Apparently they've been approached (Victoria included) by the BBC to perform at the Queens Platinum Jubilee concert on June 4th.
If true I'd be very surprised if we didn't see all five again for this. |

I don’t know just can’t see Victoria doing it tbh. I suppose it’s the biggest thing bar Glastonbury to pull them together now?

I'm sure they've been approached they get offered everything, Hyde park, Glasto, Live Aid, the queens last jubilee in 2012, the Olympics and lots of other things. It is just a case of if all 5 say yes or if whatever is offering them would be happy with 4.
I think personally they would be mad to turn this down, it will be huge and they can easily get away with a 3 or 4 song set that last 15-20 minutes. Short but sweet. This post has been edited by sammy01: 19th February 2022, 12:37 PM |

I could see the other four doing it if Victoria won't, it's whether the event organisers would be ok with that. Same as with Glasto it may be a 5 or nothing type thing.

To be honest I think the 5 or nothing has sailed now that the 4 remaining ones have established themselves as a viable offer with touring and merchandise sales.
As much as the media likes to trash them and create conflict, I dont think there is an issue anymore of Victoria not being present. |

Interesting so an invite has definitely been issued then. I wonder if the four would do it without Victoria or if that is not an option?

Unlike the closing ceremony of the Olympics, which is a global event watched by hundreds of millions of people, the Platinum Jubilee is mainly a British event that will not attract much attention around the world (will it even be televised overseas?), so I actually won't be too upset if they choose to refuse the invitation.

The queens jubilee will be broadcast worldwide, like all major UK royal engagements.
It will be massive like Kate/William's wedding ect. The Queen is the most recognisable and photographed woman in the world. She is so far above any celeb in terms of pulling power. This will be huge and it has been in the planning for a long time spice girls or not. This post has been edited by sammy01: 20th February 2022, 07:18 PM |

Really hope they do it, not bothered if it’s a 4 or 5 piece but just hope they get the chance to do it without Victoria if she is not
up for it |

Yeah this will definitely be a big deal worldwide. Just look at the popularity of The Crown on Netflix. The British royals generate a lot of interest whether liked or not.

Seems Geri may not want to do it!
Cant blame her she could be a beat behind the others and face the ridicule globally. |

If they did agree to perform, what songs do you think they should include in their set?
Looking at the Diamond Jubilee Concert, most artists got to do two songs, but there were a handful who did more - Paul McCartney 5 songs & Elton John 3 songs. Kylie did a medley of 4 songs and Cliff Richard did a medley of 7 songs. I assume Spice Girls would be considered one of the top acts who'd get to do more than two. Well if they got to do 5, I'd go with... Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, Spice Up Your Life, Stop, Viva Forever. Or maybe Who Do You Think You Are instead of Spice Up Your Life, given that that song had its moment at the Olympics (as did Wannabe, but there's no way they wouldn't perform Wannabe). Harder to narrow it down to three, but maybe Wannabe, Say You'll Be There and Stop? Although I'd really love for Viva Forever to have a time to shine. I'd rather they did full length songs than a medley. |

They should do a medley of Gerita's most popular tracks, like So I Give Up On Love, Half of Me and Heaven and Hell (Being Geri Halliwell)
