King Koopa himself is out in a respectable 3rd place. The great villain of the Mushroom Kingdom and constant foe to defeat has done well beating all but 2 of the good guys. He made his first appearance many moons ago and has tried (and failed) to capture his beloved Princess Peach a heap of times, appearing in nearly all Mario games since. He's a regular in the spin-off games, often being lumbered as the heavy, powerful brute of the pack. I think his shining moment was in Mario Sunshine where we learnt more about the character behind the monster and were introduced to his child - a softer side was seen while still trying to vehemently capture Peach and rule Mushroom Kingdom.

And talking of the princess, here she is taking the silver medal (that's GOOD Lotti, ok!). Princess Peach for MANY of the games is a lamenting damsel in distress with little to no involvement in the games except being captured and waiting aimlessly to be rescued by her knight in shining dungarees but she has amassed a huge cult following on here, mainly due to her dainty and pinky performance in Mario Kart. She packs a good punch in the Smash Bros games and can hold her own it's just she often chooses to sit back and wait to be rescued :') The love interest of Mario, she eventually made it to the big time with her own headlining game, 'Super Princess Peach'. Well done on second place ~

WHICH MEANS HE'S DONE IT. The coy dinosaur that hatched from a coloured egg many years ago, evolved into a lovable, cute and daring companion to Mario. Although one of many in his species, the lovable tike has served as a long time companion to the good guys of Mushroom Kingdom, always there to offer his back to ride Mario away to safety. He has starred in his own (INCREDIBLE) game series, 'Yoshi's Island' which is a gloriously crafted and thought up side-scrolling game and he's made it in most Mario series games since his debut. A playable character (and popular choice) in many of the spin-off games, his cute and charming demeanor has won over fans and posters alike as he named the MOST FAVOURITE character of the Super Mario Bros series

SO all that leaves me to say is THANK YOU to everyone that voted and participated in these polls. I hope you enjoyed them! It was very different to the Roald Dahl ones but i'm glad they had such a big response regardless May have an idea or two for a new series to begin eventually so WATCH THIS SPACE.
