I'm a few episodes in — the soundtrack and cinematography are really fantastic.
I know the criticism has been that it's just another straight love story but it has already broached various topics — consent, mental health, bullying, domestic abuse — in a fairly nuanced and realistic way that just isn't present in a lot of similar media. I'm glad that is being shown in a healthy way. This post has been edited by blacksquare: 3rd May 2020, 01:20 PM |

Sat all day and watched this with the wife who cried the whole way through it.
Really good though, sort of was able to relate to it as it was very realistic of moving from a rural Irish town to the big smoke for uni. |

I watched it all and found it weirdly addictive.
There’s not that much to it though and at odd times I was watching like what like it didn’t follow on greatly if that makes sense I had to keep checking I was watching in the right order. But I did enjoy it |

Yeh was like different chapters of the book.
Very relatable to my experience of uni not fitting in and all! |

been watching it at a very slow pace and finally finished! loved it!
nothing big happens in most episodes but I kinda like that in a tv series they also used great songs, in particular Lisa Hannigan's Undertow at the end of episode 4, Nerina Pallot's cover of Love will tear us apart and Ry X - Berlin This post has been edited by Bjork: 18th May 2020, 12:21 PM |

Yeh 'Berlin' was perfect for it especially with the episode in Sweden due to the snow and all.

I have already had the chance to see the first two episodes and so far I'm very impressed. I've already read the book before and so far they have made a very good adaption. The two leads, especially, are cast perfectly.
