Notes:
- 'See You Again' had http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=176915 (mostly) non-iTunes sales, 'Classic' had minor sales, 'Cool Kids' had the RAC mix available on iTunes, 'In Your Arms' had a brief instant grat release that may have stayed up long enough for individual purchases, 'Turn Down For What' charted ~10 spots higher than its streaming position would suggest so I'd guess it had some sales still (but I've included it anyway as MW did report it as unavailable to download), and of course many more may have had minor non-iTunes sales regardless.
- 'Marvin Gaye' was initially available on (and selling highly from) Amazon, but, as of 12/7/15, was removed at some point. I'm not sure when that was, but its entry on the streaming chart of 5/7/15 seems to correlate well to its position on that week's top 200 so I'm considering it streaming only from then.
- 'All About That Bass' should have charted 1 week earlier (unless there was a genuine reason for ineligibility that I'm unaware of); it was #53 streaming on 31/8/14 while 'Won't Look Back' was #76 and made #169.
- 'Nothing Really Matters' (with the Afrojack remix) and 'Five More Hours' (like 'Firestone') earlier on were undoubtably down to Spotify's Today's Top Hits playlist (others would have benefited too but these are the more egregious cases).

The first week streaming counted and we had MKTO & Nico/Vinz charting I thought this would become a regular feature. To think we've only had 4 only instances since then is quite baffling really...

I'm aware the majority of tracks on held-back releases will not allow streaming until their purchasing date but given how successful the likes of Am I Wrong & All About That Bass were you'd think other labels would be doing this more regularly.

Yeah you would've thought it should definitely be a more regular occurrence!

Mind due record companies often hold back streaming availability just as long as the download pre-orders~

YAY Meghan smashing it streaming wise. I want this to shoot up to top 10 on Spotify once the XMAS songs have fallen so it can be the 2nd song by the same artist to be top 40 on streams alone *.*

All About That Bass sold 1 copy when at #33 - its highest streaming-only position was #53.

I believe DJ Snake - Turn Down For What had 1 week in the top 75 on streaming-only when the download was briefly unavailable for some reason.

1 sale of highly dubious origin isn't really sufficient enough to exclude it from this list (much like Band Aid 30's single unexplained 'sale' from streams isn't sufficient enough to call it a non-sales-only track).

Also I'm not certain but I think the week 'Turn Down For What' was unavailable to download was the week it dropped out of the top 100 for the first time, before immediately returning at #63 the following week after being made available again.

Great thread idea. Will be interesting seeing how this list grows in 2015 and see if more record labels start taking this approach of early release on streaming compared to official release date. Certainly hasn't hindered the success of Rude, All About That Bass and Am I Wrong (and I am sure Lips Are Movin will do just fine).

The Nights was one place behind Lips a couple of days ago on Spotify but didn't reach top 100 Waiting for zobbel.de to post this week's 101-200 debuts

ChartsPlus but you need to pay subscriptions Some here do and post some data for free where relevant.
You can get new entries to 1-200 weekly on zobbel.de http://www.zobbel.de/cluk/CLUK2014.HTM Weds I think.
Also if a song was 101-200 last week http://www.theofficialcharts.com/singles-chart/http://www.theofficialcharts.com/singles-chart/

What's your band called? It's not easy to get into the charts ESPECIALLY with streams included to the count. It's even more difficult for new/lesser known artists as most are not available to stream. If you don't know already you can see thehttp://www.livepopbars2.com/lpb1024.php?Region=143444&Chart=34&Albums=0&ref=lpb5&t=1419354586 which only counts sales for your band.

Also to make it qualify to chart you need to meet certain criteria or OCC won't include it on the chart. It needs to be a certain price but not free (40p min?) I think but I've seen on some occasions charting tracks sold for free. Tracks also need to be a certain length (max 15 minutes but I think there's a min limit as well). OCC made an article http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-rules/. I'm not too sure what's happened with the Instant Grats rules as the document is dated 2013 and I believe something changed this year.

Haha thanks much appreciated, my band is my user name 'The Polaris' though we would never enter a chart on sales as we are obviusly small and local :-(
But have a few hundred who listen to us a lot through streaming adn like to 'put work in' etc adn was kiinda talking with them about how it would affect any chatr position etc.

We fully comply with the rules.

As a matter of fact I did google your username but I kept getting this prize thing as the results

You could try to promote your band by making Facebook profiles, Wiki pages etc. and perhaps a bit of googling on how to be the next Maroon 5

Also you could set up a Soundcloud and YouTube account to post on. I'd also recommend sharing your band on YouTube comments etc. but I'm not sure too many people actually read them but worth a go nonetheless

I'd be interested to see how well these streaming hits do in actual download sales in the year-end charts. My suspicion is less-well than you might think from all the hype. Taylor Swift's removal of her streaming tracks has resulted in big download sales over a sustained period - either she's wrong and would have sold just as well anyway, or she's switched-on and made bags more money from extra download sales compared to cash from streaming. Her management think that to be the case, and errr, well it's not actually a very long list at all so far, even way low-down the combined chart, for 12 months...

So far, of course.

Well the reason it's not that big a list would be because not everyone releases their songs to Spotify in advance I think it's the kinda thing that will become more common in the future (I hope so) but as of right now, it pretty much shows all the big releases that were on Spotify in advance.

It could be a good tactic for new artists or flop-likely artists Union *cough* J *cough*
That way they would boost their stream reputation and preorders before its release, and hopefully not fall quickly if its mostly based on pre's

Not if giving away music for free on spitify cannibalises sales. I know I was sick of nico n Vince by the time u could buy it so that was at least one lost sale from me:-)

That records fail to do well until they are specifically featured just proves that it's not a true reflection of what people choose to buy or listen. It shows it's a passive radio type of useage. So spitify control it to an extent.

Meghan Trainor re-peaks from #72 to #60 on stream-only. She has one more week to increase this peak before Lips Are Movin gets officially released. Also we get a new addition from Omi whose Cheerleader enters at #96 on stream-only. It's also worth nothing that Kygo is this week's #97 with Firestone which most of its sales come from streaming, but it is on sale so does not make this list. I have a feeling that the Walk The Moon single also derived some of its chart units from actual download sales to register at No 75 on the combined chart, also via Amazon, although most other sites didn't issue it for sale until Sunday 7th June hence its meteoric rise to No 8 this week. But then this thread is entitled "little to no copies sold" so it's perfectly correct that 'Shut Up And Dance' should feature here - the vast majority of its chart units until last week were derived from audio streams.
