Caught bits of this so far, could be quite interesting although we don't know how reliable the figures are. Given it's Kerrang I'd imagine their definition of a "rock hit" won't be as loose as the OCC's, I can't see "Hey, Soul Sister" featuring for example

Decode sold more than Ignorance? Woah.
I think I was on Compare My Radio the other day. And it's not surprising to see that The Only Exception is top (apart from Monster of course. ) followed by Brick By Boring Brick and Playing God. What I was surprised most about though is that Decode had just 1 play in the last month (even That's What You Get and Careful had more...)...which I think is a bit strage considerring it's possibly one of the most well-liked and biggest selling songs.

Prize on offer if you can guess what #1 is! (Though Ive already seen the contdown before...)

BOLLOCKS, "The Only Exception" outsold "Misery Business". Not cool, I just hope they come back with something next time that sells better. Should be a given if the lead single goes top 10.

Shocked Ignorance has sold less than Decode! Do you have any idea what the cutoff point for this was?

Also, great sales for Tribute Was that never released here or did it just flop? That's one of my mum's favourite songs (my mum also likes Eminem, she doesn't really have typical 'mum' tastes ) and I used to see the video all the time. And that was a while after 2002 as well, since I was 6 in 2002.

There are a lot of older songs that are new purely because they would never have been played on Kerrang! three years ago but they've sinced widened their playlist so the likes of Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Uncle Cracker, Bon Jovi etc. They would never have been played on the station three years ago.

Seven Nation Army, Numb, In The End, Uprising, Feeling Good and Club Foot amongst others have sold very well considering their initial relatively unspectacular peak (and in the White Stripes case, chart run), download sales must've had quite an effect on them

I'm fairly sure that Manic Street Preachers - Masses Against the Classes was played on Kerrang so I dont know why they excluded it. It sold 75,000 in week one so it must have surely made 90,000 before the end of the decade, even taking into account that it was deleted in week 1.

This appears to be the same as the rock chart broadcast in June of this year; I recorded the top twenty from 4Music.

Sales are to 7th May 2011 (chart week ending 14th May 2011).

I saw that '21 Guns' by Green Day and 'Bubbles' by Biffy Clyro were on ~130k. That's great for the former considering it peaked at #36 (it's certainly my favourite Green Day track out of those I've heard ).
