The next set of results will be in 2's up until the top 25 then it will be single sets of results.

Some clues as to the next 2 that will drop, a lead single & a stand-alone, any guesses....

#29. Christmas Tree Farm | Avg.6.593

Highest Scores: 10: (FUTURE NOSTALGIA, ready for it, George.keh), Lowest Scores: 2: WinterFreeze, Bjork)

At #29 is 'Christmas Tree Farm', released in December 2019 as a stand-alone single, it received positive reviews and charted in several countries worldwide including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, UK & USA. Taylor wrote, recorded and released the song in 6 days & its not bad considering, a nice joyful little number with its winter jazzy intro, before bursting into a infectious X-Mas tune in similar vein to a certain Mariah Carey X-Mas track (but for the life of me can't remember which one happy.gif). Although I do feel its a little too high on here & maybe in years to come it will become more of a X-Mas staple.

#28. Look What You Made Me Do | Avg.6.625

Highest Scores: 11: (FUTURE NOSTALGIA, ready for it), Lowest Scores; -1/0: (WinterFreeze, Bjork)

At #28 is the infamous 'Look What You Made Me Do', released in August 2017 as the lead single from her 6th studio album 'Reputation'. This was Swift's big comeback after a 1 year hiatus and received a polarized response from music critics, but nonetheless it broke a string of records, including the record for the most plays in a single day on Spotify & became massive commercial success by topping the charts in several countries worldwide such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK & USA. I actually really like this song, yes its certainly darker & angrier than anything she's done before with thinly veiled barbs are some of her enemies, but you gotta admit its very bold with some fun inventive hooks that do show some artistic progression, she really takes risks here and while it may not fully pay off, its still a very catchy.

Christmas Tree Farm is a bop. LWYMMD less so, but it's alright. Not really big losses for me though! ohmy.gif

EDIT: Maybe CTF deserved top 20 actually.

'Look What You Make Me Do' deserves better sad.gif my appreciation for it has dropped a little since it came out but I still gave it an 8. 'Christmas Tree Farm' is really cute as well, probably one of my favourite festive songs of the 2010s already tbh

won't complain cos those 2 are my least favourites of her together with Me

LWYMMD should have been a one-off single, never an album lead... love when Taylor makes little tongue'n'cheek songs about her past relationships, but not when it's drama about labels and feuds and enemies, cannot relate at all... but worst, the song has no melody at all, I love her regular songs even 99% of the time she uses the same chords, but LWYMMD is like one chord repeated to infinity, there is not even song structure biggrin.gif

#27. White Horse | Avg.6.812

Highest Scores: 10: (WinterFreeze), Lowest Scores: 3: (Tawdry Hepburn)

At #27 is 'White Horse', released in December 2008 as the 2nd single from her 2nd studio album 'Fearless' & received positive reviews & won 2 awards at the 2010 Grammy Awards for 'Best Country Song' & 'Best Female Country Vocal Performance'. The song also performed well commercially, although not on the level of the lead single 'Love Story'. It peaked at #13 on the US Top 100 and #2 on the US Country charts, spending 22 weeks on the charts and went 2x Platinum with sales of 2 Million copies. The track also charted in 3 other countries with top 50 peaks in Australia & Canada, as well top 75 in the UK in 2009 where it was released as the 3rd single following 'Teardrops On My Guitar' there. A beautiful yet simple heartbreaking ballad, done with impressive subtlety that turns the fairy tale imagey of her previous single on its head. Even at this early stage in her career Taylor digs deeper into those romantic tropes and give us a look at the emptiness of symbolic gestures.

#26. Should've Said No | Avg.6.843

Highest Scores: 10: (FUTURE NOSTALGIA, George.keh), Lowest Scores: 3: (Jack)

At #26 we say goodbye to our first album era with 'Should've Said No', released in May 2008 as the 5th and final single from her self-titled debut album & became a further success for her as it became her 2nd #1 on the US Country Charts and peaked at #33 on the US Top 100, becoming the album's 5th top 40 hit and went onto sell over 1.5 Million copies , earning a Platinum status. The song also became her first to chart outside the USA & Canada by managing a top 20 successful peak in New Zealand. Don't think I would've ranked this as the best from her debut album, but it is a rather decent tune with its Country twang which lends a playful edge to a pop/rock sound where she addresses the wrong doing on a former lover before shutting him down completely in the chorus which kinda comes across more whiny than entirely convincing. However on the whole its a fun bit of early Country Taylor.

I actually really like LWYMMD! It's not a favourite by any means, but I feel it deserves better than 28th.

#25. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together | Avg.6.875

Highest Scores: 11: (JosephInSpace), 10: (FUTURE NOSTALGIA, SamJudd, ready for it), Lowest Scores: 0: (blacksquare, Tawdry Hepburn)

At #25 we lose a big one here 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', released in August 2012 as the lead single from her 4th studio album 'Red' and became an instant commercial success by becoming her first #1 on the US Top 100, as well as topping the charts in Canada & New Zealand, while reaching top 5 peaks in Australia, Japan, Ireland, South Korea, Israel as well as the UK, making this her first top 10 hit since 2009 and what would be the start of her being a staple on the charts there. The single received overall positive reviews, while some were sceptical for moving into a full on Pop sound, but nonetheless it still ranks as one of her best selling singles with worldwide sales of 7 Million.

Despite moving into quite a different genre (for her) Taylor still doesn't her connection to her audience, sounding revitalized, smarter & tougher than before on this infectious little number laden with a rousing chorus & that constant guitar loop which is almost as iconic as the song itself. The sense of joy here is so perfectly engineered & just a well crafted pop song that makes this a brilliant re-introduction if you will to the force that is Taylor Swift.
