HalfNoise is Zac's side project. Since he left Paramore in 2010 he's been releasing his own music under that title and still continues to do so even now he's rejoined Paramore. It's not uncommon for Paramore to perform a HalfNoise song at their shows either so it's really cool that they're able to juggle both. Their sound is what i'd call very chill and indie, you can see the connections between what Zac does with HalfNoise and how that's influenced Paramore's new sound now that he's back in the band. I v much think their recent aesthetic comes from Zac as well. It's nice to know that everyones visions are being recognised within the band tbh

I have to be honest, there's only a few HalfNoise songs I go back to but I have a lot of appreciation for his music still.

so what do you guys think? ohmy.gif

I'd never actually listened to any of his solo music before - but there are some bangers there I will definitely come back to!

I really like HalfNoise actually. Zack has a really nice voice and it's an interesting direction, nice dreamy sound and would love to see some of this influence in Paramore music. I know he rejoined for AL but it was only really during recording (iirc) so he doesn't have as many writing credits as Taylor and Hayley.

I really should listen to HalfNoise more tbh.

I remember someone sent a HalfNoise track to one of the song contests a while back (French Class I think?) and it was one of my favourites there so I'll make sure I listen to some more of his music!
