Alanis Morisslay to win tbh.
I'd obviously love a Leona win but out of the major contenders (Rih, Brit, Madonna, Katy, Beyonce) I'd want a Rihanna win.

Kicking off this thing is US piano-pop singer Rachel Platten, currently enjoying a huge worldwide smash with Fight Song - a potential UK #1 in the coming weeks maybe. She is also known for her BJSC winning song 1000 Ships.
Eurovision winner Lena has had steady success on Buzzjack since 2010, and her recent album Crystal Sky seems to be keeping that up as she just about clings to a place in this countdown.
Newcomer NatalinaRose enjoyed a breakout hit with Somebody earlier this year (which also went top 5 for Jayrusalem in BJSC) and she about to release her follow-up All Around The World in the UK while working on her debut album. Potentially one to watch for a considerable climb in 2016?
BANKS had a lot of hype around her debut release but commercially sadly has yet to take off. However, she has enough support on Buzzjack to make it to this final so yay for her.
Gabrielle Aplin was launched to fame with her #1 hit The Power Of Love in 2012, and since then she has released an album and is about to release another. To add to that, she is 94th here thanks to fans of quirky voiced singer-songwriters banding together, slay.
Idina Menzel screeches the competition away, largely thanks to her role in Frozen which spawned a megahit in Let It Go. That, or people are fans of her Glee character Shelby *.*
Janelle Monae hasn't released an album for a couple of years, but her 2015 single Yoga saw her branch out to a more trap infuenced hip-hop sound and besides, her 2010 album The ArchAndroid is still hugely critically acclaimed and a favourite for many.
Finishing this section is the runner-up of 2010's series of The X Factor, Rebecca Ferguson, who was on my bedroom wall for about 3 years (highlight of her career). Sadly, her most recent album was just a Nina Simone covers album.
Can the previous position be included? It's very interesting to track the progression.

Romanian dance queen Inna kicks off this section. She's only achieved a few UK hits but is a big star in mainland Europe and racks up millions upon millions of views on Youtube. She recently released her new album which features summer anthem We Wanna.
One of the original Disney queens, Hilary Duff had a few UK hits in the mid 00s. She recently returned after an 8 year break between albums with Breathe In Breathe Out, which has actually been one of the best of the year.
Beverley Knight hasn't been heard of too much on the music scene recently, but she has some tunes and a fanbase clearly. Her forum still having Buzzjack impact *.*
Tina Turner is one of music's undisputable legends, who I expect a lot of us will have grew up hearing through parents, I expect she'll have a place on this for years to come.
Iggy Azalea is one of the most talked about artists of the last year or so, usually for the wrong reasons.... She does have some tunes but isn't the most talented and gets quite a flack. But I expected her to be higher, I feel like 86th is a quite embarrassing showing for her?!
Mary J Blige is a legend of R&B, often touted as queen of hip-hop soul, so I imagine she'd have sweeped high votes from a few people who love that kind of thing. She's had steady commercial success for years now, and recently released her album The London Sessions with help from the likes of Disclosure.
Ella Eyre is STILL yet to release her debut album Feline, and she's still chasing that elusive solo top 10. Her next single Good Times, released soon, seems like her last chance really. Maybe by the 2016 edition of this Feline might have actually been released!
Alanis Morissette broke records that are still untouched with Jagged Little Pill 20 years ago, and is still an angst queen now. Her last album was 3 years ago, but she is working on new material right now, including a special re-recording of JLP.
Dannii Minogue lives in Kylie's shadow, poor ha. It's especially true here, where she only gets to #82 while Kylie was last year's top 10! Whether her sister keeps that up is yet to be seen. Dannii herself is working on new "music" as well as judging her 3rd series of The X Factor in Australia.
Finishing this section is booty queen Meghan Trainor, who currently sits at #1 in the UK alongside Charlie Puth. She shot to fame with her debut All About That Bass and also scored a UK #1 album, "doing a Katy Perry" in the process by breaking out of being the one hit wonder we all expected.
Sorry the results are a bit slow tonight, there's one more set coming and I didn't have time to do write ups today, I'm doing the rest later on or tomorrow morning so they'll be done in time
Alanis too low
Idina *.*
If Kylie can't win (which she probably won't), I'm fully behind Britney to get it

