Launch will definitely be the biggest yet but the World Cup will hurt it this year. It’ll probably be between Series 2 & 3 overall. Unless they’re’s some big surprises, this will be peak year in terms of hype.

I like Niall

The A and E guy seems in the wrong show - a male Camilla. Eyal is alright... but I think he may become a bit too intense and irritating, the girl he's with is completely out of her depth with him though.

The pen bloke is irritating and looks weird too. The other blokes haven't really impacted tbh.

I really like Samira too and also Kendall.

At the moment the only couple that seems on the same wavelength is Kendall and Niall.

Obvious that Adam will choose Dani. He can crack on with her - if she doesn't feel it, he knows he has Laura and the other girl (seemal??) to fall back on.

Niall is completely hilariou, Hayley is the hottest girl and Kendall's eyes are something else.

Yeah we are not having BBUK vs Love Island here, the bitter stan wars are so tiring on Twitter and I'm stopping it if it carries on here. Idk if I stan or hate half of these people I'll give them time to come out of their shells a bit and settle in rather than just being concerned with getting their initial partner as it was tonight, it'll be interesting to see how this lot are when they're a bit more comfortable and secure in their pairs, or when cracks start showing. Laura I definitely don't like though, I got similar vibes to Rooney! She's just got something about her that I would not trust at all.

The most annoying thing about this programme is how you could be watching another programme that has nothing whatsoever to do with Love Island and yet some idiot will bring it up out of the blue time and time again. Discussion about this programme even came up randomly while I was listening to Capital Xtra this morning when my alarm went off which was even more annoying and the fact that we have to put up with this for another 8 weeks apparently is even worse.

I don't get what their problem is with Alex? Just because he isn't the stereotype of Love Island? It's really awful to watch him just be treated like a leper as he said :/ He's decent looking, seems like a really nice guy, I'm sure people are gonna vote for him to get with Rosie though and hopefully having someone else with a professional role, presumably a bit more intellectual for want of a better word! I actually quite fancy Jack, he's got a sort of attainable-ness like he'd be one of your mates who'd just be quite funny and you'd kinda find attractive plus I loooove his slight "dadbod". The teeth are so offputting though. Him and Dani seem the most "real" too, like they seem like they'd be a good couple and they genuinely fit together and seem like a couple that could be really good, both seem like real genuine people and very human which makes both of them so likeable.

Kendall seems lovely but I agree she isn't cut out for this show. If she is gonna take ages to open up and get to know someone and show herself, then by the time she even remotely gets going she's gonna end up re-coupled every time She seems to have the guys after her but it's never gonna go right if everytime she has to recouple she falls back into insecurity and has this stumbling block because of her past.

Hayley is honestly unbearable at this point so I really hope she goes, it's definitely her or Samira but her and Alex will probably just stick together as the kind of odd ones out so each will have a chance with newbies who come in. Hayley just seems to have totally alienated Eyal and the others aren't exactly queuing up.

If Kendall stayed there would have been so much drama as she would have tried to get Adam back, no question. Was shocked Eyal picked Hayley, but agree with Liam that he thought Adam would go for her. Kendall was deffo not right for the show though, it's clear her head is not in the right place for it.

I probably would have hated Kendall in a few days mind, because she'd either have been letting herself get mugged off by Adam or she'd have been reset by being recoupled with Eyal and she'd just spend the week in the same loop of being "not ready" and wanting to take it slow Which is why she isn't right for the show, clearly she's still not really over what happened with her ex and isn't ready to move on in front of the nation.

I went on holiday after the first episode and am catching up today... i've watched 3 episodes and all the women barring Samira are awful. Even Dani who seemed alright to begin with is just grating and irritating.

Alex, Niall and Jack are ok, Wes is tolerable (but I know Niall walks). Fingers crossed the newcomers redeem the cast as most of them are dreadful

I'm here for Alex and Samira to just stick together until they get someone (I can imagine the producers desperately looking through the reserves for someone for Alex lmaoo), obv Alex is gonna beat anyone in a vote and people seem to generally like Samira (apart from my housemate who randomly hates her and snipes every time she's on screen).

