Like the other INC threads this is for off topic waffle
plus some vaguely Rita Ora related topics.
Two things that come to mind for me.....
I do really like the the way Nick Grimshaw pronounces Rita Ora, its like Ri'a Oa'a
Rita was previously to me a name associated with older people (Rita Sullivan etc) was actually surprised when a young pop star called Rita first became popular!
Has this replaced another artist forum or is it brand new?
^ It's taken the place of Take That, which has been merged with Robbie Williams!
P.S.
A look. *.*
^ genuinely iconic
I wanted to make sure this got a mention in here - 'Anywhere' has just broken the record for most weeks at #1 on the Buzzjack Multichart! It's been #1 for 12 weeks, beating the previous record of 11 by Adele's 'Hello'.
See for yourself! http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209203
This should be called DoINC It tbh
ComINC Home
This is so f***ing iconic
Just saw on instagram that RAYE is supporting her on tour!
omg!!!! YASS
So shook 😭😭
Woooo, that makes me even more excited to see the live show now. I'm especially excited to hear "Decline" live I hope they do a duet together in the main segment of the show too *.*
She's just announced a tour date in Dundee at the end of July
Rita will be performing at the ECHO Awards in Germany on 11th April where she is nominated for Best International Female Artist.
Can we just?
Rita with a fan
!!! The best caption I've read so far 😂 I saw one about Nicki asking Rita about Cardi's verse on "Girls" earlier
LovInc the new thread title guys!
The fact that the photographers asked for a picture of Rita alone and wanted Nicki to move!!!! LMAOOO
Rita has said that big news is coming tomorrow - I think it'll be for her 2019 tour.
She was sitting across from me tonight at Blood Orange’s shepherd’s bush empire show 😭
Rita is a guest captain on tonight's Celebrity Juice!
Need to catch up with that *.*
Rita is performing at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball on 8th December.
She appeared on This Morning briefly with Cara Delevigne to talk about beauty.
Yet another international performance announced! She'll be a the ARIA Awards in Australia on 28th November.
Devil works hard but Rita’s team work harder.
Rita will be a guest judge on the upcoming season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars! It starts on 14th December and will have ~8 episodes of so, so I imagine we'll see her episode in January.
Oh my god we have decided to stan forever
Rita's performance of George Michael's "Freedom! '90" from Children in Need Rocks:
Loved the gospel choir!
Happy 28th birthday Rita!!!
Rita's cover of "Last Christmas" from the Live Lounge appears on the BBC's new Christmas album:

Absolutely SMASHED Jingle Bell Ball this year!
Rita has done a parody of well known Christmas songs with YouTuber Lilly Singh
Double Brit nominee for Best British Video for both For You and Let You Love Me! A shame she couldn't get a Best British Female nomination over the vile combo of Anne-Marie and Jess Glynne but it still makes up for the snubs last year. She won't win unfortunately as it's fanbase voted but For You probably stands the best chance due to the Liam/1D fans.
Disappointed she was snubbed for Best Female :/
Hopefully the 1D fans will come through and help her win the Best Video award!
Rita's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars will be on next Friday night/Saturday morning!
The voting for British Video at the Brits is now open!
Hashtag #BritVidRitaOra to vote for Let You Love Me and #BritVidLiamRita to vote for For You on Twitter!
You can vote once for each video every 24 hours. The vote closes on 15th February
Rita's been announced for Radio 1's Big Weekend for the millionth year in a row! Sean Paul is performing on the same day as her so could we be seeing them perform their collab then?
She’s performing at Soccer Aid tonight which is being screened on ITV.
Not sure on what she’s performing but she’s got a half time slot.
I am a huge fan of Rita but her last few singles which have been features have flopped! I dont get why as they are good songs. Have people got fed up with her music or just not connecting to the music?
Hellooo. We have a Rita Ora forum!
But as for her collabs "flopping".. blame Joseph x he jinxed her x
Let You Love Me was a massive hit at the end of last year...
She's only released 1 of 'her' singles since, and that was post-album and there wasn't much promo. Carry On with Kygo didn't flop either, and it's too early to tell for Tiesto & Jonas Blue's Ritual.
Rita is rumoured to be one of the judges on ITV's The Masked Singer!
And now officially announced! The US version was fun so hopefully this will be good!
