QUOTE The series, a reboot of the film's continuity, follows the passengers of the Snowpiercer, a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe carrying the remnants of humanity seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland. Snowpiercer questions class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival. Starts in the US on 17 May, airs on Netflix 25 May with the first two episodes, and each episode released weekly after that. The show is based on the 2013 film starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton and directed by Bong Joon-Ho aka the guy behind Parasite! |

Loved the film so really hyped and excited to go back into that dystopian world again! Interested to see what they do with it, hopefully it’s a different tale (not watched the trailer).

We've started watching this... not sure what I think so far but we're only three episodes in so I'll stick with it. It kinda feels a bit more trashy than I was expecting and I don't particularly care for any of the characters as yet either.

Yeh I watched the full series but it was more in the background whilst I was doing other stuff oops. I wasn’t drawn to it in the same way I was the film. I agree with you that I didn’t care for any of the characters. Despite the great concept, they managed to turn it into a faceless random American TV drama I felt (aside from Episode 9)

Only watched the first episode so far and it was okay, the daughter seems like she could be a promising character. I'm not overly interested in this main train vs back train plot though, I'd rather they all just integrated in the main train with Melanie and the Wilfords trying to win people back over to gain control back. Layton's character doesn't work as well for me now he's in charge, it just doesn't seem to really suit him.