Wes and Laura being incompatible oops, they're just SO dull. I know the point is LOVE Island and they're the most stable couple along with Dani & Jack but they have absolutely nothing to them as people, there is no entertainment in watching them.

Yeah I think they'll have a reserve for either one or the other (Alex likely as he's the public fave), I think as a couple other than Dani and Jack they're the most likeable as two people, as well as being good to watch, but it'd be kinda embarrassing for the producers taking the format forward if they were to stick together and win at the end when they aren't what the show is about

I am still enjoying this series but it's probably a victim of its own hype I think, people expect SO much so a good solid series isn't enough and everyone is going on on social media about how it isn't living up to last year.

I (tentatively) really like Ellie and Zara so far! I seem to flip-flop over most of the islanders though, aside from loving Alex, Jack and Dani always and Eyal has become eternally the worst. Even Adam got better for a bit when he was being nice to Alex and helping him although he's back to being snakey over Rosie now So with Ellie and Zara I'll give them time to f*** it up in a recoupling or something.

It all depends if it's a recoupling or a vote to save favourite couple or an individual public vote. I would guess she would top an individual vote, but a recoupling she could be in danger.

They do tend to listen to the public - Montana and Camilla were huge favourites last year but often in danger and they did public votes when they were :').

That's the great thing about this format, it's far more flexible with regards to how eliminations play out. They can do pretty much whatever they want or need to save whoever without it being too obvious or desperate like in say Big Brother where the format is more rigid and they have to think up countless ridiculous twists that just distort and ruin the format. Like Jack said if a favourite is in danger because they aren't in the best couple for them, then a public vote can save them, whereas in Big Brother if a big loud character was in danger in a vote to evict, they would have to pull out immunity and they practically do everything bar fix the votes

Loved her in that series, she seemed genuinely lovely and such a warm person.

Really sad about this also, one of the stars of Series 2 and I'm only just watching it on Netflix now so it all feels so raw Such a genuine lovely person - people are sadly saying it was suicide, I remember reading she suffered very badly with anxiety but didn't know it was that bad. Distraught for her family and loved ones.

The recoupling is hard to tell, but the odds don't look good for Rosie right now unless Sam picks her. I can't see him picking Zara, but could see him going for Ellie/Georgia. If the latter happened then I suppose it's all about who Josh would pick. All depends on the order the producers pick.

Literally everyone I know is still watching it, it does need a bit of spice, but sometimes you can do these things and it has a negative long term affect on the show for the sake of a cheap ratings boost. We are barely even halfway through so I am sure they have some things up their sleeves.

Yep Samira was spot on! People were slagging her off for "just wanting to stay in the villa" and yes, I suppose her timing wasn't *perfect* but nevertheless she was right I think Ellie might have had thoughts along the lines of "well he's nice and people love him so I'll give it a chance" rather than totally being fake or using Alex, but now it's "official" she's realising she can't really fake it or push it.

I think it's perfectly allowed for, when it is "official" now, for her to realise it's just not happening... Yeah Jack and Dani winning this is one of the most obvious things I've seen ever on reality TV I guess with something as volatile as human relationships, anything could happen when there's still a month to go but I just can't see it, they're so in love in this honeymoon phase and they're just so ridiculously likeable as individuals and as a unit, haven't seen anyone say a bad thing about either of them.

Yeah he is only 20 years old... I remember what I was like at that age and you do definitely learn from experience and treat people with more respect and tact as you get older.

Equally, I don't think guys like Wes and Adam are likely to truly learn from their experiences in the short/medium term - looking like they do, they'll have girls throwing themselves at them which won't encourage them to reflect on their behaviour.

I can't at people defending Wes, Megan or Adam :') All of their actions are inexcusable and not how people should treat other people. Laura gave me everything ''Yes I did call you a slag!'' I screamed.

Samira is low key v two faced too, persuading Megan to go after Wes then the next minute hugging and comforting Laura. She helped cause all of it! Really not a fan of Zara or Ellie either, especially Zara, she is a girl who is happy to have her man control her every move.

I'm not defending their actions, I'm putting myself in their position and at that age I made mistakes with how I treated people I liked too. A lot of it is immaturity rather than being bad people and their looks enable them not to face the consequences of their actions as other people would. Of course people should not be treated the way Rosie or Laura have been.