She absolutely SMASHED the Jingle Bell Ball last night!!! She had the crowd in the palm of her hand and delivered a killer set The songs she performed:
Let You Love Me
Your Song
I Will Never Let You Down
Ritual
Lonely Together
Anywhere
Petition for Rita to record a cover version of AIWFCIY plz x
Her voice <3
Rita has joined the line up for Gagas benefit concert!
One world Together At Home.
She’s just announced it on her Facebook page.
She should definitely be shown on the BBC one show in the UK!
Someone posted this on r/popheads, I don't have a clue what's going on
thats def a strange post, hard to know what its all about.
There’s other posts on his account too regarding Rita and money.
A bit odd to think of someone sending Rita money like I’d have assumed she wasn’t in need of cash off some random on Twitter.
The account from when I looked at it just now only has one follower too. A bit strange indeed whether there is more to it we may find out we always do with celeb sagas but who knows.
Kind of bad if on the off-chance that is genuine, and he's just posted her home address on the internet.
Nothing more on this since makes it more peculiar.
She's getting a LOT of bad press for her birthday party. Oooops.
Something positive- shes back on our screens from Boxing Day with the Masked Singer premier!
Absolutely disgusting from Rita! The backlash is throughly deserved.
Do you lot reckon she is now permanently cancelled?
I agree the backlash is deserved, its so unfair on the huge amount of people who are trying there very best to stick to every rule so that we can hopefully keep the virus at bay. Very selfish move from Rita i have to say and i have lost alot of respect for her on the back of it.
It's the hypocrisy I have a problem with, after spending most of the first lockdown encouraging people to stop the spread on social media and by selling merchandise.
Now she has the arrogance to put the blame on whoever it was that tipped the media/police. You got caught out. You were at fault. Accept it and move on.
Shouldn't have been idiotic enough to post it on social media.
Terribly selfish of Rita, highly disapponting.
I know the press will print versions of stories but the latest indicates Rita is more pissed off that one of her friends may have reported her or someone who wasn't invited was pissed off and tipped the guards and journalists off. This sort of thing wont help her cause, she just needs to take pure ownership of her mistake.
It goes from bad to worse, it transpires she should have been in quarantine as she'd flown to Egypt a week before the birthday party.
Oh Rita
Really embarrasing actions from her when others have said, people have given up SO much. This paired with the cringefest TV ad, How To Be Lonely, it has not been a good year for her and I know she came back well last time but I really struggle to see her getting the same level of support after all this.
The Masked Singer was all recorded back in the summer, so there's nothing they can do for this series with it
The caption of the photo even says "Rita Ora earned £3million in 2018 despite not releasing any music"
I'm gutted, I won't lie. My favourite artist
But, I've lost a lot of respect for her after this unfortunately. I'm not sure if her career can be saved tbh
It will, people have short memories and this will be forgotten about very quickly.
She now has Kay Burley to take the heat off her, anyway!
It feels forgotten already.
Course it does, it's always a matter of days before the next celebrity "scandal" for everyone to jump on.
She'll release a pop 'banga' next year & this will never get talked about again...
She needs that 'banga' soon.
She needs that 'banga' soon.
Rita has been announced as a judge/coach on The Voice Australia for2021. Joining Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Keith Urban.
https://www.smooth.com.au/entertainment/reality-tv/new-judges-for-the-voice-australia-2021-revealed/
It brings more exposure to Rita in Australia and is another revenue source for her.
That said, it could delay recording of her third album.
Back in the tabloids again today
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/rita-ora-casa-cruz-covid-breach-lockdown-birthday-b906249.html
"Rita Ora’s reps ‘offered £5,000 to open Casa Cruz bar’ for singer’s 30th birthday party"
What a bad way to start an era...
ouch, this is getting out of her hands.
I think she needs to lay low for a while after this!!!
So should Dua Lipa, but it's easier to come for Rita in some people's eyes I guess?
Her reps offering £5000 makes Rita look much worse now.
The story won't go away for a while longer.
Now she's getting backlash for travelling to Australia to film The Voice
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/feb/02/government-criticised-for-letting-rita-ora-into-australia-ahead-of-40000-stranded-overseas
And now claims that she's been sacked from The Masked Dancer due to her party https://www.ok.co.uk/celebrity-news/masked-dancer-rita-ora-oti-23474883?fbclid=IwAR2diG9-HXgyBZhfoUgyKjtLpUj9pxRQdieTdjN8mHUYi5XnriDvv-Pxvak
I think this backlash has gone WAY too far. The reason she's not able to do The Masked Dancer is because she's filming The Voice Australia. The media's agenda is pretty clear.
