Either way, cannot wait for this messT to commence

I'm super excited about this!!!! Love the Apprentice. It's such a mess every year it's just outstanding. Last year was a bit lacking in talent, so am hoping for another bit of eye candy at the level of James Hill wub.gif

I dunno, I did have a bit of a crush on David. teresa.gif

Posted by: Noahspike Sep 21 2016, 10:13 PM

I saw this thread earlier while browsing on my phone, got unreasonably excited, saw 'Thursday' when I skimmed down, concluded it was starting tomorrow, told my housemate, he immediately got excited, agreed we'd scrap our previous plans to watch it together tomorrow...and then I decided to check the details again. manson.gif </333

Anyway, it's been a few hours and I've decided I can deal with the two-week wait now happy.gif. Hoping for some offbeat characters in amongst the usual narcissists, and at least one credible candidate who keeps their dignity relatively intact by the end of the process would be cool too.

Posted by: Jade Sep 22 2016, 01:48 AM

YES this is one of a few shows that I feel like I'll always be invested in. Bring it ON!

Posted by: HarryEzra Sep 22 2016, 07:54 AM

I cannot wait for this

Posted by: Froot. Sep 27 2016, 11:35 AM

It's my second favourite TV show so I cannot WAIT!! Must remind myself not to get annoyed though when the best candidate has a shit business proposal because the producers can't be bothered to check whether the proposals are good before they start the show. smile.gif

Posted by: Pavel Sep 27 2016, 06:38 PM

Why gotta be so white tho

Posted by: Silas Sep 27 2016, 07:02 PM

No lookers either sad.gif

They may as well stack some eye candy in there because everyone knows ¾ of the contestants are a steaming pile of shit with unworkable ideas anyway.

Posted by: Martyn Sep 27 2016, 07:23 PM

There are so many from Essex/London this year.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Sep 27 2016, 08:52 PM

Just listened to their interviews. Some of them sound absolutely awful laugh.gif

Posted by: Chez Wombat Sep 27 2016, 09:19 PM

They get more and more cringey and less business like every year :')

Omg at the one speaking cat tho, favourite *_*

Posted by: burbe Sep 28 2016, 01:21 PM

That cat lady! WTF! laugh.gif

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 6 2016, 08:10 PM

Well I hate Karthik already

Posted by: Jade Oct 6 2016, 08:46 PM

Stanning for Karthik

Posted by: Joe. Oct 6 2016, 08:50 PM

Omg Jessica.

Posted by: Jade Oct 6 2016, 08:58 PM

Rebecca should have gone over Michelle! She doesn't really bring anything to the table.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 6 2016, 09:00 PM

I think the right person was fired (although for some reason I kind of like Rebecca)

Posted by: Iz~ Oct 6 2016, 09:01 PM

Karthik is bae. I look forward to following his progress.

Good start too, right firing of a boring candidate.

Posted by: Jack Oct 6 2016, 09:04 PM

Michelle looked like a mushroom tbh.

Posted by: danG Oct 6 2016, 09:07 PM

lordsugar@idontcare.com *__* my new catchphrase

I was hoping for a double firing, both her and Rebecca should have gone.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Oct 6 2016, 09:09 PM

Thought that'd be a classic case of misleading edit, but glad it wasn't. Dreadful project manager and a rightful firing (did she actually have more than one facial expression through that whole thing?) , Rebecca wasn't great either, but she could do better in the future. Alana needed to stay on eye candy basis.

The men actually seem quite competent in general this year which makes a change! Also, I'm gonna need Jessica to leave soon for fear of my own sanity.

Posted by: Martyn Oct 6 2016, 09:17 PM

I wish they wouldn't have more than 14 candidates. 18 is way to many to follow.

Posted by: burbe Oct 6 2016, 09:17 PM

Oh god Jessica is a nightmare. The pretending to drop an antique wasn't funny the first time rolleyes.gif

Definitely the right decision. I think Rebecca maybe should have gone too but I guess there's still time for her to show what she can do (or not).

Posted by: cqmerqn Oct 6 2016, 09:19 PM

I'm glad Michelle went!

Posted by: J▲hq Oct 6 2016, 09:22 PM

Jessica is an icon and everyone needs to deal

Posted by: Jade Oct 6 2016, 09:28 PM

Jessica is so annoying already laugh.gif and her voice is reminiscent of Helen Wood which is never a good thing

Posted by: Cremey Oct 6 2016, 09:39 PM

Jessica is incredible.