Little Boots released her third album Working Girl recently, but it was a dip commercially (again) and didn't get a good reception on here either... Still, she manages a respectable 80th.
Diana Vickers is a favourite of our very own mod Ryan, but his stanning could only take her so far This is 2 places lower than her last charting single Cinderella
Debbie Harry is known primarily as the frontwoman of the iconic band Blondie, but she also had a solo career. I expect it's Blondie most/all of you are fond of - everyone loves a bit of Heart Of Glass, Call Me and Maria <3
Jennifer Hudson is one of the most successful American Idol contestants despite coming only 7th - she's even won an Oscar! She also has arguably one of the most powerful voices of our generation so it's no wonder she has fans on here.
Alesha Dixon's star is fading musically, but she's just judged yet another series of Britain Got Talent and had the power to veto her own single from charting because it was going to flop embarrassingly. Anyway, The Boy Is Nothing remains a career smashing classic tbh.
Jhene Aiko is farily new on the scene, but is hugely critically acclaimed with her smooth R&B. I'm surprised she was this high but she could one to watch to climb a bit higher soon maybe?
Sofi Marinova... yeah. She's on this list we'll leave it there.
Foxes is only 73rd, which will sadden her resident loons Cam/Nelly </3 She had a solid first era and is gearing up to release her second album after slaying all pop fans with its lead single Body Talk.
The second most relevant Destiny's Child (such a feat) makes it to #72, wd Kelly Rowland *.* She started off as more successful than Beyonce until Beyonce released her debut album in 2003, but Kelly still has racked up various tunes and hits since then and done ok for herself. YOU PUT IT DOWN BABY GIRL on X Factor being the highlight of her career ofc x
Finally for this section, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is 71st despite nobody caring about her imminent new album because her style is too different to suit her </3). The power of her amaze first two albums and her earth shattering classic Battlefield is clearly too much to hold back *.*
Foxes ha flop
f***! Something compelled me to click on the Alanis link. Had forgotten about 'Uninvited' for YEARS.
God bless.

La Roux released her second album in 2014, and whilst to me it wasn't as good as their first and it failed to capture the same commercial success, she manages to make the top 70 here.
Pixie Lott's biggest fan Lee Wallace sadly has less success here than in everything else, she finishes 68 places lower than he has in everything on Buzzjack recently. *insert lad joke about Pixie being at 69*
Sorry but who are you? Natalie Imbruglia is an irrelevant Aussie female, surprisingly one who I don't stan She's not done much in the 10s until releasing her latest album Male, aside from judge Australian X Factor in 2010 (and an iconic guest judging spot in the UK version in the same year where she oversaw Ablisa's performance) but she's a firm favourite for many on here clearly.
Rachel Stevens' solo career is the one good thing to come out of S Club 7 x All she's done recently is judge The Voice in Ireland but her 2005 album Come & Get It has always an outstanding critical reception for an album by a floppy ex pop group member and clearly has a lasting impact.
Hayley Williams is the frontwoman of Paramore, but has had solo forays with guest appearances on songs by Zedd and B.o.B.. I thought she'd be a bit higher, she certainly deserves it as the very talented frontwoman of one the best bands in the world.
Solange lives in the shadow of her sister, Dannii Minogue teas ~ But she makes a decent indent here despite a lack of commercial success, I know Losing You is very well received here, as it should be <3
Carrie Underwood is a country queen, and also the most successful Idol winner in the US alongside Kelly Clarkson. She's racked up millions upon millions of album sales and a record number of country chart hits, but only recently broke into the UK with her 2012 album Blown Away peaking at #11. A new era is coming v soon too *.*
Lorde is around the same age as a lot of us, except unlike us she achieved a 9 week US #1 at the age of 16... She's quite pretentious and up hersef as a person I find, but her album was very solid.
Celine Dion is one of the best voices ever, and one of music's most iconic females, so she'll probably always have a place here. She was the firsr ever female to score two million sellers in the 90s, fun fact.
Finishing this section is one of Australia's biggest local artists of the 00s. Delta Goodrem had brief success in the UK (Innocent Eyes is 3x platinum) but she's just racked up her 9th Australian #1 nearly 13 years after her first and possesses one of the top 5 biggest selling albums in Australian history. She's also in a rivalry with Jessie J on The Voice at the moment, which is making for amazing viewing *.* "DONE WITH THIS SHIT", queen.
Iggy being that low after the past year is ridiculous The backlash she's had on here is crazy.
Some of my faves out in that last section - Delta, Natalie and Carrie
Pixie *.*