Also it makes more sense to have ONE dancer on the show
AS IF Dua never got any negative press!? :')
She was roasted for her private holiday in Mexico which never broke lockdown regulations, and took place while leisure travel was allowed in Mexico and the US
Rita, on the other hand, was caught breaking UK’s restrictions, more than once and paid a restaurant to break the regulations. So yes, based on those facts, Rita does deserve more negative press than Dua.
Yeah agreed there. Dua Lipa at worst has just bragged about being able to do things all us peasants are currently unable to, which is kinda part & parcel of being a celeb on social media anyway.
Rita knowingly not only ignored mandatory quarantine but threw a party for 30 people AND bribed someone to conceal the evidence. It's about a bad an offence you could possibly carry out.
The difference is that Rita's was a one-off event. Nobody is excusing what she did but it happened once, she apologised, and the media are continuing to tear into her for the same thing many weeks on. What is left to say?
Dua's not done anything as bad but her lack of social distancing and constant travelling is a terrible example to set in a pandemic regardless of the local restrictions. I don't think we'll all ever agree on that, though, so I'm making this my last comment on Dua in this thread
It says it all that THIS is the press Rita's getting TWO MONTHS after the news broke:
"The Masked Singer fans call for Nicola Roberts to replace Rita Ora on main panel"
"Masked Singer's Rita Ora 'snubbed' for spin-off show after lockdown rule break shame" -> this is quite categorically not true, she's filming The Voice Australia and can't be in two places at once. Makes sense that the singer will prioritise the singing show over The Masked Dancer
Nobody's defending what Rita did (it was a really stupid error of judgement and she deserved to be called out for it!) but the press she's getting for it two months later is ridiculous. All you have to do is search Rita name into the "news" section of Google and the types of articles that appear make the agenda clear. Covid or not, Rita's press is mostly negative right now, one criticism or another (including for her Masked Singer outfits, we love sexism). Seems the media have learnt nothing from Caroline Flack.
At the end of the day, 2 months have passed, the past can't be changed, Rita's given an apology and I think she's been called out more than enough by even her biggest fans. What more can be achieved, short of her losing her job? I think there's a point where stuff goes too far and the angry mob of social media, fuelled by the media, won't stop until one mistake gets someone's life ruined. This is my whole issue with cancel culture in general. Let's look at this, posted by Jameela Jamil a while ago:
It's 100% fair to call Rita out - she deserved it! She f***ed up and needed to answer for her mistake. Cancelling her, calling for her to lose her job, that's a step too far in my personal opinion.
Rita Ora is headlining Mardi Gras in March: https://attitude.co.uk/article/rita-ora-announced-as-headliner-of-sydney-gay-and-lesbian-mardi-gras-1/24522/
Yeah it's ridic. The difference in press between her and Dua is CRAZY.
I assume the press just need someone else to take down and Rita is an easy target right now. Also those complaints from 'Dancing On Ice' are very "I don't like Alesha's necklace" lmao... stfu.
The press are definitely taking it too far with Rita.
I recall them also having a field day when she released the collab with Chris Brown, and her relationships with Calvin and Rob Kardashian, the cheating claims were all over the tabloids. They have always had it out for her, like they do with other big UK female personalities (see also Cheryl and Tulisa for example).
Dua, while a major UK star, hasn't done anything scandalous or out of the ordinary for the press to be on her case.
For those who enjoyed taking part in AF Idol last Summer, a Spin-Off has been launched to include YOU GUYS! Please go peep the thread in the link below and lets see what artists you will bring forward!
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=243497
Just putting my feelings out there. Your new banner SLAYS.
Thank you!! It took a lot of playing around to get it right, I spent ages on it!
I really do feel for Rita, she has rubbed me the wrong way in the past. But it's crazy the double standards in the press - slowthai breakdown about his award was ridic and he got #1 album whereas Rita has apologised, done everything in her power to put things right and people still want blood.
I am worried her days of getting a hit and support again are over but I really hope I'm just being overly cynical.
Could be true, might not - so take it as you will
It better be!
It’s a big lie...
