BuzzJack Music Forum _ Little Mix _ 10th Anniversary Celebrations • The Plans

As you may or may not be aware, Little Mix are right around the corner from making their 10th year together as a group. No "hiatus" or "split" to bridge in between. Despite a member leaving, they haven't had a new member (which used to be the norm for successful girl groups it seems). A feat that 97% of girl groups don't get to manage.

So, in order to get the hype going for our ideas that we have, we're going to rundown the plans we have in place atm. We would absolutely LOVE to hear all of your opinions and ideas for celebratory activities in this forum. So if you have an idea, feel free to post it in this thread and we will work with you as to when you can make a start (or if you don't want to host it, we'll gladly help you out!)

Our current ideas include:

We'll have TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE kinda topics opening up, where we can discuss Little Mix and their achievements through each year. We love good nostalgic memory traps and we will also be opening topics with discussions on random things like their ballads/style through the years/live performances. Also their tours and will rank the setlists, talk about the omissions etc... We are planning to host the 2nd TOP 100 POSTERS OF THE LITTLE MIX FORUM. The last time we did this was in 2016 at some point. I love that it was done right bang in the middle of this! It'll be interesting to see who climbed, fell and who will be entering. The growth of the userbase in this forum has been stellar and remarkable to see.

As we draw closer to the 10 year anniversary of them actually winning the show we will be hosting a LITTLE MIX SINGLES LISTENING PARTY. Just an all out party and celebration of one of our favourite artists. We also want to do something with their music videos and potentially attempt a MUSIC VIDEO RATE at some point? We have had a Britney and Ariana one in the past and they were both incredibly fun. Especially as we all took to plug.dj (r.i.p </3) to talk and watch the music videos together. But we'll find another way to do a group viewing of this.

And finally at some point we will be opening an ULTIMATE LITTLE MIX RATE which will take a couple of months. This is obviously a classic rate, but we do the entire discography of Little Mix. From 'Cannonball' right through to the Anne-Marie (and more?) collaboration. We haven't really decided whether to include remixes yet (well, the non-single remixes but we'll see) but I imagine this won't start for a while and will aim to get this done closer towards the end of the celebrations at the end of the year so we end on a big event. We'll probably aim to do the music video rate v soon so that there's a couple of months gap between the rates and y'all aren't exhausted from it.

All of this as well as the usual discussion on their singles/albums/whatever the girls all have planned for us.

So very excited to get these underway and celebrate their illustrious and ground breaking career together. I might even throw in a giveaway of some sort... but we'll see what I can come up with for that.

Oh and just FYI, so you're all not overwhelmed with the Ultimate Rate, we will be doing a couple of albums at a time just so it's not all done in one go and y'all will have a chance to revisit it all and still have time to rate etc..

What date is the actual date they were formed?

I wonder what sort of plans they have? All 3 girls have said they have exciting plans for the 10 year anniversary but we haven’t had any teasers (yet!)

I don't know if there will be any announcements before hand or it'll all be on the day.

Ah this is so lovely, and so deserved too! They really have pushed the boundaries as far as girl groups of the past staying in the original line up for 9 years and releasing consistently for 10 years without a break! Nevermind the records they broken in the charts too! While they are not my favourite girl band I do think in terms of what they have achieved they are the best!

we have confirmation they're announcing something next week - I'm guessing a singles collection + the lead from that since they have "No" coming in September (last I heard)

rounding off the LM4 era with a Greatest Hits before releasing LM7 in 2022 would be a nice closer to a massive era w/Jesy.

(I kinda feel a September single release might be overkill. That would essentially be No Time For Tears, Sweet Melody, Confetti, Heartbreak Anthem, Kiss My (Uh Oh) and a new single within 9 months lol)

It’s not like anyone really remembers No Time for Tears and we’ve yet to see if Kiss My will be anything but a cute top 20. I think they’re fine, especially since they will likely take several months after that where they’re not releasing anything.
