Harry Styles put an end to Ed Sheeran's 13 weeks at #1 last week, but will he be able to hold him off for a second week? Perhaps Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson's collaboration 'Symphony' can climb to the top spot instead? Or maybe Lady Gaga's surprise release of 'The Cure' will be victorious? Elsewhere in the chart, Cheat Codes & Demi Lovato's 'No Promises', Anton Powers & Pixie Lott's 'Baby', G-Eazy & Kehlani's 'Good Life' may climb into the Top 40, as well as comeback single 'Lights Out' from Royal Blood potentially debuting.
Despite its physical release being a week away, Kendrick Lamar's HUMBLE. looks set to make a big debut thanks to downloads and streams. However, Ed Sheeran's album sales are still riding high - will it be enough to dethrone him? Also expect new entries from John Mayer's The Search For Everything and Tinie Tempah's Youth.

NO OTHER SALES INFO
Don't expect an update tomorrow due to it being a Bank Holiday. Earliest midweek updates may be Wednesday.
John Mayer to slay please. New album is SUBLIME.
I expect Ed Sheeran will re-claim the number one spot with 'Shape of You'.
I reckon we'll have a debut from Lady Gaga, I'd say she'll manage a low top 20 position! I wouldn't doubt Andra Day going top 40 either to be honest! New additions to the top 40 will also include J Hus, Louisa Johnson, Kendrick Lamar, Cheat Codes and mayyybbbee Anton Powers & Pixie Lott!
Kendrick Lamar will debut at #2 and Tinie Tempah may struggle for a top 20 position if iTunes is anything to go by.
"Heatstroke" will drop out of the top 40 on Friday because people aren't moving on from "Slide", even R1 have moved on from "Slide"
I think Shape of You will go to #1 this week, which will be helped by an extra day off. And next week we might finally see Clean Bandit at #1 but for that they have to hold up and not start falling in sales/streams.
Predictions for Gaga? I'm saying #18!
I might have to say it could just scrape top 40, just depends if the track doesn't trail off later in the week.
Capital generally moves slower even with Calvin!
Hmm doesn't sound like there's a chart update unless Panjabi MC is in the top 40
(I did it on karaoke last night so I probably made it go viral)
I'm predicting #24 for Gaga btw.
It does seem to be holding up suprisingly well on iTunes though, so who knows.
I would have said Gaga would be outside the top 30 but she's holding up better than I though. Still don't see her breaking top 20 though.

Ouch for Tinie, he shouldn't have kept delaying the Release Date.
Oh get lost Ed.
Hopefully Gaga ends up in the top 20.
It all depends if it'll continue rising on Spotify.
Great, so are Ed is probably a shoe in for number one 🙄
Can't Ed just delete himself? I hate returns to #1 and I hate SOY. SOY returning to #1 is not good news.
What song holds the record for most (non-consecutive) weeks at No. 1? Something from the 50s/60s?
It would be good to get some sales information, 'Symphony' is gaining on 'Shape Of You' on Spotify and increasing their lead on iTunes so i wouldnt be surprised if there's only a couple of hundred sales between them! I'm guessing next week will be their last chance
Gaga going for that top 20 placement!
That's bad for Tinie. Serves him right for constantly postponing the release date
Bit gutted ot see John not top 10 but he dropped this album with little to no promo.
Harry Styles - Sign of the Times (5k behind #1)
wow
Can Ed please bugger off, and let other decent music get there, instead of monopolising it week on week.
It just feels like other artists are getting left out, Jax Jones, Clean Bandit, Rag 'N' Bone Man etc etc etc. We could have had around 5 to 6 different #1s by now, instead of 2, and its not even funny, its just boring and lame. Sorry had to get that off my chest.
Omfg is Lady GaGa's Beyoncčd release no.1 yet???!!!!?
Omg at Gaga, that is impressive considering it's not a lead single and only has 2 days of chart sales!
I still feel like Clean Bandit can sneak #1. Lady Gaga should make the top 20 - amazing news
Can someone tell me if Voice winner Mo's EP is eligible for the Albums chart?
It has 5 tracks, but 2 of them are different versions of the same song.
Also, the EP is priced at Ł2.49
Getting my 10 streaming plays in per day for Clean Bandit - Anyone to be #1 rather than Ed returning to the top *.*
If 25 Buzzjackers in the UK stream Symphony all day and night for next two days it should be #1
Make a playlist of Symphony and Sign of the Times (or even better, The Cure)
Nobody knows at this point if The Cure is just a standalone track or if it's the start of a new project from Gaga right now, but I'm leaning towards the former right now.
Hopefully Clean Bandit can still sneak #1 by the end of the week, it must be very close between the top 2.
MTV's Chart Update has Shape down to 4 and Disciples up to 5
So which data are they using this week ?
Why do the OCC have Symphony as the midweek-#1 on MTV?
Disciples could only be at 5 in the sales-only chart, so I assume they're using that one.
None of you mentioned what position is Gaga at today and I can't find the midweek chart anywhere, so I'd appreciate a little help pls
She's at 25, see page 2
Damn harry and the fluke stopping ed from breaking the record under the old ratio he would be marching drake this week
You've probably seen already but the Trending Chart gives away a few more midweek postions:
15. Rag'n'Bone Man - Skin
16. Little Mix - No More Sad Songs
17. Jason Derulo - Swalla
19. Lorde - Green Light
24. Disciples - On My Mind
35. J Hus - Did You See
I'm surprised Will Joseph Cook's album isn't Top 40 in the mids. Anyone have any info on how far down it is?