Melanie C is the only Speece Gurl on this list, slay. Her latest album Stages was released in 2013 but overall she's arguably been the most consistent solo Spice and had a top 20 hit as recently as 2013 alongside Matt Cardle. Meanwhile Geri is scraping top 300 in Australia even with an Australia's Got Talent Performance *whistles*
Sophie Ellis-Bextor is next. It's no secret I am not a fan of hers, but as a watered down posh Kylie I guess she was always going to have fans on here. She had a mini revival in 2014 with her folky album Wanderlust going silver and peaking in the top 5.
Rita Ora gets some criticism for being basic but she's had great commercial success so far and seems to have her fans on here too. Having branched out into TV judging with both The Voice and X Factor this year, her star looks set to rise alongside the release of her second album later this year.
Loreen's career took off after winning Eurovision in 2012, and she's soon to release her 2nd album. Nothing since has eclipsed the manic meltdown of Buzzjack over Euphoria but she continues to stun us and win fans with her amazing singles since then.
Also in 2012, Emeli Sande was completely inescapable. Every other X Factor auditionee would sing Read All About It, Heart FM would spam Next To Me and her album wouldn't budge from #1. 3 years later and she's noticeably more quiet, so maybe people like her again. She has a good voice anyway and tbf it was a good album.
Ella Henderson is the focus on much Buzzjack scandal as she has her very own stan spamming us with more posts than there are sold copies of Ghost (and that's a lot *.*) x Having shockingly finished only 6th on X Factor, she's not done too badly for herself so here's hoping that can continue with her second era.
Jess Glynne is, like Rita from this section, somewhat criticised for being basic but it seems to have worked for her to (potentially, by this Friday) match Cheryl's #1 record in just over a year of being active! Her album is out soon and already features four #1s, but Don't Be So Hard On Yourself could make it a 5th on Friday.
Demi Lovato is lower than I hoped/thought People criticise her personality and "screechy" voice but personally she's one of my favourites. She seems to be winning over previous critics with her new lead single Cool For The Summer so hopefully that continues throughout the era.
Nicole Scherzinger is another Wall fave, 17 places above Pixie *.* Her star has very much faded since she left X Factor, with her tissue paper certified album Big Fat Lie flopping supported by barely charting singles On The Rocs and Run, poor ha.
Soulful queen Jessie Ware tops this section. Her stunning debut Devotion wowed critics and fans, and her 2014 album Tough Love seems to have won you guys over too as she just misses out on a top 50 placing.
Alexmandra top 50 *.*
Sad to see Loreen so low tho
Tbh i'm quite suprised Jess Glyne is that high she seems to get a lot of flack on here.
Jessie Ware just missing out on the top 50 by one spot.
Sophie
Glad to see Jessie Ware reasonably high here, one of the best live performers I've ever seen.
Loreen is about where I thought she'd be tbh. Had she released her 2nd album this year (and it being as good as the singles released have suggested it to be) then I probably would've expected her to be top 30.
Also, AMAZING song choice for Mel C <3 My favourite of hers! Yes, even beating the likes of 'When You're Gone', 'I Turn To You', 'Next Best Superstar'...
Hopefully Demi climbs next year as her current era has all the ingredients to become her biggest yet I think!
Jessie Ware got higher than I expected and I am very pleased. Tough Love is one of the albums that is consistently good from the beginning to the end.
Natalie Imbruglia is a bit low at 68.
Demi Lovato should be much higher, such an underrated artist, definitely much better than Nicole Scherzinger whose solo career is pretty much dead
I'm surprised Alexandra Burke made the top 50. She hasn't really had much of a profile since 2012 (and I guess even that is pushing it).
#NewRules still making that impackt tbh.
Ha legacy lives on
I'm surprised Ella Henderson and Lorde are not top 50. Especially Lorde, she deserved so much better !
Nicole is way to low. WTF Buzzjack
More results to come tomorrow, I'll try and get them finished then if not Saturday, sorry had a terrible day.
No worries Liam, can't wait for the rest of the top 50!
Get well soon Liam and come back to give queen Cheryl her crown

