~#30 I guess. I'd forgotten the release date was so soon, ridiculous that Radio 1 bypassed it.

Yeah so much promise, could easily have been as big as Waves but probably a top 20 scrape at best now.

As a former of my #1s I would like to see it in the top 10 at least but doesn't seem likely unfortunately sad.gif I predict 21-30 and possibly top 20 on sales tongue.gif

I really hope that labels finally start to realise that holding back releases for so long can go against them as recent examples from AronChupa etc have proved recently.

Agree with others that this would have easily been Top 5 but can now see it just making the Top 30.

Like I said to you yesterday regarding the Sheppard thing, surely its biggest problem has been not as much support as it could/should have had?

I didn't mention Sheppard because I agree, Although I do think they could have performed better if released when intended especially looking at some of the iTunes comments/complaints about the release date.

Other songs which have been held back and maybe not have been successful as they could have been are - AronChupa, The Avener... Both massive elsewhere.

I disagree. AronChupa wouldn't have done any better than it did if they'd released it earlier. It only did as well as it did because it started getting support in the North East and Scotland in the weeks leading up to the release. You can tell the demand only grew recently from how the pre-order started charting in the 200-400 range on iTunes.

Yes, and again, it's only started getting the support that it has been getting in the last month or so. There was no point in releasing it before Radio 2 got on board. These two examples have only managed to go top 40 by being held back as long as they have been.

Lost Frequencies is another one I'm disappointed to see snubbed. Hope it can go top 40.

Don't forget how bad Flutes did because it was held back for so long drama.gif kink.gif