To be honest, I don't think Wes is as bad as Adam or Megan (yet). I think he is a young boy who doesn't yet know how to treat a woman correctly. Adam's behaviour is more worrying as it seems more of a pattern and I don't think the gaslighting accusations are unfounded.

Also is it possible that Samira was offering objective advice to a friend rather than scheming to break up a couple? Although I guess the alternative would be not get involved at all.

Hmmm judging from Aftersun I don't think the singles are getting dumped from the villa, at least not straight away (or maybe by a public vote). Surely having Wes back in there after dumping Laura and then Meg pieing him off is the potential for TV gold. Complaints are a bit much as that's the show but I do think it was a bit cruel, they know damn well Jack did nothing wrong and don't choose to show her that he slept outside for example instead of sharing a bed. There's enough drama coming without them doing that to Jack and Dani, but they're real so nothing will come of it. Imagine if it backfired and Dani went proper off on one and they broke it off though, the viewer backlash would be INSANE.

Megan is quite possibly one of the nastiest pieces of work I've seen on reality TV in a while... I cannot believe she is hyping up Josh and congratulating him and laughing, idk what her problem is with Georgia all the time but she's been an absolute twat to her the entire time. For a girl to be down like that and her to just kick her some more is disgusting - no wonder she has no female friends Georgia is an absolute diamond, I kinda wanted her to just f*** it and go with one of the new boys but it just hows how loyal she was and how much she liked Josh that she risked it and held out some hope. She's handled it so well with class and composure, I'd end up losing it and totally blowing my top in her situation

Also beginning to really go off Alex, like I've said I think it's gone to his head a bit that he was this hero/national treasure figure at the start and when girls come in they sort of mention that and he's probably one of the ones they want to see the most. The way he talks sometimes is really offputting, I think he's becoming closer (or acting closer) to the Love Island stereotype and pushing his luck a bit whereas his whole appeal was that he was this sweet out of his depth doctor who was the opposite of what we expect on the show.

Probably an unpopular opinion I really like Georgia and I felt for her BUT I don’t really think Josh has done anything wrong tbh . If they were both in the villa at the same time when it happened then fair enough but Josh was in Casa Amor and didn’t get a chance to let Georgia know how he was feeling so went with his gut . Josh and Kaz seem to really suit and have an connection there as well .

I get that it's a game and when you go in Casa Amor there might be someone who you like more than your current partner but he surely knew Georgia liked him and from the way he was talking it's like he had doubts about her and really should have been upfront with her in that case. I know that they didn't know they were going to Casa Amor and the whole point was to test them like that but there's been people like Ellie who were honest at the risk of their own place in the villa, if he just wasn't feeling it he should have been honest and they could have maybe worked on it or moved on within the villa. It feels like he was using Georgia as a placeholder and then dropped her as soon as someone better came along.

No, she didn’t commit suicide because of Love Island but she’s spoken out in the past how the producers used to play her anxiety to their advantage, locking her in a room on her own, sending Tom’s ex in of all people. It certainly contributed to a really bad mental state, though I’m fully aware she’s taken her life 2 years later. It’s still an important reminder that playing too strongly with the mental health of these people can cause problems. But, yes, people are being too sensitive over what was shown to Dani.

It's not that all the Islanders are awful, but there's too many couples so there's so many nothingy newbies that pretty much everyone is on the same level of not being shown I'm sure Megan will stay anyway because I'm sure people will keep her for drama over utter bores like Ellie and Charlie - I honestly forgot both of them were in there at points. Getting rid of say Ellie/Charlie, Sam/Ellie, Adam/Darylle and Alex/Grace would be fab (at least Josh and Kaz fit as a couple) as they aren't bringing anything. Alex is just awkward and painful to watch at this point, it was cute when he was the poor little doctor who nobody wanted but he's had his chances now and just is so awkward and f***s it up each time. Mind you Grace has to be one of the most vapid and dense people they could have gotten, even for a show like this Serves him right really, it seemed to click a bit better with Charlie at least yet as I said he basically swapped from her to Grace just because he could. He's acting like that one weird kid at school who made one popular friend and completely changed to be accepted into the "cool" group by doing anything he thought would make him "cool".

