I didn't think it was as bad as everyone was making it out to be? It definitely was more instant than Rogue One for me (that took a second watch for me to like it) and MILES ahead of The Forces Awakens and The Last Jedi. I was particularly shook by the ending with Qi'ra contacting Maul, that was very unexpected as I hadn't seen anything about it spoiled online. On that note I will be very interested how that plays out given the various directions that character has been taken in since being introduced in TPM and the wider universe in the clone wars. I am slightly kicking myself at how I didn't predict he was coming though after the name Crimson Dawn is quite obvious as to why it is called that given his appearance laugh.gif I do think that the film did leave Solo's mysterious character intact without giving too much away as well.

I actually loved this! It was really good fun and all the planets, species, characters mentioned were fantastic continuity for those of us that follow Star Wars closely. I was worried but this definitely exceeded my expectations and Alden was a very convincing Han Solo to me.

I particularly enjoyed this as well - all those nods to other planets like Glee Anselm, Felucia and Corellia were great wub.gif

I don't think it was bad. It's fine. It's very classic Star Wars and could have existed easily decades ago with little change. I get why people like it.

For me, Rogue One and The Last Jedi expand upon Star Wars and push it in a new direction. I also get why people don't like them, but they're far more interesting to me. Even if The Last Jedi made some mistakes, at least it tried something than just serving the same.

Finally got round to seeing this, I had low expectations after the backlash, box office performance and everything else. But I thought it was really good - some good casting, a fun movie (slightly overlong), good Easter Eggs. I just think it got lost in when it was marketed. Obviously it was well documented there were issues with the production and it was certainly released too close to The Last Jedi. I think if the film was released in Christmas it would have done much better. Quite frustrating as I really enjoyed the film and would dig to see Darth Maul back on screen again.