Glad Michelle went, love how the other too were so close to the tears in the boardroom and she just showed no emotion :')

Posted by: JosephStyles Oct 6 2016, 09:51 PM

K is my instant fave tbh *.*

Michelle had to go, terrible PM and was obviously gonna bring very little enthusiasm to the show going forward. Jessica could go either way... laugh.gif

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 Oct 6 2016, 09:51 PM

Jessica is incredible ❤️

I probably would've fired both Michelle and Rebecca!

Posted by: Davidson Oct 6 2016, 10:43 PM

The amount of times Jessica pretended to drop the antiques was by far the episode highlight. Hysterical.

EXACTLY what I thought laugh.gif She even has a tiny look of her too. She's clearly going to be an iconic candidate, though.

Jessica is not bad looking imo, she's not on the level of Selena from last year though.

Posted by: Houdini Oct 7 2016, 12:19 AM

Does anyone else think that Oliver looks a lot like the guy from Blur?

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 7 2016, 12:26 AM

I was thinking he looked a lot more like Harry Enfield.

Great episode. So cringey and disastrous right from the start is always a great sign wub.gif

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 7 2016, 06:48 AM

If Karthik wins I fear for the world

Posted by: Froot. Oct 7 2016, 10:40 AM

I think that was the right decision because the girl's team was just a mess, with one of the worst performances I've probably seen. I think anyone could just sell a bunch of ornaments by just agreeing to whatever the customer says in terms of price. They needed organisation and planning but none of it was there. The first week is always hard in terms of deciding who should be fired though as it's hard to judge the potential based just on one task. If they've messed up on two tasks, it's a bit easier.

Rebecca is the hot mess that manages to last a few weeks but gets fired because people target the fact that she's been brought back into the boardroom every week.

I was screaming at this! Every time they cut to her with the expert she was either shouting "CATCH!" or pretending to drop everything as you say laugh.gif

Posted by: Silas Oct 9 2016, 01:45 PM

Jessica is the only one I don't f***ing dispise so it's gonna be a bumper year!!

Posted by: Jade Oct 13 2016, 08:58 PM

Natalie was just deadwood so no big loss.

Had a turnaround on Rebecca, she was actually quite impressive today.

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 13 2016, 09:08 PM

WHAT A MESS! Absolute MESS! laugh.gif

Posted by: Davidson Oct 13 2016, 09:25 PM

Think even after all the years this has been on that episode was probably my favourite episode ever.

Never seen a bigger mess and I was living for it. Everyone is so f***ing useless and it's hysterical to watch. Spent the entire time laughing my head off.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Oct 13 2016, 09:32 PM

These creative tasks are always such a wonderful car crash <3 Think this might have been the worst EVER in terms of quality though? Really showed the awful standard this year, though that only makes it more watchable ofc.!

I did not know who Natalie was until that boardroom, and she was constantly pouting and I'm not sure I even understood a word she said either so no loss. Thought the Boy's project manager was very lucky as was Dillon to not even be brought back, JD actually seemed one of the VERY few competent ones on that task.

Posted by: Martyn Oct 13 2016, 09:44 PM

That car crash and only one person got fired!

Posted by: blacksquare Oct 13 2016, 11:20 PM

Natalie was ICONIC

Posted by: Froot. Oct 14 2016, 09:23 AM

Absolutely the correct decision, Natalie was completely useless and I'm not even sure how she even got on the show. She's more suited to the TOWIE-style reality shows.

I'm surprised he only fired one considering both teams lost and six people were in the final boardroom. The boys were very lucky, Karthik should have gone as well but I'm sure he's been kept in for entertainment reasons. JD definitely shouldn't have been brought back.

Rebecca was definitely the most impressive this week which I'm very surprised about after last week. It would have been interesting to see if they would have produced a better campaign with her as PM.

We've not really seen anything of Oliver, Samuel, Grianne and maybe Frances yet so hopefully they start to step up soon.

Posted by: Burbe G Oct 14 2016, 10:52 AM

Such an entertaining episode, as everyone has said because of that car crash from both teams. Seriously how did it go so wrong?! I warmed to both Rebecca and Jessica this week. Bless Rebecca for that whole situation when they were voting to be PM laugh.gif

Definitely the right decision to fire Natalie. She was pure deadwood and I don't remember her doing anything the past two weeks apart from asking what a strapline is (!!). I do think one of the boys should have gone as well, probably Karthick but I can see why the show would want him to remain. I imagine it will be single firings until a triple firing bloodbath around week 4/5 as has happened the last two series.

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 14 2016, 10:57 AM

Karen's faces at stupid decisions are literally giving me life!

