With Ellie Goulding at number one with the song from the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Of Grey. I have been thinking how many big hits from the last ten years can we name that have been taken from a movie soundtrack. Songs written or recorded specifically for inclusion in a film rather than songs added to film soundtracks long after they'd been written / recorded. I can name two straight off, anyone think of any others?

Happy - Indespicle me 2

Let It Go - Frozen

I'm still highly shocked that "Breaking Free" reached the top 10 to begin with.

Also "Elastic Heart" was in the Catching Fire soundtrack before it became a hit.

Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition

Should that count when Sweet Disposition came out a year before the movie?

according to wikipedia it was included in 500 days of summer after its release, unless it was in another film...

Another question...how many of these songs have become Platinum? Or become million-sellers?
