Dexton's Top 40 (16/10/2018) (Week 75)



- Birds Of Tokyo have done the unthinkable and reclaimed the #1 position! Previously only Portugal. The Man and Justin Timberlake have done so, with Feel It Still and Filthy respectively. This boost comes with big thanks to a beautiful video, and also Unbreakable has just grown on me even more A fourth week could be on it's way although Rita, Dua, and Imagine Dragons (!) have their eyes on the top too
- Silk City & Dua Lipa leap into the top 5, giving Dua yet another top 5 hit. Also climbing in the top 10 we have Halsey's Without Me (13-8) and 5 Seconds Of Summer's Valentine (14-10). Without Me becomes Halsey's second solo top 10 hit and fourtt overall, after Eastside (#1), Him & I (#8), and Bad At Love (#10).
- A weird string of climbers from #13-#18: Back & Forth (16-13), All I Am (15-14), Just Got Paid (16-15), Zero (28-16), Stay (21-17), and Getaway Car (31-18). Zero is Imagine Dragons' seventh top 20 hit, Stay is Post Malone's sixth, and Getaway Car is Taylor Swift's fifth.
- Little Mix finally released their comeback single (despite Only You being a #8 hit three months ago) and Woman Like Me featuring Nicki Minaj just misses the top 20 and debuts at #21.
- Other new entries come from Netsky & A.CHAL (#29), Vance Joy (#32), The Rubens (#37), and DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, & Ozuna (#39).
- Amy Shark returns to #1 in the albums chart and in doing so blocks Jess Glynne's Always In Between (#2) from the top spot! Otherwise there's a bit of an all-star top 5 with Eminem's Kamikaze, George Ezra's Staying At Tamara's, and Panic! At The Disco's Pray For The Wicked.
- Staying At Tamara's is spending it's 21st non-consecutive week within the Top 5 whilst Pray For The Wicked is in it's 12th
