BuzzJack Music Forum _ Indie, Rock and Alternative _ Norman F****** Rockwell PREDICTION

A poll can be added but I wasn’t sure on the sales brackets to put in.

I’m feeling like UK wise she’s gonna do around 20K which may be enough to just grab #1 I’m not super confident it’s gonna go there but the lowest I can see it entering at is #3.

In the states she could push for over 100K only just though. Taylor will probably block her from getting a US number one as I imagine her week two sales will probably still be high enough to easily keep her at #1.

I'm going to predict a #2 entry with Taylor blocking her in both the UK and US, with sales for 15k for UK and 80-100k for US

A part of me hopes shes get the #1 though sad.gif

A #1 entry with lowish sales

Let's get a poll up!

I think it'll be #2 in UK and US behind Taylor in US and Tool in UK.

I think #1 in the UK and #2 in the US!

No way TOOL would beat Lana in the UK but not the US surely??

I think she actually has a pretty decent shot at #1 in the UK (Taylor's first week sales aren't thaaaat impressive) but probably #3 at best (behind Taylor and TOOL) in the US.

It's only because I saw them as higher on pre orders on amazon and iTunes this week. I have no idea what their fanbase is though.

They do have a fanbase in the UK but it's definitely much bigger in the US (they had nearly the entire top 10 on iTunes when their back catalogue was released on iTunes the other week, also their last album back in 2006 sold 564k in its first week in the US whereas it only entered at #4 in the UK). They might be able to get #1, or at least the highest new entry, in both the US and the UK but it's much more likely in the US.

Amazon: #7 (Tool #2)
iTunes Pre Orders: #2 (Tool #1)
Apple Music: #10

12,710 sold day one without streams UK.

Looks like I’ve underestimated this then. Her highest first week sales since Ultraviolence incoming?

Posted by: Algernon Monqueef 31st August 2019, 06:27 PM

No.1 on both, 45-66k UK, 428k USA!!

Posted by: TheJüpreme 31st August 2019, 07:17 PM

Just bought the album & am streaming it too. She deserves all the success and more! Should be an easyish #1 for her in UK I think. Put it this way, her album was one of only 7 or 8 the supermarket even stocked when I bought it!

Early projection in the US is 75-85k, miles behind TOOL (240-260k). There's no figure given for Taylor but HDD says TOOL will 'maybe' be #1 so safe to assume she's somewhere around that ballpark as well, and last week's #2/3 sold around 75k and will be down this week so will most likely be #3 for Lana. Hope that she will outdo that sales prediction. She's doing great in the UK though!
