I’ve been watching some of Dannii’s performances from the iconic Girl era on YouTube - here’s one of her performing Disrememberance on Live & Kicking, such a great song but it seems at odds with performing it to teenagers on a Saturday morning TV show.
I guess that was Dannii’s problem with her music - they never knew how to quite market her, to the kids, the gays, the dance enthusiasts... |

Another reason to love the mythical pop star known as Danushka:

I actually prefer Dannii's Mardi Gras performance to Kylie's.

Neon nights is amazing and the only time I preferred her to Kylie as we got Body Language 🤢🤢🤢 I find Dannii back catalogue very strong actually, my top 3 would be Disrememberance, This is out and generally Neon Nights as a project haha

Danni always struggled to keep the momentum going with her music career and this by large was for various reasons. The lack of follow up to Neon Nights which was her standout era was the final nail in her music career

Ya labels let her down, dannii and another fave of mine Gina G really were let down by signing to the wrong labels. Dannii scoring a top 10 album and top 10 singles with neon nights felt she finally cracked it.i also had high hopes her x factor time would have led to more aswell.

Gina G was also signed to Eternal - the same label that killed the ‘Girls era for Dannii

I wonder did dannii get financially screwed by eternal like Gina g did as Gina g has often said she never got a penny from her work and ooh aah was a massive hit.

It was the writers of Ooh Aah that screwed Gina G over and then she lost a lot trying to fight them for royalties however Eternal were terrible at marketing their acts especially when it came to albums as the sales for Gina G’s and Dannii’s showed

Seen this a few times and its goid although I was disappointed with this is it, it was very flat and it's one of my faves by dannii I think considering she hasn't really performed live much over the last few years she did good. I saw her at Heaven in 2015, considering that was the first time she'd even performed live in 9 years she put on such a spectacular show. |

Fresh was a far bigger seller than girl but was still disappointing plus it missed the top 10. I was so disappointed it only got to number 12 on the back of three top 10 hits. With dannii it was shocking how bad girl performed after the success of all i wanna do, top 40 was the very least that was expected for the album.

From her recent performances, I saw the 2017 opening shows she did for Take That which were great. She sang live for all of them and sounded fab. Would be great if she did some more mini concerts, she clearly has a love for music which is the driving force for most of her music activity nowadays.

The headline tour she done for ‘Girl’ was amazing - really small venues but you could tell she really enjoyed it and the interaction with the fans, she always called everyone to come to the front of the stage when she performed ‘Its Amazing’
