I was thinking of doing a 'music video rate', before I saw that you're currently doing a single rate! Maybe I'll do it after? Just a thought of slightly different rate, plus she's had some fabulous (and fabulously shit) videos.

Older and wiser, Rihanna decided to take a "more mature" approach in advancing her relationship with Drake, and he agreed.
The now exclusive couple dated briefly in 2010 and has casually hooked up since then. RiRi and Drake won’t be taking any other big steps in their relationship anytime soon though.

That's surprisingly good! I say surprisingly because while I did like Hustler to an extent it's not really my sort of thing, but this cover is a very nice chilled out version of Diamonds. Good stuff!

Acually, fairly accurate! 'California King Bed' suffered due to me choosing the opposing choice instead by accident! Should be 6th at least, but apart from that I don't think there's anything else obvious. Although HTILY seems rather low for a song I admire so much... but I am gonna put that down to her discography being incredible! Oh and 'Stay' is definitely in my top 5! Above WMN at LEAST!

So underrated. Can't say I'm surprised, as it's like her own 'Break The Rules' in a way Pleased to see he made one of those generator things for Rihanna as it'd be impossible for me to rank her songs on my own, more so than any other artist I think!

I clicked no opinion too many time oops, couldn't recall the first two era's album tracks well enough. Seems about accurate at the top, certainly that top 5 except actually I'd say Unfaithful 4th, Stay 3rd and Disturbia 5th nowadays maybe? Idk though it's so close because they're all flawless 11/10s. WFL is horrifically overrated but maybe ~20th is more appropriate What's My Name is similar - overrated but at least top 40

If you're hoping for Good Girl Gone Bad/Loud style in her next album I think you'll be very disappointed! ANTI is a clear indication of the sort of artistic direction Rihanna wants to go in AND it's still giving her the hits, I mean 'Work' is one of the biggest songs of the year!

I want Rih to make the music she wants to but I also want her to continue to enjoy big commercial success and achievements.
As big as 'Work' was this is her first album since her first album that only contains one big hit. Especially after her long absence this was the time to really bring it. All she really needed was to tack 'Cheap Thrills' on and she would've been set for this era tbh. It wouldn't have taken any credibility away from ANTI either.
She's lucky she's featured on two big featured hits this year that kept her prominent during the Summer.
I'm not asking for another GGGB or Loud, but it's not too much to ask for 2 or 3 big hits on every album, like TTT and 'Unapologetic' (which as albums I prefer to GGGB and Loud anyway)
. The rest of the album can be post-avant garde jazzcore for all I care.

'Needed Me' is not an international hit single. Yes it's slaying in the US, it was actually top 10 for over 3 months (14 weeks so far), but elsewhere its success is very limited.
I just think she should move on to the next as ANTI feels pretty much done with. (I'd be more than happy to eat my words of course if LOTB slays). I feel like the non-US public is not really on her side with this album. Radio isn't on her side either. I'm forced to listen to the radio at work pretty often and I've heard 'Work' maybe once, 'Needed Me' 0 times and 'Kiss It Better' a grand total of 3 times. She used to be an absolute FORCE on the Dutch radio.
If her next album isn't more commercial/less urban I fear she sooner than later will become a has-been relying on fan support and some of you might be fine with that but I'm not . She's not Beyoncé. She can't make up for the lack of hits with stage presence and sold-out Arena Tours.

"Bitch Better Have My Money" has gone GOLD in the UK this week, incredible for such a disappointing chart performance! Damn 2015's chart climate of held-back releases and global releases simultaneously charting
Also, "Where Have You Been" was performed on X Factor last night It's currently #277 on iTunes, I doubt it'll go much higher:

Rihanna's nominated for Favorite Female Artist Soul/R&B at the American Music Awards - her 11th nomination in that category since 2006! The ceremony is on 9th October and she is up against SZA and Ella Mai. She's literally released one song since the last awards and that was just a feature on "Lemon" Hopefully it means that she has a surprise released planned and will premiere the lead from R9 at the event

Impressive for it to still be holding up 3 days later! It's clearly fondly remembered by the public, it's just a shame that they didn't pay it any attention when it was actually pushed as a single