Shania Twain hasn't released an album for 13 years, but luckily one is coming soon (next year, fingers crossed)! Her classic record breaking album Come On Over is enough to carry on her legacy 18 years on *.*
Aaliyah is the 3rd highest dead artist on this list, following her tragic untimely death at the age of 22 in 2001. She was really just taking off, obviously we can never know but I feel like she could have really been massive if she was still alive.
Paloma Faith was recently announced as the new coach for The Voice, but she's already one of the biggest British females in music with consistently impressive album sales. Her quirky style has won her fans although she's yet to really break out WW apart from a couple of Aussie hits (including a #1 for Only Love Can Hurt Like This).
Charli XCX has Sia syndrome really - I liked her a lot more before she broke out! She seems quite divisive on here, but obviously has enough fans to finish fairly high, higher than I expected really!
Anastacia released an album as recently as last year, although her days of real commercial success are unfortunately way behind her. Her powerful voice is very distinctive; you always know who you're hearing.
Kelis is again past her best commercially, but she's shifted though a good few styles that most people probably like some of her stuff. And clearly enough of you like her as a whole for her to place decently here.
Tove Lo is a fairly new face on the international scene, although the hipsters among us like me fell in love with her with Habits in 2013 (and even before that, I entered Evil Spawn to BJSC in 2012 ). She's had international hits with Habits and Talking Body, both critically and commerically.
Jessie J won a most hated thing on Buzzjack not long ago I recall - clearly she's marmite enough to have a fair bit of love too. She's curretly busy blowing her own trumpet and warring with Delta Goodrem on The Voice in Australia, as well as not really selling many records
Katy B released he latest album in 2014, supported by her universally lauded single Crying For No Reason. She bridges a good gap between pop females and underground dance, appealing to both fanbases, so it's no surprise she has fans here!
Just missing the top 40 is former "nation's sweetheart" Cheryl, who is racking up yet another year judging The X Factor. After her success with Girls Aloud, Cheryl set the record for the most #1s for a British solo female - 5. Jess Glynne might match that today, so Cheryl might have to up her game next album to keep the record
I am glad Cheryl is that low, I was dreading the GA forum coming out in force!
Those song choices for Paloma, Charli, Kelis, Tove Lo and Jessie.
I'm glad Jessie is not as high as I thought she might have been. I need to check out what she's like on The Voice Australia. I was one of the few who enjoyed watching her on the UK version - probably for the wrong reasons.

Fergie kicks off the top 40, having released her first proper solo single in years (aside from the soundtrack single A Little Party Never Killed Nobody) L.A. Love in 2014. Hopefully that leads to an album this year.... We've waited far too long, 9 years since The Dutchess!!!
Selegend Gomez *.* Finishing higher than her bestie Demi, but lower than Miley Cyrus, she's in a good position here Disney wise. She's been solo for the past couple of years after being behind "The Scene" since 2009, and recently had a smash WW with Good For You - this could be a massive era for her.
Ariana Grande found fame on Nickelodeon but she seems to really have shaken that tag and become one of the big pop girls rather than an ex kids' star. One Last Time is one of the absolute best pop songs of the year and she had a huge hit with Problem worldwide, as well as finding time to lick doughnuts and wish her fans would "f***ing die" in between all that.
Alicia Keys has had fairly consistent success over the past 15 years or so, especially with 2009's The Element Of Freedom in the UK. Due to her starting a family, it's been 3 years since her last album but she's still doing well here.
Even though her career is "on hold" (), Alexandra Burke manages to finish as high as #36! Her 2012 album Heartbreak On Hold was terminal to my ears, with about 3 decent tracks on it and the rest being awful... But her 2009 slayage is still residual clearly, Overcome *.*
Surprised Fergie managed top 40, tbh.

Carly Rae Jepsen has actually been in music for 7 years, although 2012's Call Me Maybe catapaulted her to international fame. Since then she's released two albums, including the recently released E-MO-TION, which features the universally praised soon-to-be (hopefully!!) smash Run Away With Me <3 Her pure pop music harks back to the 80s so it's easy to see why she has a lot of fans on here.
Lily Allen might have disappointed some fans with her 2013 album Sheezus, but they're still loyal enough to see her though to finish this high! My own interest in her has waned in recent years, but I always treasure her first two albums *.*
Ke$ha is misconceived by far too many people as some talentless party whore, but if they bothered to listen to her more they'd know she has countless ballads <3 Being much more versatile than her singles might show, Ke$ha's one of the more underrated pop girls recently - especially as Warrior flopped horrifically
Miley Cyrus is the highest of all the Disney girls - sorry Raven Symone fans she isn't still to come x She's always had success in the UK, but became the first (and so far onyl) Disney girl to have a #1 in 2013, with the massive Bangerz era bringing her great success. She's looking at releasing her next album for free :
Finishing this section is indie darling Florence Welch, who recently released her third album which went straight to #1. Her powerful voice elevates her songs to another level, and she's even had a pumping dance #1 in 2012 with Spectrum - assisted by Calvin Harris.
I agree on Ke$ha she is very underrated. Although the whole rape thing is pretty weird.