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 16 2016, 05:38 PM

Jessica: I want to be your business partner
Sugar: So does everyone in this process
Jessica: But I want it MORE!!!

Posted by: Jack Oct 16 2016, 05:43 PM

Jessica and Karthik were absolutely unbearable in this episode. Jessica has turned from being a loveable bubbly girl to a Helen Wood esque figure in just two episodes ... odd.

Posted by: Silas Oct 17 2016, 06:30 PM

Catching up now and I think this might be one of the worst advert weeks I've ever seen. Both ads were awful, the girls brand was washed out on the background colours, the boys pitch was horrific. Just awful so completely brilliant TV. I've long given up on the business side of this show and think it's now just a full on comedy.

Posted by: Silas Oct 17 2016, 06:51 PM

Think if I was Sir Alan I'd have to start off with a cast of about 100 apprentices because honestly I think i'd fire entire teams at a time.

Posted by: jase. Oct 20 2016, 07:26 PM

Just caught up on last weeks ep in prep for tonight's - Karthik was absolutely insufferable rotf.gif Good viewing, though. I also felt really sorry for Alana. She was so nervous, bless her.

Posted by: jase. Oct 20 2016, 08:32 PM

"Suuuuuuuck it! Who wants to suck iiiiiiiiiiiit?!?!"

SCREAMING rotf.gif

Posted by: jase. Oct 20 2016, 08:49 PM

Oliver's the nicest/most likeable Apprentice candidate EVER.

Paul's a nasty bast*rd.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Oct 20 2016, 09:39 PM

Oliver was so sweet, completely tragic ofc., but gosh I wanted to hug him when he talked about his sausage empire :')

Posted by: gooddelta Oct 20 2016, 09:40 PM

So hard to see a winner in this bunch still.

Weirdly one of the people on the beach buying sweets from one of the teams was a girl I used to manage at Debenhams (which is about 2 minutes walk away from where they were filming!)

Posted by: Jack Oct 20 2016, 10:33 PM

Alana is the winner so far in my eyes, I think she did SO well in this task. It felt like the first proper moment someone did well in the series so far.

Posted by: Ryan. Oct 20 2016, 10:58 PM

I think Alana has been wonderful throughout this series so far - personality wise. She's refreshingly not cocky or arrogant in any way and she didn't put a foot wrong as project manager really, despite the pressure she must have been under after her mini breakdown in the board room last week.

Ultimately I think she'll be "sadly let go" as I think she's just *too* nice, but I really want her to do well.

Posted by: Houdini Oct 20 2016, 11:06 PM

I was laughing my head off when Oliver was sitting with his hands closed together and not making eye contact with Lord Sugar laugh.gif I think he sealed his own fate there.

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 21 2016, 01:10 AM

Oliver was really awkward to watch in the boardroom and I think that was all a bit too relateable imo haha. Such a mess. He's not the nicest guy on The Apprentice when Jason from a few series back exists!

Paul is very vindictive and quite vicious. Really want him to go, asap. Grainne coming out of the woodwork as the most likely winner, imo! She was so good in this and I can see her coming at least 2nd, if not winning.

Posted by: Silas Oct 22 2016, 09:28 PM

This year is just a complete and utter f***ing disaster. Like just a bloody mess. How do these people make it through the selection process?!!?! Utter bloody morons the lot of them.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 27 2016, 04:29 PM

I want to see Mukai or Paul go tonight, I did feel like they 'ganged up' on Oliver last week

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 27 2016, 08:55 PM

Wrong team in the bottom today! I honestly don't know who I would choose to fire. Probablu Mukai coz he's been pretty much a non-entity and has winged his way through it so far.

Paul still irks me! He seems very aggressive still!

Posted by: JosephStyles Oct 27 2016, 09:26 PM

Yeah I think half of the winning team were very lucky to escape - all of the personal shopping team bar Dillon.... mellow.gif

The right firing for sure though, Mukai had SUCH a high opinion of himself but never delivered, his luck had to run out. Oh and so much discussion about putting Rebecca in the window.... laugh.gif

Posted by: Izzy Dead People Oct 27 2016, 10:59 PM

Mukai is the sort of candidate I often like to see go further but it was a fair firing. Was really rooting for the team that lost to win, largely because I'm itching for a Sofiane comeuppance.

Posted by: ML Hammer95 Oct 27 2016, 11:03 PM

Fully supporting Karthik, by far my favourite this year! He is truly comedy gold and he'd be really good as a project manager I think. As for eye-candy, there's Jessica, Grainne and Frances but my favourite is Alana. She seems very relatable and hope she does well.

