Little Mix take the number one spot!

Congratulations to Little Mix who jump 5 places to take the number one spot in its seventh week.

The track, which originally spent 2 weeks at #2 being denied the top spot by Glitterball, jumps to number one following its UK release, where it has reached number one.

Shine, one of 17 tracks by Years & Years in this week's chart, is the highest of those seventeen at #2, falling one place from the top spot last week. Sigma and Ella Henderson remain at #3 with Glitterball.

Following the release of Communion, King climbs 3 places to return to the top 5 at #4.

Don't Be So Hard On Yourself by Jess Glynne falls 3 places to #5.

Don't Give Up On Us progresses 3 places to reack a new peak of #6, while Body Talk makes a u-turn to get back into the top 10 at #7. Photograph falls 4 places to #8, Mirror Man slides one place to #9, and What Kind Of Man rounds off the top 10.

Other entries

Years & Year's Communion becomes the second album to have all of its tracks enter the chart upon its release, Chapter One being the first. Subsequently, they represent over two thirds of this week's entries.
Along with Shine and King, Worship (which jumps 49-16), Foundation (which jumps 41-30), Eyes Shut (which jumps 53-35) and Desire (which jumps 83-38, this week's biggest climb), there are 11 new entries this week from Communion: Ties (#17), Real (#32), Memo (#40), Border (#46), Take Shelter (#50), I Want To Love (#55), Ready For You (#58), Gold (#66), the acoustic version of King (#68), Without (#71) and 1977 (#77)

The only other new entry this week comes from Lana Del Rey, whose 2011 hit Video Games enters at #59.

There are also three songs returning to the top 100 after absences of varying length. The highest, Massive Attack's Teardrop, is a beneficiary of my weekend in Paris. Used as background music for a exposition at the Palais de la Découverte (which is absolutely fantastic, if you are able to speak French I highly recommend it, it's definitely worth the 13 euros admission fee) and re-enters at #74.

Blame It On Me re-enters at #85, while Glow returns to the top 100 at #99.

High Climbers and New Peaks

Birdy flies up 5 places to #12, while Not Letting Go climbs 3 places to #13.

Kygo and Parson James reach a new peak of #15, climbing five places from #20.

Justin Timberlake climbs seven places to enter the top 40 with Mirrors at #39.

Bad Blood gets a new peak of #62, while You Really Got Me improves its peak by one place, from #82 to #81.

The biggest faller this week comes from Rudimental and Foy Vance with Never Let You Go, which falls 37 places to #100.