It's just getting a bit boring now, like I'm really invested in Dani/Jack but we all know they are going to win, and there's going to only really be so much they can do to keep Georgia for much longer unless a new guy is put in and wants her. I do like Laura too though and I guess Samira so hopefully with a bit of a clearout we see more of them and their relationships can develop and be something we can root for a bit.

Dumping at least 2 or 3 is a good opportunity to get some of the deadwood and filler out, as said it's quite easy to give certain couple a certain edit and when Jack and Dani are eating up most of the votes, the little boost that'd give will have helped them out. When it's vote to save, just being shown helps, obviously Megan and Josh are not at all likeable but as they have storylines people are much more likely to vote them in than say Charlie and Ellie!

Granted it wasn’t fine for Ellie to say what she did but for him to act so personally offended by it shouting ‘go away’, I started thinking after a while that he was just doing it because the two of them weren’t on great terms from their couple-up. He REALLY needs to go hahahah.

I was kinda rooting for Laura in that episode. I felt kinda bad because obviously following the Wes and Megan situation she really would be on a defensive if anything like that happened again.

Not sure I can blame Georgia really, she's been treated pretty shit the whole way through by some of the girls just by having a bit of fun and being a bit loud etc. - why not look out for herself? It just symbolises how she's treated that they turn on for a date the show made her go on (granted, not with Jack, but any choice she had would be coupled up) yet they are all fine with Megan doing far worse I know that Laura and Georgia were closer, but even the likes of say Ellie, the comments Samira mad about Georgia at the dumping...

I don't think Georgia is totally in the right as she shouldn't have done it and lied but I find it hard to root for Laura when she already being a bit unreasonable when Georgia said "he's funny I'm gonna choose him for a date", but that didn't mean Georgia had to take the piss and push it that bit further. Laura had it happen with Wes though and obviously for it to happen on national TV twice is awful and she is really not gonna want it to happen, it's raw and sensitive and something she might not react to rationally or calmly and fair enough I guess. Plus it is a pressure cooker in there and I suppose you can't say how to react to things, we can view it one way but it's going to be totally different when you're in there 24/7 and everything revolves this game and the relationships that come from it. You can't just take time out like you could in real life, you've got to sit and stew in situations and they get out of hand much more easily. With that in mind, and Georgia pushing it and taking the piss, you can see where Laura is coming from and why she feels that way.

Actually Charlie spoke a lot of sense too, whatever Georgia has done I have no idea why Ellie felt the need to get so personally offended and nasty about it, she can't be on her moral high horse speaking to people like that :/ Ellie comes across as incredible immature. I don't see why they all need to get involved in something between Georgia and Laura anyway, as Nelly says Alex as well as if he's Jeremy Kyle mediating it all I suppose when you are in a confined space like that and there isn't much to do, when drama does happen it is probably far too easy to get drawn into it and want a piece of the action.

They need to stop putting all these people in and focus on who is in there at this point, I get that when things break down and someone is liked they might want to keep them in by putting someone else in, but it stops the ones who already there being shown, like we've still seen virtually nothing of Charlie :/

I think the problem with this series is that the originals just weren't that interesting - or the ones that struggled to get into a relationship and therefore every time a newbie enterred eyes were on them - Alex, Samira etc were nice, but how many people needed to enter?

Alex has had so many opportunities over the last couple of months that its ridiculous. And every single girl was 'she's my type, she's so hot etc' and they've been interested in him until they get to know him. I think its time he went tbh, same with Samira as both are really adding nothing that we haven't seen a zillion times since they've enterred the villa.

Georgia is really terrible now, everyone was rooting for her so much when all the Josh shit went down and then she totally ruined it with the Jack saga (which actually I wasn't *totally* against her for as I genuinely believe they both had their wires crossed a bit), moreso the way that she dealt with it. She has gotten so defensive and is overcompensating harping on about loyalty, it was funny at first but it's as if she's been replaced with a Georgia 2.0 robot who is spewing out all her catchphrases and cliches. Christ she's even worse tonight. I feel so bad for Sam, I think he quite likes her and she just wants to extend her free holiday for a bit longer. If she liked him, surely no question she would leave and be with him. I suppose nothing is stopping them staying and "splitting" so not being an official couple but still purusing their romance, but that would cause so much unnecessary pressure in terms of the person they'd be coupled up with for example, and that was not her intention lmao. She wants the free holiday for a bit longer and some more exposure so she has more chance of getting a Loyal trademark to sell t-shirts. You wouldn't just risk it and put yourself through that pressure for the sake of a week or two in the villa if you liked someone that much.

