.
Never really heard Lil Peep's songs before, I will go and listen to a few of his songs to see what sort of style he had.

still, a playful synthy eurodance song would be even more disrespectful than a future bass song imo.

I don't know I don't think 'Alone' type production would be too disrespectful. Some of the synths especially early in Alone are are quite reflective rather than too upbeat I think.
It will almost certainly be a normal future bass song though like 'Silence' I think.
Btw yes I do really like Lil Peep's style of music after checking it out. Such a shame he is now deceased, he sounds like a great talent. RIP.

Sounds good. I think a move of this thread to the urban forum is on the cards then.

We'll be keeping it in Dance, as for all Marshmello songs unless he stops dance tracks altogether and does a whole urban album (like Steve Aoki recently with his urban project).

Steve Aoki's most recent album I heard bits of was still dance I would say, it was kind of EDM trap iirc.

Listening to it... this sounds like it belongs in the R&B/Urban forum... and I'm also not impressed; dull.

I really like this, just reminding me that I still need to go listen to some of Peep's other stuff.

I like this waaaaay more than anything else Marshmello has ever done, probably because it doesn't sound like anything else he's done.