Mukai was the right guy to go this week, dodged a bullet a few times.

Agreed, agreed and agreed. I've ended up loving Alana when she comes to the fore, even when she messes up a bit. And yes, on a shallow note, this year is much better for the girls than most years kink.gif

I so want Karthik to do well when he becomes project manager, if he gets the right task he could clean up but otherwise it'll be a disaster.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 28 2016, 08:24 AM

Glad Mukai went. Personally I think Grainne should have brought back Rebecca as well, Karthik was actually alright in that task...

Posted by: Jack Oct 28 2016, 08:38 AM

Karthik really?? He's so annoying! And can we talk about that god awful monobrow laugh.gif

My favourites are Alana and Jessica even if Jessica is bipolar as f***.

Posted by: Silas Oct 28 2016, 08:53 AM

Right person went, because Mukai was an insufferable c**t but the wrong team lost. I really did feel for them as I thought they worked fairly well, aside from Mukai's inability to drop the window thing, and it was a better team performance than the other team.

Jessica really saved them from losing. I think she'll go far but probably be weeded out in interviews

Posted by: Battias Oct 29 2016, 09:52 AM

Missed the last episode of this (will try to catch up) but aw Mukai was fired?! lol he intrigued me and I was expecting him to get a bit further. And just found out about Aleksandra quitting the show too...

Posted by: Conderella Oct 29 2016, 01:56 PM

I'm glad she changed the decision back to Mukai because hes really done nothing in this task. If a PM hears that you could be super good at selling handbags since you have so much experience in fashion then of course they will have a hard time ignoring that info! Especially with nobody knowing shit all about scarfs. What an idiot. Good riddance. So far pretty much every decision was right.

I can't wait to see Sofiane f*** something up and be in the losing team. He's the type of candidate I live for in these shows. I.e. arrogant self-centered know it all. Alana and Grainne are clearly top 5 at this point but you just know they have a bad business plan or something.

Posted by: Sonia Fowler Oct 29 2016, 02:56 PM

I think the real question is should Rebecca had gone in the window tbh.....

I am glad Mukai went cheer.gif Seems to have a very high opinion of himself when in face he is shit at selling etc laugh.gif

Posted by: Houdini Nov 4 2016, 12:21 AM

It feels as if Paul has been in the losing team every week, I'm not liking him much at the moment and I think his time will soon come.

Posted by: Jade Nov 4 2016, 01:07 AM

Good riddance to JD, he barely did anything! A lot of deadwood this year it seems.

Posted by: Ryan. Nov 4 2016, 02:59 AM

I loved the little moment when Claude gave Alana the recognition for the promo video in the boardroom and Alana's eyes lit up finally realising she'd been recognised for her good ideas!

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 4 2016, 08:03 AM

I would've fired all 3 of them tbh, Paul was awful with the site and...what did Rebecca actually do again?

Posted by: Conderella Nov 4 2016, 09:42 AM

I am waiting for a bloodbath in one of the next episodes with 3 eliminations or something because you just KNOW it's going to happen after so many boring one candidate per episode fired episodes.

Posted by: Jack Nov 4 2016, 11:51 AM

I loved that moment with Alana too, Ryan! She's so creative and I think she should/could go far. Karthik is horrendous and was so unnecessarily rude to Alana. His cheesy pitch talking makes me cringe beyond belief too.

I'm really not a fan of Paul either, so aggressive! Rebecca is getting really lucky now laugh.gif

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 4 2016, 12:09 PM

Just catching up now.

#Concerned

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 4 2016, 01:05 PM

What is it with most of the guys this year? All seemingly putting the women down and not giving them a chance to have their input? They're vile. I still can't name a winner. Although, Grainne is probably the one with the most potential. Alana is going to go far too, but she needs to toughen up slightly if she wants to be doing this sort of thing. They'll eat her alive at the interviews process, but maybe that's the plan with this series? Building her up so we all route for her/go on the journey with her?

Posted by: jase. Nov 5 2016, 12:07 AM

Potentially the worst cast in the history of the show?

Posted by: 🎄cqmerqn🎄 Nov 5 2016, 12:41 AM

Alana to win pls x

Posted by: 🎄cqmerqn🎄 Nov 14 2016, 11:09 PM

Shocked at the lack of replies in this thread.

Not one of these candidates stand out really... I like Alana and Courtney - one of those to win!

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 16 2016, 06:13 PM

Courtney is my favourite atm, I've had a few favourites this series but they've all anoyed me in one way or another. I'd like Jessica to stay in as well.