That's quite interesting that Kendrick's last album largely shocked everyone by debuting at #1, now his stock is much higher yet this album won't be. OK different competition now of course but how much did TPAB open on if anyone knows?
I really don't get it, if you look at the digital sales data, Symphony is doing at least 1.5K more than Shape per day... while on Spotify Shape is 500 sales ahead maximum (combined)... I'm aware he has many remixes and might be just outside the top 200 on Spotify but even considering all of them, I cannot see how Shape is so far ahead
Is... is Will Joseph Cook somebody famous then?
Seriously, I know I'm old and out of touch but his name rings no bells at all with me.
The Cure has been playlisted on Capital. Hopefully that will help it out a bit!
The Album Chart never fails to surprise me. The Hunna manage a Top 15 album and Will Joseph Cook doesn't get into the Top 80
Wonderful to see Take That still top 5 in the albums. I was slightly worried it would freefall this week.
Just seen a Will Joseph Cook album trailer on YouTube - it must be disappointing for him given the amount he's pushing the album!

I will be absolutely GUTTED if Shape Of You makes it to #1 again. Please, Symphony. PLEASE.
Go SOY we need a phresh number one not that non event thing from last week
Gaga and Zara Larsson doing very well
1 Ed Sheeran - Shape of You (30,068) +6.2k
2 Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson - Symphony (28,492) +5.9k
3 Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl (27,889) +5.6k

Where's Chainsmokers on albums?
Oh BORE OFF ED SHEERAN. No at if actually being yesterday's biggest seller🙄
I just don't see how. All the calculations I've done have had Clean Bandit as being ahead?
Its the remixes
If he has 5 remixes beyond the top 200 on Spotify with 20k streams each per day thay can account for 100k extra streams per day
Everyone underestimates Apple Music...
Moana's album in its 20th week on the chart is selling more than Tinie's.
Dare I ask if you have any info on Will Joseph Cook's album today?
I can't believe 'Shape Of You' is actually gonna deny 'Symphony'. I am actually FURIOUS.
Ah I really thought 'Symphony' would have sneaked it this week, I think it will be around 800 copies behind overall! Next week will be its final opportunity! #SymphonyStreamingParty
Shape of You lingering around like a fart in a lift. Symphony is so deserving of a #1! And would be Zara's first!
Poor Louisa
Much prefer Galway Girl to SOY now but can't see it getting even one week at No.1.
Where do you guys think Shawn Mendes can get to officially tomorrow?
Just wondering, since Niall managed #100 after only getting to #2 on iTunes (with similar amount of time)
I think Shawn has a chance of debuting in the top 100 tomorrow tbh! Very low down though.
I'd say Shawn will enter at around #95 and then possible experience the biggest climb within the top 100 the chart has ever seen!
Didn't Charlie Puth jump from like 95-1 with Marvin Gaye in 2015? Or was it from a bit higher than that.
And Pixie Lott still has the record within the top 75 right?
Biggest climbs from EveryHit -
Biggest Jump
The biggest jump within the Top 40 was by Pink's "So What", leaping from no. 38 (only two days worth of downloads contributed to that postion due to an unconventional release date to the online stores) to no. 1 (w/e 11th Oct 2008). No record could match that leap in the chart's 56 year history. The previous record had been held by Embrace's single "World At Your Feet" which jumped from number 38 to number 3 in June 2006 (35 places). It resulted from the single being available purely as a download one week (at no. 38) to a 'full' release (on CD) the following week, which also coincided with the start of the World Cup (the single was the official England song for Germany 2006).
The biggest leap by a song appearing in precisely the same format(s) in successive charts is a 34 places for "You Drive Me Crazy" by Shakin' Stevens (no. 39 to no. 5 in May 1981).
Biggest jump within the Top 75 was "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy featuring Jimmy Page which leapt from no. 75 to no. 2 in Aug 1998, though this involved the conversion from imported copies to British releases.
The biggest 'authentic' jump within the Top 75 was by Steps in Jan 2001. Some stores mistakingly releasing the single a day early and it sold sufficient copies to make no. 72 in the chart. The following week it was released fully and rose to no. 2
Didnt Westlife go 200-1?