Torn on Laura tonight, I do really feel sorry for her but Jack couldn't have been more honest and mature, they seem to sort of be in a perpetual rocky patch because she overreacts and gets quite defensive. It was quite clearly not working but she just sort of clung on and won't move on, I get that it was awful what happened with Wes but Jack couldn't have been more upfront (and he spoke of his doubts before this even), so I don't fully get her issue. I know it must be frustrating to be that bit older and at a different stage to potential partners ,and it was awful that Wes f***ed her over without speaking to her about it even, but I kind of see the issues that lie within Laura. If you just don't find the right man and it isn't working, you can't expect them to keep at it just because you got hurt already.

I actually want Laura to win now. Apart from Jack and Dani who have been consistent (but have also acted as extras for long chunks of the series), she is the only person who hasn't backstabbed or mugged someone off to get what they want. The way that she dealt with both Wes and Jack was incredibly mature, as was the way she kept a level head with Megan's and Georgia's selfish actions (with the exception of one tongue slip towards Meg).

Paul actually seems like a decent guy from the little that we've seen of him so hopefully the producers don't throw any more shit at her during the final week.

I mean, no. It wasn't 'Alex walks up to girl and makes her do something against her will' (which would obv be inappropriate), they were in bed being passionate, it's just an escalation from kissing. During sex you don't say 'can I do this?' at every turn realistically (yes you check periodically if people are okay and consenting but there's nothing to suggest he didn't or she wasn't)

This is not only directed at you but I think people do the absolute MOST with Alex. I'm not suggesting he has been perfect or that his eyes didn't wander but in general he hasn't been anywhere near as snaky as say Josh, Wes, Megan, Georgia, Adam, Eyal, the list goes on. Alex has for the most part spoken to people politely to let them know what is going on. I appreciate he wasn't forthcoming with Alexandra but having explained this to her on their date it comes to something if we count him as some kind of villain for making a mistake. There's a reason why everyone in the villa rates him so highly and has throughout.

Don't get me started on the fact there appears to be loads of in jokes and chants and phrases he is at the heart of but we never see in conception, we are just fed him as some kind of bore and I really think his villa mates would say otherwise.

I had a lowkey feeling that Josh and Kaz could challenge Jack and Dani, up until they've had a couple of times in the bottom few, particularly tonight. They're the most solid couple in there other than Jack and Dani, but I think people want to see Alex and Laura for example succeed whereas with Josh and Kaz there seem to be a lot of comments that Kaz is bitchy and judgemental and hard to warm to. I agree personally, Josh is fine I guess and can be amusing. On one hand I did think a bit wtf that they were below rocky couples like Alex squared and Laura/Paul but I can see why people want to see Alex and Laura over Josh/Kaz as a couple. They've been there since day 1 and I'd rather see them complete their journey than Josh/Kaz who are just a stable couple and boring, not lovable like Jack and Dani.


As for Megan and Wes, it feels like they've tried so hard to put them as contenders from the editing but I think people just really don't like Megan and it is not gonna happen

I loved all the speeches (apart from Wes's). Laura looked absolutely gorgeous and Paul looked damn fine too during the speeches. Definitely rooting for them for the win!

I like Laura individually but her and Paul as a couple I really dont think should be top 2 I do think Josh and Kaz deserved to be top 2 but its pretty obvious Jack and Dani will win so I suppose it doesn't really matter anyway

Had to be Jani really, easily rhe best couple and genuinely just so sweet. Dani is one of the most genuinely lovely people I've seen a show like this, she showed that this entire show isn't some bunch of vapid people, she's a genuinely lovely person who had so much time for everyone and totally deserved everything she got from this experience. Her and Jack are the only couple where I look at them and can see them really lasting, maybe Josh and Kaz.