I was rooting for Rebecca at the start, but by last week she did need to go. Sofiane won't last much longer though I don't think

Posted by: Silas Nov 16 2016, 07:58 PM

I'm catching up currently.

This year is a bit shit talent wise. They are largely awful.

Posted by: Silas Nov 16 2016, 08:45 PM

Yet again I don't think the worst team lost. Seems to be a recurring theme this year. Sof needs to get the f*** off my TV tho

Posted by: J▲hq Nov 17 2016, 10:01 PM

K gone <3

Putting up with him all these weeks was worth it in the end for THAT firing !

I will miss Karthik, he was so entertaining, but that firing was pretty epic. Glad Samuel's out as well, he always came across as up himself in a bad way.

Yes Karthik was really funny, even explaining what he would do with a laptop couldn't save him

Posted by: burbe Nov 17 2016, 11:59 PM

Very happy with both firings there. I did think Lord Sugar would go for the triple kill this week and get rid of Dylan, but never mind.

I'm glad Frances finally got a chance to win haha!

Posted by: Bluth Nov 18 2016, 02:46 PM

Been expecting a double firing for a while and knew it would be coming when Titans finally lost as Alan hasn't had a chance to fire them for a long while! Bit of disastrous loss for them.

Brutal at the way that Karthik was fired even though I expected that he would be fired. I was kind of expecting them to wait for him to be PM and then fire him which is of course what happened. I'm more shocked at the fact that Samuel was fired, I didn't really think he deserved to be based on the task and, although he hasn't been a shining star, he hasn't messed up really on the other tasks. I'm glad Alana was saved though, she just needs more confidence in herself and she could be a really strong candidate. I actually think that she might have a really good business plan which is why she's being kept in even though she's not particularly strong in the boardroom.

I do think Titans were perhaps a bit unlucky that the credit checks fell through. Although, the fact that the task involved selling those high price items rendered the selling of the lower priced items a bit pointless. The task would always be basically won on who was able to sell the most boats/jetskis unless neither team sold any! In that aspect, it was good that Nebula still won in regards to the sales of the lower priced outcomes.

I'm going to predict the Final Five to be: Courtney, Paul, Jessica, Grianne and Alana.

Posted by: Jack Nov 18 2016, 04:09 PM

Yaaaaassss best firing possible! Samuel and Karthik were such irritants and I adore Alana biggrin.gif

I can see Sofiane being kept for the interviews for obvious reasons, perhaps in place of Courtney. I can definitely see Jessica and Grianne in the final five though! I'd be very surprised if they were fired before then.

Posted by: jase. Nov 18 2016, 07:35 PM

I just can't see anybody outside of Grianne winning tbh, and even that's pushing it for me

Posted by: Kye Nov 18 2016, 07:39 PM

The women are absolutely miles ahead of the men this year, it's totally gonna be a female winner (or at least it better had be).

Alana, Grianne & Jessica are my top 3, obviously won't be like that though sad.gif Jessica is literally LIFE. She was annoying at first but she has an endearing charm. I love her.

Posted by: Silas Nov 18 2016, 08:29 PM

Sofiane is a proper pure arsehole man. Jesus that's a turd that needs flushed.

Double firing was utterly miles overdue. Samuel was an arse who thought himself better than the team and Karthik has been up for the chop since the first minute about time he went. Honestly I think this was probably the best and most satisfying boardroom since Katie Hopkins was on the show. Admittedly the final three section was a bit of a let down

So pleased for Francis. She's been solidly brilliant for weeks.

As always Karen was outstanding. Smacking down Dillon about standing up for Samuel.

I can see Sofiane being kept for the interviews for obvious reasons, perhaps in place of Courtney. I can definitely see Jessica and Grianne in the final five though! I'd be very surprised if they were fired before then.

QUOTE(jase. @ Nov 18 2016, 08:35 PM) *
I just can't see anybody outside of Grianne winning tbh, and even that's pushing it for me

QUOTE(Kye @ Nov 18 2016, 08:39 PM) *
The women are absolutely miles ahead of the men this year, it's totally gonna be a female winner (or at least it better had be).

Alana, Grianne & Jessica are my top 3, obviously won't be like that though sad.gif Jessica is literally LIFE. She was annoying at first but she has an endearing charm. I love her.

It's spelt Grainne. tongue.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 19 2016, 04:08 AM

The 'Boat Show' episode was 100x better compared to 'Discount Buying' which is shocking to me because usually this Discount Buying episode is one of the stronger tasks.

