Now Clarkson has gone from Top Gear, what are some of your favorite specials from the team over the years, one memorable one for me is when they let the caravan catch on fire.

I liked the one where they made fun of a vulnerable minority group.

There have been loads of classic moments, though in recent years they've been less and less because it all feels very calculated. I think the one where Jeremy tried to cross the channel on a carboatthing was one of my favourites. And the polar expedition and winter olympic car games special. And India.

I've always loved the challenges such as the Amphibious Cars challenge where they had to design a car that would work on both land and water and the stretch limo challenge where they had to buy a car, turn them into stretch limos and drive Lemar, Jamelia and Chris Moyles to The Brit Awards., and trying to destroy the Toyota Pick up was a great highlight for me too from the early series.

I also liked the cheap car challenges too, where the guys were given a sum of money and they had to buy a car for that money and were given a number of challenges.

I think this was when Top Gear peaked, 2005-8 probably. Their long episodes have generally been brilliant since but the normal episodes were definitely better when it was all original, the Britcar race, the first sets of cheap car challenges and the first lots of races vs. different transport. Car football. The Peel P50 around BBC HQ.

Best ever episode for me though was when they first went to America and got pelted after decorating their cars in bible-bashing land

The 3 that gavindeejay mentioned are all personal highlights of mine too!

Others I enjoyed were the Caravan Darts way back when & the car train episode was pretty hilarious. Another favourite was Jeremy in a Bugatti Veyron racing James & Richard in what he described as a "flying washing machine", definitely one of the funniest ever episodes.

I also love this spin off TG did for Sport Relief back in 2008. 'Top Ground Gear Force'

One of the funniest things they have ever done imo laugh.gif

America, Amazon and cheap car challenges. The latter were always the highlight of the regular series.
