Not that many big names this time but Anxhela Periseri and Manjolla Nallbani are really really good singers!!!
EDIT: So I am not sure because out of the new singers and names, I don't know how much impact they have!!! |

Pretty underwhelming lineup, I wonder if Elvana's robbery last year has put off some bigger names from taking part?

I prefer Inis. If they pump up the chorus production to be more explosive it will be so SO good.

I kinda see what you are saying...the same could work for Anxhela as well especially in the last chorus where I think it could explode even more...it kinda goes into silence after second verse/chorus, I don't know maybe add more ethno sound/vocal in that section!!!

Inis or Mirud for me.
But that's bound to change. |

Mirud and Eva, although they're enjoyable semi-bops, are probably not the main contenders for the ticket to Rotterdam/A Studio in Tirana (delete accordingly).
Karma could potentially give Albania a 2019 style solid lower midtable result if it was beefed up a little (but it absolutely MUST stay in Albanian if that's going to work). Pendesë could also do about the same but it could also suffer from a classic "lost in translation" case as, similar to Shaj/Fall From The Sky last year, it was originally written in English so you'd presume they're going to translate it = which is why I think I ultimately want Anxhela to win as 'Karma' is less likely to be one of several of the same type of song so will have that extra level of uniqueness among the final set of songs. |

Mirud lol.
I mean kudos to him for doing something different and very courages especially knowing how homophobic albanians are though I would just fire whoever dressed him lol. Inis and Anxhela seems like are the best options but I wouldn't be surprised if they actually DNQ next year (of course it depends on the competition but nothing screams big hit unfortunately). When I first listened to Anxhela thought it sounded big but that lasted only for like 5 minutes lol. |

I listened to some of these on Monday, I'm definitely seeing Pendesë as the most likely winner based on past Albanian form, a nice 'business as usual' Albanian entry that likely would be aiming to sneak into the final with a bit of luck. If there's one thing to differentiate it, it sounds a bit more like a big Italian ballad rather than a stereotypical Balkan one, so dramatic in a way that translates across the continent if the stage isn't filled with those types of songs (and yes, the smart money is that it will be). Could work translated but I like it quite a bit as it is.
wouldn't hate Karma, though I think it's far more likely to be seen as ropey |

It's all about Era Rusi for me, I thought it was the complete package in the first show with the song + performance. My second choice would be Inis even if it wouldn't be pushing the boat out for Albania at all and they might as well have just invited Arilena back to be singing it. She's the one I'm expecting to get the victory, 100%. Mirud would be my third choice, it's nice to see him doing it for the LGBT+ community of Albania.
"Karma" hasn't really clicked with me so far. I definitely don't hate it, but it's just...there. |