My pick for the Final Four are: Grainne, Jessica, Paul and probably Courtney. I struggled between Courtney and Trishna for the 4th, I guess it really comes down to who's on what team and when they lose.
Something about Paul screams Winner to me, I don't know what it is. I'd love to see Grainne or Jessica win. Better yet, Alana, but let's be honest. That's not going to happen.

Posted by: Conderella Nov 19 2016, 04:27 PM

oh my amazing episode. The shock in everyone's faces after Karthick got the chop. BRILLIANT. I so knew he was going to get axed after losing 188 v 40000. There's really no excuse.

Alana or Grainne to win.

Posted by: 🎄cqmerqn🎄 Nov 19 2016, 05:31 PM

I think the top 5 will be:

1. Grainne
2. Trishna
3. Frances
4. Courtney
5. Alana

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 24 2016, 10:09 PM

Savage level: KAREN!

LMAO!! What a QUEEN!

Never been happier with a firing, ever! Absolute worst contestant I've ever come across on this show! Vile.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Nov 24 2016, 10:12 PM

Yeah, thank God he's gone, a real twat. I can't imagine how anyone would wanna work with him let alone do business. Frances being a bit of a snake though :x

Next week's task looks amazing *.* (though probably will be more cringey lol)

Posted by: burbe Nov 24 2016, 10:30 PM

Thank god he went but I don't see how it's professional or business like to cry your way through the boardroom. The women (well Frances, Jessica and Alanna) are a mess this series - they cry as soon as anything goes wrong. I appreciate it's a tough process and a one off is fine, but it seems to be happening more and more often.

Also Karen was an absolute savage this week. Loved it!

Posted by: Houdini Nov 25 2016, 12:15 AM

I think Courtney will win this series.

I think having someone shouting in your face all day and then again in the boardroom in a tough process, you're bound to show cracks.

Posted by: Joe. Nov 25 2016, 12:21 AM

Yeah, people shouldn't feel bad for showing sensitivity /crying - it doesn't always mean you're weak.

Posted by: Silas Nov 25 2016, 07:38 AM

It looks to be such a tough process and you never know how much the producers are stirring the pot behind the camera to goad them into crying

Good firing, could tell he was gone the second the boardroom started and he was back chatting.

Karen tho. What a f***ing legend. She was on form and Savage AF. They're all useless but it's making for some cracking TV this year

Love her heart.gif I don't think I've ever done such a big u-turn for someone on The Apprentice.

I love when Jessica starts talking really fast because she's nervous and gets herself in a tizz and has to stop herself from talking. laugh.gif She is hilarious.

I tweeted about loving her and she liked it! I checked her page and she already has her own brand of fashion wear which looks to be doing alright? ohmy.gif

She liked my post when I called her iconic. I'm hoping she's the winner and is looking for brand loyalty from her fans.

Posted by: Conderella Nov 26 2016, 09:05 AM

I accidentally spoiled myself when I was searching for the new episode. But it was so obvious Paul was going to be fired because of how he got portrayed throughout the episode. I mean would LS really fire one of the CRYING WOMEN and keep the bully in the process?? I mean come on! But luckily this WAS a shambles on Paul's part which could've been EASILY avoided had he made everything clear regarding the pricing strategy and what was included. That way he could shift the blame on someone else who went rogue if something went wrong. I mean he surely had seen the show before!

Alana, Trishna or Grainne to win plz.

Posted by: Conderella Nov 26 2016, 09:07 AM

Starting to like Jessica as well. She is BRILLIANT at selling and it's the only thing that's keeping her in the process along with being an amazing TV of course lmao

Posted by: Jack Nov 26 2016, 10:05 AM

I screamed when Jessica went "use your common sense yeah? smile.gif " to Sofian. She has had so many moments this series already.

Posted by: 🎄cqmerqn🎄 Nov 26 2016, 11:12 PM

I want Courtney to win but he gave it away on Twitter that he didn't win!

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 29 2016, 03:41 PM

I think it was good Paul went, but I think Frances should have gone as well for her back-stabbing

Posted by: Jack Dec 1 2016, 10:02 PM

Serious girl power! Loving how Alana doesn't take any shit either.

Dillon was annoying af, and I liked Sofian but he was a bit of a wet lettuce. Courtney is dead wood as well imo, so it's definetly going to be a female winner!

Posted by: Weiss Schnee Dec 1 2016, 10:03 PM

And we're down to 1 man! Who's horrendously weak and should really be getting fired next week.

Dillon shouldn't have gone I think but otherwise, I can't really argue with that result. Frances, Trishna or Alana seem the only viable options for a win, it's really not the best year. For skill that is, because of the awfulness it's done an excellent job at somehow maintaining my interest even when I've seen all the tasks go through the motions before.

