I've noticed recently we've seen a lot of duplicate threads being made. Whilst the dance mods are happy to merge them (and it is part of our job) could we please all do a quick check before starting a new thread either by using the BuzzJack search function or Command+F/Control+F? It only takes a few seconds and will make the forum a lot tidier and run smoother.

Could not agree more with this. It's usually my threads that are being duplicated
I know I make a lot but it's not hard to just search to check |

Can I also point out that control+f isn't usually the best option as most duplicated threads are more than 1 page down - that's why they get duplicated in the first place

The search function internally is pretty shabby tbf I find. The best way to search for threads is use the Google "site" search function i.e. in the search bar type site:buzzjack.com: (and then the thread/song), much more reliable

As Dan mentioned, there's also a search box at the bottom of every forum which'll bring up the results you need. I know, I use it whenever I think of creating a new thread I was just mentioning that control+f shouldn't be used as an alternative to the search function as it would only bring up results on the first page |
