When can we expect most countries to confirm participation?

Some might not even be confirmed until towards the end of the year.
Hopefully we'll get Liechtenstein confirming their first participation at long last - I read that they're looking to commemorate their 300th birthday (or another significant age) with their first participation. Though of course they went to in the 70s but it never actually made it to the contest...
Though the destination of the contest may put a spanner in the works of that!

Mostly during the summer month's with the last confirmations happening in October, when the deadline is (usally). EBU confirm participating countries in December. That's the last chance for the broadcasters to withdrew without consequences. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Excellent news, I'd have hated for my San Marino flag to sit at home going to waste

Eurovision.tv has today confirmed the list of 42 countries taking part, with Bulgaria’s withdrawal being the only change from the 2018 contest

At least there'll be even semis this year, still a shame Bulgaria withdrew.