Both "games" tonight were disasters but that's probably because I have high standards for that sort of thing.

Posted by: Jack Dec 1 2016, 10:06 PM

I really think it's been one of the best years ever! So many likeable characters and it's been so genuinely entertaining too.

Posted by: J▲hq Dec 1 2016, 10:17 PM

I LOVED the badger. It was so cute and I loved how random the name of the game was :') Was so happy with that result announcement and how much they landslided it.

Also love the praise that Jessica gets for her presenting, she's remained my favourite since week 1.

Posted by: Jingle Burbes Dec 2 2016, 01:52 PM

Perfect firings last night! The women have definitely been stronger this series, so I'm not surprised there's 5 of them left v 1 man.

Posted by: Emperor Blizzard Dec 2 2016, 01:56 PM

Jessica was brilliant...the first time in a long time someone on the Apprentice has sounded like they are actually passionate about the product and engaging in the pitch....

Posted by: Houdini Dec 6 2016, 01:41 PM

Alan Sugar has accidently given away the winner of this year's series of The Apprentice by following the person on Twitter. Apparently he only follows one person from each series on Twitter and that person is always the winner.

Luckily the web page where I read this information didn't name who the person is but if I were you guys I would try to stay away from anything to do with this programme on the internet over the next 3 weeks.

Posted by: WiseManFromLeeds Dec 6 2016, 09:52 PM

Surprised Dillon went - I don't think he should have gone just for being put in the wrong team. Anyway, Courtney is technically the last man standing now biggrin.gif

Posted by: 🎄cqmerqn🎄 Dec 8 2016, 02:59 PM

Spoiler alert! It has been leaked - Alana won The Apprentice!

Posted by: Silas Dec 8 2016, 09:36 PM

Shit this week is awful, product wise. Courtney has to be one of the worst pitchers to ever be on the show like. Diabolical. Has to be an all female last 5 surely.

Posted by: Silas Dec 8 2016, 09:45 PM

Ok now that I did not expect.

Posted by: Silas Dec 8 2016, 09:59 PM

Claude doing interviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheer.gif

Posted by: Houdini Dec 8 2016, 10:10 PM

I think in future they should film the final five part of the programme live or closer to December, the edge from the programme is removed slightly knowing that things could potentially get spoiled. They should follow The X Factor's example.

Posted by: Brett-Butler Dec 8 2016, 10:10 PM

Claude doing the interviews wasn't the same last year as since he became an adviser, he wasn't as vicious in his takedowns of the candidates as he'd got to know them over the course of the process. Hopefully he'll be back to form this year.

Posted by: Jack Dec 9 2016, 12:03 AM

Grainne definetly should have gone imo, she did absolutely nothing! I quite liked Trishna despite her flaws.

Posted by: J▲hq Dec 9 2016, 12:12 AM

Perfect result for me as Trishna was my least favourite of those left. Jessica, Courtney and Alana are my faves so that team had to win!

Posted by: Slade Dec 9 2016, 12:25 AM

Oh not sure I've posted this in here yet but I've had SUCH a turnaround for Jessica! The first few weeks I found her super annoying but she's grown to be very loveable.

Grainne should have gone but Trishna isn't massively essential anyway.

Watching this week's episode I had a feeling it would be her. She's starting to get the winner's edit and right now is the only one who sticks out as a potential winner! She's also the one who's grown the most. I can see Jessica coming second to her and then ending up on Big Brother next year haha like Luisa Zissman.

Posted by: Jingle Burbes Dec 9 2016, 02:58 PM

I'm interested to see which one will get the annual annihilation at the interviews! My money's on Frances.

Posted by: Houdini Dec 9 2016, 04:35 PM

Without giving the outcome of the winner/next elimination away are all of your spoiler tag posts in relation to what Alan Sugar did on Twitter earlier this week?

Posted by: WiseManFromLeeds Dec 9 2016, 04:38 PM

Not read any of the spoilers but I think Alana is the most likely to win - she seems like the most confident person in there. I don't know who could finish second but I wouldn't be surprised if Fran did - they've been going on about the fact she's lost 8 out of 10 tasks way too much.

Trishna was the right choice to go imo, I think they could have got orders if she wasn't so unwilling to budge on the colour.

Posted by: Conderella Dec 9 2016, 05:42 PM

I don't know why they are going on and on about Frances losing so many tasks. First of all, it wasn't her specifically who lost the tasks (Courtney, on the other hand, has always been on the lucky side having never been in the BR). And when she was the PM, she SMASHED it! Second of all, everyone seems to forget Tom from season 7 who f***ing won having lost 8/11 tasks! I mean come on.

