Cool I’m watching these old TOTP episodes so it’s all clear now lol. Imagine an A-Listed Cliff Richard track - must be the last era they supported??

Wow, love that Janet went straight to A-list.

Also that they supported Cher when she was 43. That would never happen now cry.gif

nice that Janet is added straight to the A-list
most surprised at Phil Collins being only added to the B-list

Did Radio 1 not playlist 'All For You' and 'Someone to Call My Lover' in 2001? I certainly remember them being played at the time?

I haven’t got the info but they def A-Listed it as there’s was a lot of hype for her return if I remember

As for Phil he was around for a while before 1989 solo and with genesis so not surprised at the B-List addition. I’m sure this was Phil Collins last big era on radio 1 too!

His next era got a top 10 and one more top 40 single in 1993, not sure if it was supported maybe to a lesser extent. I’m going by the fact “Another Day In Paradise” is his last ‘classic’ single imo.