Nelly Furtado has been long lost to irrelevancy, but even just 9 years ago she was one of the big pop girls. Loose sold 12 million copies worldwide; 1.1 million in the UK alone! Fast forward 6 years and the follow up Spirit Indestructible probaby barely sold 20k worldwide... It's easy to think of what could have been but if she hadn't left it so long she could have carried on being huge
Mariah Carey's star has also been much brighter in the past, although she had a sizeable hit as recently as 2013 with Beautiful! Nonetheless, she's one of the biggest female artists of all time and has a huge legacy.
Sia was always underrated pre-2011, and I spent a lot of time wishing she'd break out internationally. So it's quite ironic I kind of want to just go away now Her music just doesn't have the same magic and spark anymore, it's all more generic and a bit dull. Chandelier is a monster though.
Tinashe is the newest artist in the top 40, having made such an impact with one album She's one of the most horrifically underrated artists in this whole countdown commerically - Aquarius only peaked at #78 in the UK :/ Not since Aaliyah has an R&B female had such potential, I just pray her second album gets more attention!
Marina & The Diamonds flitted between styles from the quirky Family Jewels to the poptastic Electra Heart, but 2015's Froot has been a decent mix of the two (if not as strong as either, at all). Really, her discography has something to please everybody and everybody should love her tbh.
'Froot' completely killed any kind of hype I had for Marina. The first two albums were so perfect and perfectly to my tastes and barring one or two songs, 'Froot' was just really underwhelming and overrated on here. The structure of most of the songs was pretty much "wash, rinse, repeat" and I just couldn't get on board fully! 'I'm A Ruin' is probably my favourite song of hers to date though. SO beautifully haunting. <3
Tinashe is about where I had hoped she'd be at the very least so I'm very happy with her placing. Hopefully she will smash with her 2nd album (I really believe she will!) Her first proper era was about creating that solid fanbase, and she did it PERFECTLY. I'm not anything near as strong as 'Aquarius', but I am SO ready to be slain in whatever way possible!

Janet Jackson is one of the most iconic females in music history - she rivalled Madonna at the height of her fame in the US. Without her, there wouldn't be so many of our favourite artists tbh. She pushed so many boundaries at the time, broke records... She might not be such a force anymore but her next album is due very soon to add to her legacy *.*
Gwen Stefani hasn't released a solo album for 9 years, but in the interim her band No Doubt have released an album. Nonetheless, even today What You Waiting For is a song that remains untouched - it pushed boundaries and there still hasn't been anything like it since. She racked up countless hits, I just hope she can return to that. I refuse to acknowledge Spark The Fire being a single tbh....
Robyn is seen as overrated by some, but it's a testament to her perfect pop that she's top 30 here! 8 years later and I think With Every Heartbeat is still one of the most surprising #1s I can rememebr, but fully deserved <3 She's quite slow to release albums, but what we do have is pretty great, so many pop classics.
Shakira has also declined in success, with her 2014 album not attracting much attention at all. However, Hips Don't Lie and Whenever Wherever are both two of the biggest selling songs of the 21st century worldwide, and she's a huge name in both English and Spanish speaking territories. Up the goats tbh.
Just missing out on the top 20 is depression queen Lana Del Rey. Born To Die supplies all the tunes for anyone's down days, it's the perfect album of that type. Ultraviolence.... yeah we'll not go there. The musical equvalent of girls at Coachella wearing flower crowns pretending to be high after one pill. Here's hoping Honeymoon is better
Top 20 will come tomorrow!
Apparently Janet's career "died" right after the Super Bowl controversy. That's what I've read anyway - it caused so much outrage across conservative America that she never managed to recover since. It's weird if that was the case since JT was actually the one at fault (if one of them was).
Lana 19 places too low
Kesha shoulda bedn higher
Yes Janet Jackson throughout the late 80's, the 90's and very early 00's, she was a force to be reckoned with, but in 2004 it all fell apart with that superbowl controversy, which wasn't quite fair, seeing as Justin Timberlake went unscathed, she could have carried on her winning streak for much longer and had a few more years at the top. Her Damita Jo album was so underrated and would have been huge if that superbowl thing never happened. Even it's singles would have definitely performed better if they weren't blacklisted by TV and radio stations.
She sort of bounced back with "Call On Me" with Nelly in 2006, but that didn't restore any former glory and plus that 20 Y.O. wasn't very great. I remember watching a documentary about her, and after that incident she kinda lost interest and wasn't very invested in the album, telling her co-writers to write some of the songs themselves, she just lost her edge and that's part of the reason it bombed.
Then there was the "Discipline" album in 2008, which was her last album and first with a new label. But again that didn't take off, she had a minor US hit with "Feedback", but bombed worldwide and the album itself didn't fare any better, and the songs on there just weren't up to scratch, along with this and 20 Y.O. Neither of which showed any progression in sound, just going for that over sexed image and sound, which people were already bored off and just showed that she had given up on herself. Which was such a shame seeing an artist start off with such great material with Control>Rhythm Nation>Janet>The Velvet Rope>All For You>Damita Jo. Then being reduced to the crap of her last 2 albums. Her creativity kinda just went in 2004 and she just stopped trying.
I was so glad when it was announced that she was making a comeback this year, and "No Sleep" sounded very decent and very unlike what's in the charts today, okay she may not get the success she once had, but as long as she can produce some great material and get decent album sales, then she can start restoring her Jackson legacy one step at a time.
I think Feedback only did really well because she somehow got a radio deal, which is odd given radio wouldn't touch her (as a rule) for years Oh well, the controversy can't take away the impact she had at the height of her fame and all the influence she's had on so many artists since, all the boundaries she pushed <3
Yesssss at Ciara being top 20 !