Still, Alana to win plz~

Posted by: Jonjo Dec 9 2016, 05:57 PM

Alana and Jessica were head and shoulders above everyone else this week (and Jess absolutely smashed it last week). The first time during the whole series where I thought they were legit contenders as I found Alana to be quite weak until about 2 or 3 weeks or so ago and since then she's toughened up a bit and not taken shit from anyone.

Courtney was extremely lucky he had those two this week. He was a disaster. Trishna rightfully got fired. She was bad and bland af. Even when merry! Graine has lost all winner aspects these last couple of weeks too. It's literally like her and Jess have switched! She's a mess, which is a shame to see. Frances is a great candidate, but a big snake!

Well quite. Courtney's been fairly useless and has just gotten incredibly lucky, Frances is on the other end of that despite never making any sort of slip-up herself, which is why she's still there after all - I'd forgotten how big her win was, I just went back to look, it was utterly huge. There's often a good candidate who suffers a large amount of losses and gets pulled up on it even though most of the time they're one of the few good things about the losing team. Tom certainly. Mark, the winner a couple of seasons ago also had quite a large number of losses despite being competent.

Jessica, Alana and Frances seem the most competent ones now - and I'd never thought I'd be including Jessica in that.

Posted by: Slade Dec 15 2016, 10:05 PM

Alana on the other hand is brilliant so her to win!

Posted by: jase. Dec 15 2016, 10:08 PM

Yeah Alana's obviously winning this wub.gif

Posted by: sorryislayed Dec 16 2016, 12:08 AM

No idea why he picked Courtney, nothing to him whatsoever!

Posted by: gooddelta Dec 16 2016, 11:56 AM

Possibly the most one-sided final ever then? Alana is fantastic while Courtney is drab. Should have been Frances in the final, even if Lord Sugar couldn't have made it more obvious that he's going to pick Alana as the winner by putting her straight into the final before mulling over the others for ages.

Posted by: Christmas Dec 16 2016, 12:37 PM

Delighted for Alana, been cheering her on the most but I do actually think it was one of the strongest Final Fives in a while (impressive considering how dire everyone was at the start). I think it made a difference that they were all running their own businesses currently which I think is the first time that has happened? It shows that they are definitely in the process to expand their businesses rather than maybe going in just to hopefully get some cash from Lord Sugar and magically have a business appear. I'm sure last year they all went on You're Fired and said they're not pursuing their business ideas anymore which showed the lack of support that they individually had for their ideas. It means that, for the first time, I don't have any complaints that someone got so far with a shit business plan even though they were a strong candidate. Grianne's only problem was that it was too much at once, there would have been a good plan in their somewhere.

I really wanted to root for Jessica but all I have in my head is Helen Wood so I just have a BLOCK on her and it doesn't help when she's using very minor celebs of the same calibre as Helen for her business model.

Surely he can't pick Courtney over Alana though, taking into consideration both their plans and their personal qualities. Courtney is a a good designer but is a terrible pitcher and I can't see him as a leader. Alana may lack confidence but she lead the team very well in Week 3. Courtney's plan can be quite risky because some things do depend on luck, e.g. hoping something catches on, and even then you always get the copycats like Lord Sugar said.

If he does pick Courtney, that means he'll have 5 males business partners to one female and it'll be the second time he's turned down the cake business in the final 2. Praying for an Alana win!

Posted by: Jingle Burbes Dec 16 2016, 03:30 PM

Pretty sure Alana has got this in the bag. She's a good candidate with a strong plan. Courtney on the other hand is lacking in his personal qualities and probably poses a slightly bigger risk with his business. Lord Sugar has a history of playing it safe when investing in a winner, so I'm pretty sure he will go with the relatively safe option of Alana.

Posted by: Wombanta Claus Dec 18 2016, 11:20 PM

Rightful winner, far better business and much better winning 'journey', she was quite unfairly picked on at various points in the process and definitely proved herself over the weeks. I am glad Courtney got the pitch right, he's not my favourite, but I do have a slight soft spot for him, I kinda see a bit of myself in him with his presentation issues.

I died at Karthik putting 'I'm ordering online' over that phone shot in Courtney's advert *_*

Posted by: Silas Dec 18 2016, 11:33 PM

Very pleased with the winner. Her expressive face means I saw a lot of myself in Alana but mostly I'm pleased because she really is what this show is supposed to be about. A good compitent business person who grows and shows that they are a good all rounder with the skills and personality and drive to be successful
