BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ YTD T40 Albums (with estimated sales)

Posted by: vidcapper 21st July 2018, 08:38 AM

V2 :

YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier.

1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for.
2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range
3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most)
4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks.
5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split.
6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it)

Thank you.

Pleased to see that Shawn Mendes has reached 60k and the Top 40, he needs to push his next single (whether it's Nervous or not idk at this point) when he comes over for those appearances in August/September. I could see Youth really taking off with a bit of a push.

Yeah I am thinking Youth as the next single to get a push here. Kinda feel the moment has passed with nervous now, with the video being out for so long, but would love to be wrong.

Hoping he can at least break 100k this year.

Camila Cabello and Kylie are almost neck and neck on sales.

I mean, it depends what he/his team want at the end of the day. Youth is their best chance of getting another hit from this album. It's the most commercial sounding song on the album, features Khalid who's becoming more and more popular and with the right marketing/video/promotion considering the songs subject matter it could easily become a very big hit.

But he's gearing up for a colossal world tour next year and has a pretty filled schedule with all these festival performances, so I'm not sure. In My Blood was a respectable hit but a significantly smaller one than his previous four (despite peaking five places higher than Mercy, I think it's well below it in sales) and the album has performed moderately so in terms of tracking his progression into the "big leagues" this era is in need of a bit of a push

I'm also delighted Camila's managed to go Gold with her album. I was sure she'd fade away after leaving Fifth Harmony so the fact she's come out and become more successful than they ever were is very nice to see.

Camila has done very well with her first solo era.
I am unsure of the success of her solo career and Fifth Harmony in America, but in the UK she is performing better as a solo artist.

Why doesn't she release another single?

Blimey..... who'd have thought Years & Years would have such a long way to go to get in the top 40 albums! sad.gif