Ciara kicks off the top 20, which is a pleasantly surprising deserved position <3 She always feels so underrated commercially, she's very consistent album wise but hasn't had much success in years (apart from a couple of top 75 singles) Given what she's done with no support, it's easy to imagine how big she could be with a bit of support...
Jennifer Lopez has been a fixture in pop for over 15 years and released her latest album in 2014. Her career and commercial success was revived for a while thanks to the biggest hit of her career, 2011's On The Floor, after a bit of a dry period. She's also known for being a mami chulo and slaying women who are 20 years younger than her by being one of the hottest women in pop at 46 years old.
I don't think I'm capable of writing nice things about Avril Lavigne, my distaste for the woman is well documented She's been famous from an early age and still acts like she's stuck at the same age... She does have some good songs, to her credit, about 3 or 4, so yay for that x
Nicki Minaj is the nu Queen of rap, which is evident from her being over 50 places higher than Iggy She effortlessly flits between urban tunes and pop bangers, meaning she has many fans across both genres and within her discography there's pretty much something for everyone.
She hasn't released anything since 2012's Lotus, but Christina Aguilera has a legacy of classics that will always see high in this I imagine. Seemingly diminished by her peer Britney Spears, Xtina just misses the top 15 whereas Britney is figthing to maintain last year's crown. Christina has a powerful voice fit for versatility, meaning she has many fans and I expect virtually everyone likes at least one of her songs.

The second highest artist to have a poshthumous entry on this countdown is Whitney Houston, who sadly died 3 years ago. Throughout the 80s and 90s, she released a horde of classic ballads as well as uptempos, and won huge numbers of fans, with many of her songs going down as classic.
Leona Lewis has majorly flagged commercially with this era, and even fans seem to be liking her stuff less. However, as a talent Leona is up there with the best and that's partly what carried her career for so long. Recent instant grat Another Love Song sees Leona at her best but moving in a new direction, so hopefully things are back on the right track soon.
Adele has been out of the spotlight for a couple of years now, with her last release being 2012's Bond theme Skyfall. It's taking a long while for her to push out 25 because of the birth of her son, but she broke records with 21 and will probably shift a fair few copies when it does come!
Ellie Goulding has had a meteoric rise from shy new British talent to one of the big pop girls! It's astonishing how far she's come, but she deserves it with all her talent. It's rumoured she could be doing the Bond theme, but it seems that her own lead single is coming so that seems unlikely. Either way I'm sure she will slay!
Just missing the top 10 is Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue. She has a fair sized fanbase on here and had consistent chart success for a good 25 years or so, although she is sadly slowly fading into a fanbase act. She's had Spinning Around to really revive her fledging career in 2000, but can she do it again? Stranger things have happened
Yay for Avril, Ellie, Adele and Leona top 20
Jenny and LeLe
I don't get how Adele isn't even top10
I'm actually surprised Leona made it as high as #14. I was looking through the rates and I didn't think she was featured in that many to warrant such a high placing. Unless I've completely missed her, I assume Amy Winehouse is the last posthumous entry to come. Would this be the first time she's charted in the top 10 in this rate since its launch?
So we have in the top 10
Britney
Rihanna
Beyonce
Taylor
Amy
Madonna
Katy
Who else is left ?
Pink, Kelly, Gaga and Katy

