Day 1: Favourite episode from Series 1: The Empty Child
Day 2: Favourite companion: Donna Noble
Day 3: Favourite episode from Series 2: The Impossible Planet
Day 4: Favourite monster: The Silence
Day 5: Favourite episode from Series 3: Blink
Day 6: Favourite spin-off: Torchwood
Day 7: Favourite episode from Series 4: Midnight - an amazing series but this is easy, absolute claustrophobic perfection! The Doctor at his absolute most powerless.
Day 8: Best planet to have been shown on Doctor Who: Gallifrey
Day 9: Favourite episode from 2008-10 & 2013 Specials: The Waters of Mars
Day 10: An underrated episode: Kill the Moon
Day 11: Favourite episode from Series 5: The Time of Angels: it’s too hard! It was between this The Eleventh Hour, Amy’s Choice, Vincent & The Doctor & The Pandorica Opens! Love that this completely upscales Blink though, taking it in the complete opposite direction to a big blockbuster AND we get the return of River as she properly cements herself in the Doctor Who universe and it means we’re teased lots of future possibilities. Love the expansion of the angels too with the image of an angel becoming an angel. Best sequence from the series is definitely Vincent in the gallery so shout out to that wub.gif

Day 13: Favourite episode from Series 6: The Doctor's Wife Beautifully acted, a real sense of danger and some real fears, especially with Amy and Rory's storyline, something that shouldn't have worked in theory but it really did! heart.gif

Day 13: Favourite episode from Series 6 - The Girl Who Waited
Day 14: Funniest episode - Partners in Crime
Day 15: Favourite episode from Series 7 - The Power of Three

Gonna do a few to try and stay as on track as possible. laugh.gif

The Girl Who Waited is among my all-time favourite episode of the show, so unsurprising it's my favourite from series 6. wub.gif Such a beautiful and tragic story. Tom MacRae really should have written more for Doctor Who (or, alternatively, been showrunner instead of a certain Chris Chibnall).

Partners in Crime is just hilarious - the moment the Doctor and Donna finally meet again, Miss Foster, the Adipose. It's all amazing. Everything about the DoctorDonna's relationship is amazing though.

Shoutout to The Power of Three here magic.gif I feel like I need to watch series 7 again to really form a concrete opinion, but I just love how Torchwood-esque The Power of Three was. Yeah, it had a very rushed ending but overall it was so enjoyable and a great last hurrah for Amy and Rory before we got to The Angels Take Manhattan. One of the few things Chibnall's done well (or Moffat if you consider how many times the script may have been changed x)

Day 14: Funniest episode: The Power of Three, I just love that cube in the recording studio with the Birdy song playing <3 There's also some really good interaction between the main three companions here, not a perfect episode, but it did make me laugh.

Shoutout to Orphan 55 as well, although quite a lot of it was unintentional.

Day 15: Favourite episode from Series 7: Asylum of the Daleks - i feel this gets a lot of hate but I absolutely love it. it’s a full on romp and manages to actually produce some Daleks scenes that are scary (love the ‘eggs eggs eggs’ part in particular). It also looks visually amazing and the incredible Clara/Oswin twist - she absolutely shines in this episode. One issue is the forced Amy/Rory storyline which doesn’t feel believable and isn’t handled the way it could have been.

Day 15: Favourite episode from Series 7 - The Power of Three
Day 16: Best relationship between two characters - 12th Doctor / Clara
Day 17: Favourite episode from Series 8 - Deep Breath
Day 18: Favourite guest/recurring character - Jackie Tyler

The relationship between 12 and Clara is just one of my favourite things ever. wub.gif From the turbulence at the very beginning, to building up respect throughout, for it to come crashing down again, then forgive again, then really find their groove in series 9. While 10 / Donna is a comical duo that works incredibly well, Moffat really hit the nail on the head with 12's humour and Clara countering that too.

Dark Water / Death in Heaven would have been my top pick for series 8, however I always feel Death in Heaven lets the side down. Dark Water manages to set everything up really well, and the pay-off is a little disappointing in the end. Deep Breath wins for being a fantastic introduction to 12, with so many hilarious moments throughout and it just being so enjoyable <3

And Jackie needs no explanation.

Day 15: Favourite episode from Series 7: The Angels Take Manhattan very patchy series (though next one was much worse), but I always love the angels and though their abilities got just a tad ridiculous here (THE STATUE OF LIBERTY AS AN ANGEL?!), it was a beautiful and tragic end for Amy and Rory.

Matching with Klaus on this one, always love it! The Oswin twist was genius and it's so rewatchable too. Angels is a close second, two massive gems in what is a very ropey series.

Day 16: Best relationship between two characters - Ten & Donna
Day 17: Favourite episode from Series 8: Flatline - Series 8 is genuinely the most underrated series for me. I think it has a lot of flaws (as well as my least fave episode of the entire show which is next on my ultimate rewatch and I just cba), particularly with the characterisation of the Doctor and perhaps too much of a focus on the Clara/Danny relationship which can get in the way of the actual stories but there's some real gems in there that no one mentions! Flatline is one of those, such a real inventive concept and some incredible visuals. I remember it and Mummy... got loads of praise on first airing but they sadly feel fairly forgotten about now.

Day 20: An episode that makes you cry / feel emotional - The Waters of Mars
Day 21: Favourite episode from Series 10 - World Enough and Time / The Doctor Falls

Despite having a few duds, I found it difficult to choose my absolute favourite from series 9. Obviously Heaven Sent and Hell Bent would be up there too, and Face the Raven, but The Zygon Invasion / The Zygon Inversion was just so refreshing, and a politically-charged episode done well.

There are scenes in The Waters of Mars that just never fail to make me tear up, get goosebumps all over and feel so emotional any time I watch it. cry.gif
