So we're nearly a third of the way through the chart year, and so far have you preferred this to 2016 in terms of chart music?

For me it's a total no-brainer - this year has been AMAZING for music and there's been some fab surprises charts-wise! I feel like the public have been taking to tracks faster and there's been a lot more properly epic songs in the charts, most songs last year were far too basic and slow. I think the fact we could have a Spanish track in the top 40 next week sums it up for me - so exciting for the music industry yahoo.gif

My faves in terms of being something interesting in the charts~
Disciples - On My Mind
Jason Derulo - Swalla (feat. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign)
Lorde - Green Light
Kendrick Lamar - HUMBLE.
J HUS - Did You See
Luis Fonsi - Despacito (feat. Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber)
The xx - On Hold

Opinions on 2017 then?

2017 would be FAR better than 2016 was at this point if we take out the album track invasions, which have made a total mockery of the chart I think. That aside, it does feel like we've had a quicker turnover, particularly in the top 10 which is good at least.

At this stage of the year (which is the fairest way of comparing) I'd say 2017 so far.