Even though she has among the most consistent commercial success rate of any recent popstar, Pink is never really placed up there with the big pop girls. It's a shame really, because talent wise and musically Pink is a force to be reckoned with! To be fair though, I myself underrate her often! I never realise how great she is or how much of her stuff I like until I talk about her, hear her etc. and it all comes back to me! She can easily be the angry ex girlfriend but she's at her best, for me, with her tender ballads - particularly the underrated I Don't Believe You <3

MY QUEEN *tries to be somewhat neutral* has bbeen one of the most talked about stars in the world for this past year, between releasing her first fully pop (no country) album 1989, smashing sales records, touring left right and centre and having an ever so slightly publicised feud with Katy Perry (and Spotify, come to think of it!)... Love her or hate her, Taylor is probably the biggest of all the pop girls in the world right now! It's mind boggling to imagine the girl next door crying into her guitar over Drew who I fell in love with in 2009 would go on to become an unstoppable pop force.
*fails to be neutral x*
The Regina George in sheepclothing losing to Katy. It was only right
I'm so surprised but happy Amy is in the top 10 !

The highest artist to get a poshthumous placement on this list is Amy Winehouse, who died 4 years ago at the age of just 27. Her second album (and final in her lifetime) Back To Black is one of the biggest selling albums ever in the UK, having shifted a mammoth 3.5 million copies, and garnered her critical success too as well as bags of awards. Sadly, the follow up never materialised, unless you count the patchy poshthumous collection Lioness. Amy was undeniably one of the greatest voices of our generation, effortlessly adding bags of soul and a real jazzy flavour to anything she performed. In her short career, Amy's legacy is wider and greater than many artists who've been around twice or three times as long as her! It's such a shame her god given talent was addled by personal problems and the monster that is addiction

Nobody can really deny Madonna is the most iconic female popstar of all time. Since the early 80s, Madonna's touched upon basically every style imaginable in some way or another, and nailed most of them! At her peak, she was pretty much untouchable and those levels of domination haven't really been seen since. From disco to ambience to rave to folk to country to good old pure pop, Madonna has something to please fans of any genre and had more hits than anyone could shake any amount of sticks at. She might be past her former glory, but with her glory she leaves behind a legacy that any artist could only dream of.

Just falling short of the top 5 by a mere two points is Lady Gaga. Known for her outlandish fashion as well as her perfect pop, Stefani Angelina Germanotta has been a big talking point ever since she first hit fame. Her latest album Artpop didn't hold up her commercial standard but she's coming back to slay.... And actually Cheek To Cheek didn't do too badly for a jazz album side project. She might be at her peak right now, but who knows, she could come back around again and slay even harder than ever.

Opening up the top 5 is the queen of pop/rock, who defined the last half of the 00s for me. Breakaway is THE best album of all time and sold over 2 million in the UK - that run of singles *.* She's the only one of this top 5 who's released an album this year, although Piece By Piece is far from her best (still good though)! Like Pink earlier on (to a lesser extent), Kelly has actually had consistent success (albeit much less than Breakaway) for years now but seems to get overlooked by some. As the most successful American Idol winner worldwide by far, Kelly has proven that talent show contestants can last in the music business.

One of the best voices of our generation, Beyoncé has won fans as a triple threat. She can sing rings around pretty much anyone, she can dance and she can even act! Dreamgirls >>>> tbh. Most recently, her 2013 self titled album was released without any prior announcement and "to Beyoncé" has now become a verb in itself. The album was a critical and commercial success, as Bey flirted with all different genres across the spectrum to make a masterpiece of an album, one of the best of the past couple of years. She has even eaten up the Destiny's Child forum and made her own, poor Kelly and Michelle.

