BuzzJack Music Forum _ Dance _ Damn Hot - A Thousand Miles

Posted by: Midge 27th March 2018, 02:50 AM

For me it's a complete coincidence that this has come out - watched White Chicks for the first time in ages when I was first in Australia with my friend and looked to see if there was an updated version of "A Thousand Miles". Anyway, today I log on to Facebook and Ministry of Sound have posted a new release, and what is it? A dance cover of "A Thousand Miles"! I wonder if it'll take off - the song is incredibly popular even still thanks to White Chicks.

Jesus christ is nothing sacred for generic dance producers

I’m perfectly fine with I Want It That Way being remixed... just not this. Leave this alone sleep.gif

I was enjoying it until the drop, damn that is a nasty drop!

It sounds like current dance/pop music threw up over it doesn't it? It'll be very of its time but enjoyable enough.

Nope.

Don't like the original and this isn't very good either.

Note who produced this. Leave it very much alone.

FFS. Can dance producers please, please, PLEASE stop going after the classics and actually come up with some original material please?

YES.

Genuinely I don't see the point in being this lazy and just adding noise and drops over a classic with a weak vocalist, write a proper song that fits around your production and it inevitably will work out better.
