Well the prediction game didn't work out so I am trying out another idea which isn't really a game. The new releases are above and you vote in the poll for what you predict the film will open with. Posse post your answers and hopefully this creates discussion smile.gif

UK new releases:
The second best exotic marigold hotel- Sequel to the first one and has a 4 day opening
Focus- Will Smith and Margot Robbie action thriller
It Follows- Horror with great reviews getting a wide release
The Boy Next Door- Jennifer Lopez thriller

My predictions:
The second best exotic marigold hotel should open very well considering how well the 1st one did. I can see at least over £3M for the 4 day opening. The first film opened with £2.2M and climbed to £2.3M on its second week. I am predicting £4.1M
Focus should also do well, I predict £1.5M
It follows could do ok but a minuture marketing campaign and small release makes me think otherwise. £400k prediction
The boy next door will bomb. £310k prediction

I really like the marketing for Focus, think it could be pushing more towards the £2m mark.

Bit more conservative with my prediction for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, going to say that it mirrors the first movie though I guess a four day opening would help lift it.

It Follows isn't my thing at all but I've seen the trailer a few times, I'll say a bit over £500k. Agree that The Boy Next Door is a bomb.

I'm predicting:

2.8m for Second Best Marigold Hotel
2.6m for Focus >> The marketing has been insane for this! <<
1.1m for It Follows
650k for Boy Next Door

It all depends on how many screens 'It Follows' is showing in. I think it'll have quite a limited release (in which case I'd predict about 800k).