I never thought 7 years ago when I Kissed A Girl came out that Katy would be on of the big pop girls mere years later! It sounded so much like a novelty hit. Despite how big that was, Katy has outdone it since and bagged countless hits in just a matter of years. Katy always seems to get it right when it comes to perfect, carefree, fun pop that doesn't take itself too seriosuly, but Dark Horse is the best use of trap in pop ever tbh so she can do other styles as well. Currently embroiled in a fued with Taylor Swift, there hasn't been much news on Katy's next album but with Teenage Dream smashing records and Prism doing well, she's sure to keep up her good work.
Katy Great to see her so high!
Britney HAS to win this, no question.
So it's Britney vs. Rihanna for the #1, but can the pop princess retain her crown or will Rihanna's edge and eye for controversy push her off her perch?
02 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ntNlH2AcFk(1037pts // 33 voters)
She was last years' winner, but sadly this time she falls to second place. This year saw her first new single in two years, Pretty Girls, which was a bit of a flop and probably her worst single ever... But her legacy is such that one flop or one bad song can't even begin to undo it. Baby One More Time remains one of the most iconic pop debuts of all time, 15 years on, and she has countless pop classics that everyone loves. She's had ups and downs in her personal life and is probably past her commercial best for now, but as recently as 2012 she smashed as a featured vocalist on will.i.am.'s Scream And Shout. Maybe if she tried promiting her own music etc. she'd do better? Either way, she's one of the most iconic pop females ever and this is a deserved high placing.

2015 hasn't been the best year for Rihanna, FourFiveSeconds smashing despite sounding like a demo of a B-Side aside (I do like it tho, no shade)... R8 is still nowhere to be seen, and 3 years since her last album is a very lengthy hiatus for the queen of popping out an album every year. Commercially, the other singles Bitch Better Have My Money and American Oxygen flopped although the former had a video that amassed a fair number of views. Anyway, enough negatives - Rihanna is one of the biggest popstars of our generation. She nailed R&B in the early days and has branched out to all sorts from dark pop to dance bangers to electronic ballads and everything in between, snatching countless #1s all over the world and selling shedloads in the process. I thought her iffy year might have seen her fall a place or two, but her legacy of tunes saw her through and she's your 2015 Ultimate Female!

What a great top 5! I can't deny Beyoyo of her top 5 placing at all, even if I am a bit more neutral to her than majority of others!
Kelly getting as highs as 5th though *.* SLAY A BIT! A shame that Britney couldn't hold on, but I've been loving Rihanna this era (I know not everyone else has) and I'm glad that if Britney was to lose out to someone it was Rihanna or Katy! (Thankfully only one of them though )
Great countdown again LiLi! Thanks for doing this
---
Do you think Buzzjack is diverse enough to get away with doing a male one nowadays?
Urgh!
Shame Kylie missed the top 10 as well.
The right winner! Well done Buzzjack 🙌🏻
There used to be all three at one point, I thin one year only the female one was actually finished and that was that haha.
There used to be, but neither ultimate male or ultimate group/band usually got finished and I'm not sure if it was due to lack of interest or the hosts of them just forgetting to finish them.
If there was interest and somebody was willing to host, there's no reason why we couldn't add either of them to the rate queue!
Thanks for the results Liam, very interesting read! Out of the top contenders I was hoping Britney would take the win, but Rihanna led throughout just about the entirety of the results so Britney or anyone else never really got close enough to challenge.
I don't mind hosting the group one at some point
Slay Rhenna *.* Why not celebrate by releasing #R8
damn if only all Britney fans has voted, u lazy bitches. Rihanna is decent winner, but Britney is Britney
Yes RiRi ! was hoping her or Beyonce would win but I knew Rihanna probably had more chance winning on this forum so I'm glad that she won
Don't mind Rihanna. I'm just glad Britney was up there and Beyonce didn't win! Gutted that Kylie wasn't top 10 though
EXCUSE THIS BUMPAGE.
But, Rihanna really is vastly overrated on this site. Would have rather had any artist from the top 10 (and almost all of the top 20) win over her. With that being said Britney's staying power and title as one of the staple pop icons remains surprisingly unscathed. Lady Gaga and Madonna should have made up the top 3. The rest of the positions in the top ten are very much deserved.
I don't dislike Rhenna, btw. As a singles artist she is brilliant, but her albums are messy to say the least. Minus 'Rated R', I find none of them exceptional.
Yes. It's me y'all.
